Re: Friday 4th March..... NEWBURY just had a look at the Doncaster & Newbury cards. There are about 6 that interest me & i will be checking out thier chances tonight. Want to check the races are on before doing 2-3 hrs work though! Forecast SP Etentard Indien is 8/13. I think it will more likely be 1/2.

Re: Friday 4th March..... NEWBURY Friday Doncaster 2.45 Who cares wins.......finished down the field poor run:o Runs in the class F claiming hurdle. we have a wide variety of poor horses in this race from 4yo to 13yo! The selection finished 8l behind makulu at Fontwell LTO under a McCoy ride when favourite. That race was a Class E handicap hurdle over 2m 4f. This trip is slightly shorter & although the horse has to lump a big weight round the course, it has better form than some of the rest. In its last 11 outings has only been out of 1st 4 on 3 occasions mainly over the 2m 4f trip so i am happy that it can stay. Its form is reasonable on good tracks & i can see an each way bet here. Carl Llewellyn rides which shows the trainer is after a strong handler to see it through. Forecast SP - 6/1 1pt Each way Doncaster 5.00 Reel Missile...............1st 5-2:D Runs in the class E hurdle over 2m 3f. Has only had 6 runs winning twice & placed 3 times for an unfashionable trainer Charlie Pogson. Owned by the family & also connection with son riding the horse (i think!). Just beaten LTO on the run in at Fakenham over 2m 4f in a better race (D). I am pretty sure the trainer has earmarked this race for its first win over hurdles (others were NH flat). There isnt much in this race & a favourites chance is held. Forecast SP 3/1 - 2pts win Newbury 3.05 Duchamp..................finished 3rd at 4/1 Runs in the class C chase over 2m 1f. Won nicley LTO over 2m 3f, this is a step up in class but again, looks to be the right opportunity for another win. Not inclined to go any further, trainer has rightly reduced the distance to travel by 2f which will suit it's style of running from up with the pace. ran a good race over C/D to be 2nd behind Great travel from Nicholls stable back in November, but that was it's 1st run for over a year. I think the horse has been raced lightly through its career becuase it does not need much racing & strips fit on each occasion. McCoy up tomorrow will be a major plus. Last year the pair won a nice race at Stratford beating the well regarded Carbury Cross from Jonjo O'Neills yard. Probably would not like it too soft but i'm sure the trainer will only run it if he is happy with the ground conditions. Forecast SP 11/4 - 2pts win Wolverhampton 4.05 Cold Turkey........finsihed 2nd at 3/1 (Gig Hrbor won!) I dont think its any secret that this is a horse to be follwed on the Aw this year. Won a nice race at Lingfield LTO over 1m 4f dispatching the useful Gig Harbour who re-opposes on 2lb better terms for a 2 1/2 l defeat. My only concern is that the horse is a lingfield specialist winning on the course an amazing 7 times over last 2 years. Last ran at Wolves in December finishing a disappointing 5th, however after last 3 runs down at Lingfield, the trainer has had to go for this #20k prize. Has Gig Harbor to beat on the day but again Gig harbor has no course wins either. Forecast SP 2/1 - 2pts win. 1pt win lucky 15 on the above 4 also. 7pts returned on reel Missile & 6pts on the lucky 15 = 13pts returned. Not too bad on a difficult days racing.

Re: Friday 4th March..... NEWBURY ODM, Pete's selections may even both win, however unless a system is being run, then we appreicate a little analysis on why they should win. I have placed my bets & still confident that the four i have selected above will be thereabouts with a great chance of winning their races. Bit quiet on this board the last few days, must be cos Ralphie is tipping so many winners the others can't keep up. :sad

Re: Friday 4th March..... NEWBURY I've just re-read my post from last night and I'm thoroughly ashamed of it:o I'd like to apologise peteg40. It was a pointless thing to say and a waste of space. I could blame it on the fact that I was drunk last night but that would just be spineless. However, I WAS drunk last night:D Hope there's no hard feelings.
