  1. Re: mark lawrensen is a right donkey I can't say I hate the bloke. I just wonder why a portion of my licence fee is being used to employ the bloke when it's apparent that you get a better chance of getting accurate football tips from some trout from Loose Women.
  2. Re: mark lawrensen is a right donkey Are you joking? The man is a clown. I looked at his results versus celebrity guests on the BBC website. He constantly loses to such renowned football "experts" as fat gay astrologer Russell Grant. In fact, I've just looked at this season's results against celebrity guests and he's only managed to get the better of one of them. It would be sexist of me to point out that that was a woman, so I won't. 3. Re: Norwich v Liverpool 29th September 2012 Not really overated by the bookies as such...
  4. Re: Arsenal v Chelsea 29th September 2012 They've had clever, skilful players in the past too. They've often played a passing game. The point that's been made is that is has never worked against Arsenal and they've only been successful against them when they've bought the big man on to add some physicality. Will it work tomorrow? Who knows.
  5. Re: Norwich v Liverpool 29th September 2012 Always difficult to predict a result when it comes to relegation battles like this. Liverpool are around the 4/5 mark, drifting with some bookies, shortening with others as people struggle to make their minds up. If Liverpool win by 4 goals it will be no surprise to some because of the performances they've put up against the likes of the two Manchester teams. To others, it will be no surprise if they lose because of the way that they've conceded goals and missed bucket-loads of chances. I'm with the former school. I see them winning this by a couple of goals.
  6. Re: Arsenal v Chelsea 29th September 2012 Why can't you use that stat? If it's true (and I don't know whether it is or not) it says that Chelsea struggle to beat Arsenal without a player of the type of Drogba which is a valid comment as they won't have such a player for tomorrow's game. Certainly the comments is no less valid than the comments that were being made on the head to head results when Man City played Liverpool the other week which went back about ten years when not one of the current City players would have been playing for them.
  7. Re: Liverpool V Manchester United > 23rd September Well done United:clap. I'm sure Liverpool will fair better against fellow relegation strugglers Norwich next week. 10/11 looks a good price.
  8. Re: Liverpool V Manchester United > 23rd September Oh my God. Jonny Evans in central defence. That means Liverpool will score.
  9. Re: Liverpool V Manchester United > 23rd September A run of "Luck" doesn't last for 13 months. Liverpool aren't scoring because they are rubbish at finishing, as personified by their main goal threat Suarez who needs eight chances before he manages to put one away. That really isn't bad luck.
  10. Re: Liverpool V Manchester United > 23rd September Whilst it's rubbish to say that they "had to win absolutely" against Galatasaray (they would still have been odds-on to qualify from the group even if they had drawn this week) I agree with you that United have made a far from convincing start to the season. That's absolutely correct. But they're not the ones struggling just above the relegation zone.

Re: monday Somebody get rid of this ****
  12. Re: Liverpool V Manchester United > 23rd September I was merely responding t the post that quoted United's performance against Galatasary as evidence that they could perform well against them. If you're going to take United's recent performance in Europe into account, then you have to also take Liverpool's into account. They have played two teams from two of the poorest leagues in the whole of Europe and failed to beat one of them and conceded three goals against the other one. I don't see them beating United but, as you say, Liverpool could always "steal" a win.
  13. Re: Liverpool V Manchester United > 23rd September I don't really see how United's performance yesterday adds weight to the chances of Liverpool winning. You could say that United weren't convincing against Galatasary but then you'd have to balance that out with Liverpool's performance at home in Europe the other week. United beat the team that are currently leading the Turkish championship. Liverpool couldn't beat a team that's in the bottom half of the Scottish Premiership. The Scottish Premierhip for God's sake. How poor does that look?
