He has gone close in the last two running's of the Epsom Dash, 2nd in 2011 and 5th last year, on both occasions was hampered at a vital stage. With the Easterby yard hitting a bit of form and De Sousa booked for the ride today, only needs his fair share of luck to make it 3rd time lucky. 0.5 pt Each Way at 18-1 bog

Cd winner in similar company off 87 today we run off 97 with the assistance of a 7lb claimer who seems to be coming on now and i certainly think he is decent value. We have won off as high as 100 also on heavy at ffos las over much shorter. In this company if a going day we can be competitive as we have a record of 5 runs 2 wins 3 places in class 5 hcp chase. The visor is fitted for the 1st time so on this quicker ground we should be up with the pace and today and put in a bold effort. We have 2 wins over this trip and if the race has not come to quick we look a fair value price today. 0.25pt ew 12/1 bog

Re: Bully's, BB and ******* betting blog. 2.45 Southwell Sycho Fred is one of the oldest runners in this handicap chase but is still capable on his day, as he showed when winning last season, from almost a stone higher handicap mark. The handicapper wasn't very kind to this old boy last year, keeping him around the same mark, despite some modest runs. Finished last of 8 on his seasonal debut but I take the view that he probably need that run and the handicapper has finally given him a chance to get competitive again off his current mark. 0.5 pt Each Way at 25-1 bog

On the overall balance of his form, he looks worthy of a little each way. Dropping back to 7f on his return to turf, which looks a good move judged on his runs over a mile on the AW this year. His 5 runs on the AW this year, twice finished runner up, twice had no luck in running and his latest run when only 7th, was much tougher than todays contest. 0.5 pt Each Way at 20-1 bog

If she runs to that level on her return to Kempton, she could go close. In her maiden win, the front two were well clear of the 3rd and the runner up has won twice since, including a decent Goodwood handicap, also placed at Chester and Epsom in a couple of good handicaps. 0.5pt Each Way at 10-1 bog

Looked outclassed in the Victoria Cup last time out but had previously won well, making all in the first time blinkers. Improved a great deal last year, after coming over from Ireland and continued that improvement this season, back in this grade which should enable him to get more competitive. 0.5 pt Each Way at 16-1 bog

A very well bred colt, costing 50,000 Euro's as a yearling, related to quite a few winners and a full brother to a French filly who was runner up one her first two runs as a juvenile, prior to running 5th in a Group 1. He is by Green Desert so should love this fast ground. 1 pt Win at 4-1 bog

No pen for winning the apprentice race in which we beat Spanish plume who has blinkers on today but on breeding trip is against this one and the biggest danger could well be Gladstone who should appreciate the track going and the trip. Is 3lb higher than when runner up last year but looks to have improved a great deal in the past year. Has been running over hurdles recently, winning the last twice. Best race of the day on a moderate card, which includes a couple of 3yo's who look to have this between them but at the prices Take a Note looks worth taking them on with. Meehans 2yo's usually improve a great deal from their first run, so today he might need the experience but whatever he does today, this colt looks destined for far better things. I wouldn't be surprised to see him make a winning debut but EW looks the safest bet, with Meehan's record, although I think this 2yo could just be a bit special. 0.5 pt Each Way at 7-1 bog

An expensive yearling, just two runs so far, unplaced on his 2yo debut but well backed to land a Warwick maiden on 3yo debut. Meets Platinum on better terms today so hopefully gets closer to that one and the fav is just way to short for me. Trainer is in good form. The selection goes well here 2/4 and 2/6 over this trip so fingers crossed we can do so again.

Lingfield 6.25 This isn't a race for the faint hearted, with a bunch of mostly out of form and unreliable sprinters, this will most likely put an end to our good run of late but at the price bet365 is offering, I couldn't resist. Yourlikemefrank hasn't won a race since January 2011 but had been in great form since the summer of 2010, winning 5 of his 10 runs, which saw his handicap mark rise from 46 to 71. Whats in his favour today, is he's back to a winnable mark, got Cathy Gannon in the saddle, Cheekpieces back on replacing the blinkers and is well drawn from stall 13. He has been a bit slow to start in a few of his recent runs but if getting off to a quick start and bagging the rail, he could spring a surprise. 0.5 pt Each Way at 25-1 bog

Sandown 4.05 Chelwood Gate had just one run as a 2yo, winning a maiden at Newcastle and is set a tough looking target for his handicap debut, from a mark of 93. That maiden looks like it was far better than you would expect, he won it well despite showing his greenness and if he has improved over the winter, he could turn out to be good enough for pattern company. The 2nd and 3rd both contested Group races following that maiden run, neither disgraced themselves and on a strict line of form with the 3rd, Chelwood Gate would have finished around 4th or 5th in the Coventry Stakes, maybe even closer. 0.5 pt each Way at 14-1 bog
