Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 2.45 Carlisle Red Roar might need another run to reach peak fitness but with conditions looking ideal for this mare, she is worth taking a chance with. Ground if good or G/S will be ideal, although over this extended 5f, good would be better. All 5 of her wins have been on stiff tracks, 4 of those with a stiff uphill finish, including one win here, at this meeting last year, when winning over 5f. On her lowest rating since winning back to back races as a 3yo. 0.5 pt Each Way at 12-1 bog ( just missed the 14-1 Bet365 had been offering ) Non Runner

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. Windsor 9.05 Lucky Black Star is making his seasonal debut tonight, back on turf. Latest two runs came on the AW, finishing 3rd and 5th, around 5 lengths off the winner on both occasions, so not bad efforts. Two runs on turf, look less promising, last on his debut run, then well beaten 5th of 7, so it would appear he might be better suited to the AW. His 2nd turf maiden run was I think his best effort, the winner won very easily, not surprising as that winner went on to finish runner up in 4 out of 5 Listed runs. The other 3 that finished ahead of Lucky Black Star have all since won and between them, only been out of the first 3 in in 3 of their 15 races. If he is fit for his seasonal debut, he might just spring a little surprise. 0.5 pt Each Way at 20-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 5.35 Ascot My Catch comes from the same stable that won this in 2011, todays runner has similar breed profile to the 2011 winner. Had just one run so far, runner up in conditions race, setting new course record for juveniles, should improve a bundle for that experience. Drawn in stall 18, as was last years winner. 0.5 pt Each Way at 14-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 320 Strattford Magical legend is a tentative pick in this competitive race but the odds do look big when profiling the selection. A CD winner along with placing another 2/3 runs. The selection is now 12yrs old but last year the race won over CD was a class 3 today we drop into a class 4 where we are yet to win but again we placed on 2/3 runs chasing. We go well fresh so there are no concerns in that department. Jockey and horse have a good connection as they are yet to finish out the frame when teaming up from 5 runs including hurdles form. All in all if in the same heart as last season the price looks big in a tough race as chances can be given for a few. 0.25pt ew 14/1

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 4.25 Ascot The Royal Hunt Cup is one of the toughest handicaps of the season, let alone this meeting. I'm hoping Frankie can steer Burkes Rock into the winners enclosure. This filly progressed well last year and again this season. Two runs in Listed races, 4th on the AW after a torrid passage thru the race, then won at Goodwood, where she had the antepost gamble for this race back in 4th place. She's drawn 21 of the 30 runners, which looks a high enough draw, judged on yesterdays results. 0.5 pt Each way at 16-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 545 uttoxeter the fav looks to have a solid chance if repeating the last run in which the selection won by 9l at southwell. The concern is that the race may have come to soon as the race was only 9 days ago. The pen for winning lto looks fair and we should be competitive off this mark. The pipe horse looks a danger as won a class 5 that's working out but did pull up lto. 1/2 pt @ 7/2 Jewel in the sun

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. Ascot 2.30 In the opening race on the card the Jersey Stakes, I'm taking two runners against the field. I have been doing some breed profiling for Ascot and both these runners come out on top. They both have form good enough to get involved, the first is Gale Force Ten, who has finished 4th and 2nd in both the French and Irish 2,000 Guineas, which makes him the most worthy contender. Complimentor the French raider, has been placed in 3 Listed races this season, the first of which was on polytrack, where he ran 2nd to the subsequent winner of the French Guineas. Gale Force Ten 1 pt Win at 11-2 Complimentor 0.5 pt Each Way at 33-1

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 810 Kempton. Chili green looks a big price here. If the horse is of the same ability as before being off the track 200+ days we can certainly out run the price. Big if but we are a big price so i'm willing to give this one a chance today. Made our come back in much better races showing very little. Moved to this yard after just 1 run with L carter so not sure what went on there. Interesting that last time out for this stable we were fancied at 4/1 at Brighton so hopefully is showing something at home. Can forgive a poor run at that track and looking at the breeding would not have suited. Today we have a inform claimer on board taking off 7lb and the horse is fitted with cheek pieces back at Kempton where we have a decent record of 3/10, 6 places in total. Trip also looks fine 2w 7p 10r on the aw. 0.25 ew 40/1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. Ascot 3.45 Saddlers Rock could have the ideal conditions to land his first Group 1 success. The breed profiling for this race ends up with a shortlist of the two previous winners in the field, Colour Vision and Rite of Passage and the selection Saddlers Rock. he finished 3rd in this last year, not beaten far by the winner and with both his Group race wins coming on good ground, the forecasted rain, should with a bit of luck, turn the G/F going to good, come race time. 1 pt Win at 8-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. Ascot 3.05 Alive Alive Oh is a superbly bred filly and her profile fits that of 3 of the past 10 winners of the Ribblesdale. Finished 3rd on only start as a 2yo to subsequent Irish 2,000 Guineas winner. This season she won her maiden then most impressive when stepped up to Listed company on most recent start. there are a couple in here that have ben placed in this years Classics but they could struggle against this filly who looks destined for far better things in the future. 1 pt Win at 5-2 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 3.05 Ascot. Echo what JR says about Alive alive to run a big race. I narrowed down the field by using HRB and another well known site. 10/10 winners had run no more than 4 times as a 2 yr old 9/10 had run in the last 55 days 9/10 finished in the frame lto 8/10 sired by a group 1 winner 8/10 won over 1m 2f Drawn well in stall 11 trained by a irish trainer and with in the price range of the most likely winner Alive alive can go very well today. 0.5pt win 1.5pt place ( 9/4 bog win and 1.6 place BF ) Will edit price when market settles or leave at BF SP as a non runner

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 2.30 Ascot Plenty of nice looking fillies for the opener, there are 4 in here which match the breed profile most closely. Of the four Wedding Ring for the Godolphin operation looks to have the best form. This once raced filly should improve from her debut, when winning a Newmarket maiden. The only issue may be the draw, which seems to be favouring the lower drawn runners in recent races. 0.5 pt Each Way at 14-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 5.45 Wolverhampton Give us a Belle is pretty moderate but this race won't take much winning. Still a maiden after 14 races but at the end of last year, he started to show some bits of form. First run back following a 4 month layoff, ran well when 3rd over this trip on turf. Latest run was a well beaten last of 5 in a Brighton maiden but you can ignore that run, at the weights he would have needed to run to around a mark of 80 to have won that maiden. Tried in first time blinkers today, back in handicap company with a decent 3lb claimer on board, over what looks his ideal trip. 0.5 pt Each Way at 22-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 6.50 Thirsk Slide Show is having her 2nd run for Dandy Nicholls tonight, this mare is making a quick return to the track, having run 5 days ago in an apprentice race, where she pulled too hard early in the race and had nothing left at the finish. Very well bred mare, who had 3 runs in Ireland as a 3yo, finishing 3rd on her final start. Didn't show a great deal for previous trainer Colin Teague, since coming over from Ireland. Sprint King Dandy Nicholls rarely gets winners over these trips, in the past 5 years just 3 wins from 49 runs. Not a great record but when you compare his long distance runners returning from a layoff, he's 0 from 8. Those making a quick return to the track, he's 2 from 8. If this mare retains any ability, she looks worth an each way punt at the price. 0.5 pt Each Way at 22-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. Salisbury 3.50 Best race of the day, a tough looking class 2 handicap, in which you could make a case for any of these winning, on their best form. I'm taking a chance with Asatir, who has been fairly disappointing lately. Won both his runs as a juvenile and also first start as a 3yo in handicap company, after which he was sent off Fav for one of the big handicaps at the Goodwood Festival over 10f, in which he finished well down the field. Showed better form back at a mile on subsequent run, finished 3rd to the much improved filly Sweetnessandlight, trying to give her almost a stone and a half, she followed up that win, running a close 4th in a Group 3. On his breed profile Asatir has plenty of pace, so much so, that 7f might even be his best trip and for me a mile would be his maximum. From his 8 runs so far, I'd be happy to write off four of them due to either Trip or Ground being a negative, all other 4 runs with the right conditions have been plenty good enough. Also fitted with a visor for the 1st time today and with conditions looking to suit, I think he is worth a punt at the price. It might turn out that he just isn't in love with the game anymore but if he does run well today, next time the price will be far shorter. 0.5 pt each Way at 14-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. Newcastle 8.15 Elnadwa is a very well bred filly from the Godolphin operation, both her Sire and Dam are Grade 1 winners in the States. This 3yo filly takes on the older horses for the first time but is in receipt of 10lb WFA allowance. Still very much unexposed, having had just two runs as a juvenile, winning her maiden on the AW on her 2nd outing. Ran well behind her more fancied stable mate when finishing 2nd on 3yo seasonal debut. She should improve with that run under her belt and she has the potential to be quite a decent filly. 1 pt Win at 4-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. Musselburgh 5.30 Royal Caper's form this season looks pretty modest, 2nd last, last, then 7th of 14 beaten a fair way. I don't think his form is as bad as it looks on paper, he wasn't beaten far on first run of the year, despite only beating one rival. Then his last two runs, he's had a troubled passage in both runs, so its easy to give him the benefit of the doubt. Trainer sends him on the long journey north, which I doubt he would make this trip, without thinking he had a fair chance. Might also get a clearer run, back on turf. As a juvenile he ran a very good 5th in a Newmarket maiden, his other turf runs were pretty poor but at least he did show some potential. 0.5 pt Each Way at 10-1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. JR keeping up his hot run. Cracking 20/1 shot to carry on his good form :clap 430 Yarmouth Colinca's Lad goes well here 3 wins and 6/6 have at least placed. We ran a good race lto and today drop 2 classes into a small field which again we usually go well in 3/6 4 placed efforts. The claimer gets on well with the horse also which is a plus when using claimers. Drawn well today in stall 1. CD winner and 1 win 2 placed over the trip. We are a couple of lb over our last winning mark but based on the last run in this company we should go well. 0.5pt win 5/1 bog 0.5pt place BF will edit when there is some more money about 2.78 place

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 3.15 Newcastle will be a tough slog, especially if there is any more rain. It might well pay to be at the front of the pack, rather than chasing the pace, which will no doubt where we will see Oriental Fox running from, especially given his decent looking draw. Only joined Johnston this year, after racing on the continent. Ran well on first 3 outings but put in a modest effort last time out over this trip, that came on fast ground, which might have been the main issue, as he has one of the stoutest pedigree's in this field. 0.5 pt each Way at 20-1 bog
