Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Update: Masamah (-2.00) Tres Coronas + 22.50 Enzaal (-1.00) Stor Moon (-2.00) Scatter Dice (-2.00) Zamoyski (-5.00) Nashville (-2.00) Bets - 17 Won - 4 Lost - 13 Pts Staked - 51.00 Pts Returned - 71.03 Profit - 21.03 One good winner in there, couple of close efforts from Masamah and Enzaal but apart from that there was some poor selections. Strike rate isn't the greatest with only 4/17 but due to the prices the profit is looking quite healthy, was looking a lot better bar a disaster over the weekend but confident I will bounce back.

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 15:15 Doncaster Interesting 3 year old handicap this with many potential improvers lining up here in this 7 furlong race. The one I like most in this field is the Clive Cox trained Jubilant Queen who makes her 5th start here today. From her four starts to date she has managed two 2nd placed efforts, the first was on her debut at Folkstone in July last year where she was beaten by a length over the minimum trip. She was then upped in trip to six furlongs when she was sent to Ffos Las for another maiden race. She was 5/10 that day and didn't create much impression at all, the ground may have been against her that day in good to soft conditions as in her next and final race as a 2 year, she was beaten by just a short head at Bath in good to firm ground, again over six furlongs. The way she stayed on that day certainly caught the eye and she just failed to get up on the line. The form of that race has been boosted as the winner of that race won next time out in a handicap off a mark of 75 (which was also that horses reappearance this year). Jubilant Queen entered her first race in handicap company off a mark of 69 on her reappearance last month and also her first try on the all weather when running over six furlongs again at Kempton. She was hard ridden from an early stage that day and never really got going despite being sent off favourite. Switched back to turf today and stepped up to 7 furlongs for the first time as well as being dropped 1lb in the handicap down to a mark of 68 should all work in her favour, especially with the ground looking set to be good to firm which was the same conditions when she was just narrowly defeated at Bath. Another positive is that the trainer has a 17% strike rate with his 3 year olds so far in 2013 which is quite an impressive return. I certainly rate her a decent each way chance, especially at the current prices. 1pt E/W Jubilant Queen @ 9/1 (Ladbrokes)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 13:45 York The consistent First Mohican gets my vote in the opening race of this 3 day meeting at York. Sir Henry Cecil's five year old has won three races from four to date and should have a great chance of notching up his fourth win. He made his debut as a 2 year old at Yarmouth over seven furlongs in the mud and although he was green and hanging throughout the race he still went on to win the race by a confortable 2 lengths after forging clear inside the final furlong. He was unraced as a 3 year old and wasn't seen on track again until last year as a 4 year old where he won on his handicap debut in a 14 runner race at Redcar off a mark of 80. He was upped to today's trip of 10 furlongs that day for the first time and he certainly relished the step up as he won convincingly. Raised 8 lbs for that effort and stepped up into a class 3 handicap race which did not stop him at all when romping a field of 15 at Nottingham winning by 3 and a half lengths (the second place was a further 2 and a half lengths clear of the remainder). He was then upped in trip to 12 furlongs and stepped up into a class 2 handicap, as well as being raised 12lbs up to a handicap mark of 100 when sent to Doncaster in November last year. He was well beaten that day and finished midway down the field, he also didn't have the soft conditions that his winning form has been in which could have added to the disappointing run. Still off a mark of 100 for today's race but I certainly think this horse will be appearing in listed and possibly group company this season so I feel he is certainly capable of winning a handicap off this mark. Goes well fresh having won on his debut as a 2 year old and on his reappearance last year after a year and a half off the track. He is dropped back to 10 furlongs today which is a trip he has recorded two of his wins over which is a positive for me. This will be a tough task off top however but with the ground now going on the softer side of good and more rainexpected, he should have his ideal conditions. 2pts E/W First Mohican (Bet 365 - BOG, 1/4 odds 1,2,3)

Argh forgot to write the price in, took 5/1 at the time but will just go with the SP for the purposes of the thread since I never quoted it, silly me. Still a winner is a winner.

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 15:50 York I like the look of Opera Box in this 1m4f contest for the Marcus Tregoning yard. This 5 year old is very lightly raced having only had the four runs to date. She made her debut back in May 2011 as a 3 year old at Haydock over 10 furlongs finishing 8/13 in what was a fairly poor effort. She was then off the track for around 15 months when returning in August 2012 at Folkstone in a maiden race, again over 10 furlongs. Put up a game effort finishing 2/9, just quarter a length off the winner. She was then off track again for a long absence when returning to the track last month on the all weather at Lingfield where she held on gamely to win by a short head. Made her handicap debut later that month back on turf at Doncaster in a class 4 handicap off a mark of 79. She stayed on fairly well that day, losing by half a length to a decent handicapper in Boonga Roogeta who has won 8/16 races and has went on to win another handicap since off 5lb higher and is now rated 94 on turf. Opera Box is stepped up 2 furlongs in trip today which should suit her. Raised 4lbs for her second placed effort at Doncaster but off a mark of 83 she could still be fairly treated. 1pt E/W Opera Box @ 10/1 (Paddy Power - 1/4 odds, 1,2,3,4)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Travelled well, bit of a bad ride I thought if I'm honest, short of room when trying to make progress and was constantly in behind a wall. Eased off once it was beaten so could be one to keep an eye on in the future. Still profit for the day which I'm happy with. Toying with the idea of one in the last but probably save it for tomorrow.

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 13:45 York Cheworee certainly looks like a filly on the upgrade and gets my vote to land the opening race on day 2. She's raced 9 times from 5-7 furlongs, the majority of those runs coming over 6-7 furlongs having only raced twice over today's minimum trip and that was on two of her last three runs. It took five attempts in maiden company to get her off the mark when she finally won at Newbury over 6 furlongs in a 13 runner race where she ran out a very impressive winner, hacking up by four and a half lengths. She then competed on four handicaps in the remainder of 2012 with form of 4532. Her two placed efforts came in big handicap fields at Doncaster over 5 furlongs where she finished 2 lengths off the winner in 3rd place from 19 and she finished 2/12 at Newmarket over 6 furlongs. Both those efforts came off a mark of 78 and she was raised 4lbs to a mark of 82 to make her reappearance this season last month. She was dropped back to the minimum trip for the return and she managed to land the race on the nod after staying on strongly inside the final furlong. She's been given a 4lb rise for that win today which may not be enough to stop her going in again, especially since she is likely to still be progressing with tomorrow only being her tenth run date. It seems as if 5 furlongs is her preferred trip having placed and won on her two efforts over the trip. She also acts on any ground having won on good to firm ground in her maiden race and in soft ground last month at Windsor. 1pt E/W Cheworee @ 9/1 (WillHill - BOG, 1/4 odds 1,2,3,4)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Not long in from work so bit rushed to put this one up: 20:35 Newmarket I liked the way Rebecca Romero stayed on late to take third place on her reappearance at Sandown last month and off a mark 1lb higher today she should be in with a chance. She is now 7lbs higher than her last win but she handles any ground having won in conditions firmer and softer than good. She never really runs a poor race in honesty and from her last 7 races, she has only been beaten by over 2 lengths on one occasion. All those races have been off marks of 73 and 74 so I do feel it's only a matter of time before she is back in the winners enclosure. Ryan Moore takes the ride for the first time and is a jockey in form so she must have a strong each way chance in this race. 2pts E/W Rebecca Romero @ 6/1 (WillHill - BOG)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Rebecca Romero was really unlucky in defeat, finished a dead heat in second after running on strongly once again although she got bashed early on in the race which put her to the back of the field, had she not been hampered she may have even got up to win. Update: Jubilant Queen (NR) First Mohican + 7.50 Opera Box (-2.00) Cheworee (-2.00) Rebecca Romero + 1.00 Bets - 21 Won - 5 Placed - 1 Lost - 15 Pts Staked - 63.00 Pts Returned - 87.53 Profit - 24.53 Just thought I would do another update whilst I had time, need to try pick a day to update it every week rather than an update here and there. Slight profit since the last one after one winner and a place. Bit gutted I didn't quote the price on First Mohican as it would have been a bit more but only myself to blame. Have added a place column in my stats now but will only be counting the horses that place in which I have each way money on, not win only horses.

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Some really good racing to get stuck into today. I notice Echo Brava runs again today at Newmarket and although I do like the chances of him going in again, I will probably leave the race alone. Onto today's selections: 13:45 York Really interesting 2 year old race this with many likely improvers in the race despite 9/14 already winning a race. I am going to be siding with a horse who has yet to win and that is first season trainer Olly Stevens' Hoku who makes just her second start here today. She was fancied on her debut at Windsor over today's minimum trip, going off 2/1 favourite but she was the slowest away which didn't help her chances. She was however the eye-catcher of the race and looked dangerous at one point before her effort petered out. The winner of that race Quatuor lines up against her again today and that horse has boosted the form of that race by going in again at Chester 9 days ago. This race may be a bit too soon for her and I don't fancy her at the current prices despite the fact she is probably deserved of favouritism and will be a leading player. Olly Stevens has had 2/8 winners from his 2 year olds so does have a couple of useful 2 year olds and hopefully Hoku can be another one. 1pt E/W Hoku @ 8/1 (Bet Victor - BOG, 1/5 odds 1,2,3) 15:50 York My other bet from the day comes in the only other sprint race on the card. This 3 year old handicap is also full of potential improvers and the one I like is Secret Look trained by Ed McMahon. This gelding has only had 7 runs to date, winning 2 in the process. He was impressive on his debut last year at Haydock over the minimum trip when running out a 1 and a quarter length victor. He ran a poor race at Doncaster on her second start when stepped up to 6 furlongs in a novice race before heading back to Haydock to make his handicap debut off a mark of 82. Was well beaten again that day but I think he can be excused as the ground conditions of good to firm seemed to have played against him considering his maiden win came in soft ground. He was then sent to Chester, again up in trip to 6 furlongs where he landed his first handicap race off a mark of 81. He beat Effie B by 1 and a half lengths, a horse who has since won 2 handicap races, one of which at the same track off a mark of 89 (was rated 83 in the race my selection won at Chester), a track which we know can be a bit of a specialist track with many horses not taking to the very sharp track. He was upped 5lbs for that win and returned to the place of his maiden win at Haydock. He was also dropped back down in trip and stepped up in grade and although soft going seems to be his preferred ground, he ran a poor race in heavy ground finishing 5/7. A bit more encouragement was shown on his final start of the season at Nottingham when he was beaten half a length in third off a mark of 85 and back in soft ground. Made his reappearance at the same track last month where he finished a very unlucky 5/11. Was only beaten half a length in what was a rather bunched finish but he didn't get much room at a key stage when he was staying on and had he got the space, may have got up to win the race. Raised 3lbs for that today up to a mark of 88 but I don't feel that is beyond him and if he avoids trouble in running today, he could make amends for last time out. He does have form to reverse from the winner Mayfield Girl in that race today but with a 3lb swing in the weights in his favour then it shouldn't be a problem at all. 2pts E/W Secret Look @ 9/1 (Paddy Power - BOG, 1/4 odds, 1,2,3,4)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 There is a few more I was pondering on but just opted for one more bet for the day:

16:50 Newmarket
Luca Cumani's lightly raced 4 year old
Semeen
has only had the 6 starts to date and I fancy his chances of getting back in the winners enclosure in this race. He didn't make his debut until last year as a 3 year old and after two disappointing efforts over 10 furlongs with a disappointing effort over 8 furlongs sandwiched between them in maiden races, he was possibly given a lenient handicap mark of 65 when entering handicap company for the first time and it certainly seemed the case when he won a 16 runner field at Newmarket over 10 furlongs in good to firm ground. Was raised 4lbs for that and although he hasn't shown much in his 2 races since at Brighton and on his all weather debut at Lingfield, he should have a chance here today dropped 1lb off a mark of 68. There is a chance he can still improve and if that is the case then he should have no trouble winning this. The fact Richard Hughes takes the ride suggests to me a big run is expected from him, especially with the stable in good form at the moment.
2pt win Semeen @ 4/1 (Bet365 - BOG)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Pretty good day with two places at decent enough prices and a winner at 4/1 :nana Hoku was quite slow away again and did stay on well late on so I will be keeping an eye on her, possibly over 6 furlongs but would be worth a bet at 5 furlongs again.

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 15:10 Ripon Wide open looking race this, a case can be made for several of these runners but the one I like most is Body and Soul against her elders. Firstly she receives a 9lb weight allowance for her age which will certainly aid her chances. She improved on every run as a 2 year old last year, notching up 4 wins from 6 races. She broke her maiden tag at this track on her second race over the minimum trip running out a one length winner. She then went on to win at Thirsk and Newbury, both over 5 furlongs before finishing 3/19 at York on her first step up to 6 furlongs. She was only beaten three quarters of a length which was still a decent effort. She was then stepped up in class into a listed race at Redcar on her last start as a 2 year old where she hacked up by 2 and three quarter lengths, she stayed on powerfully inside the final furlong to surge clear and reversed the form of her previous race with the winner of the race at York finishing in behind her in second place at Redcar. She takes a drop down in class today into a class 3 race for her handicap debut and off a mark of 95 she should be quite dangerous and I feel this race could be on her way to better things this season. 2pts E/W Body and Soul @ 11/2 (Bet Victor - BOG, 1/5 odds, 1,2,3)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Disappointing one today, possibly just needed the run so will be one to keep an eye on in the future still.

20:50 Leicester
Plutocracy
should have a great chance of making it 2-2 from handicaps off his revised mark of 75 today. He has been penalised 5lbs for his win at Windsor last week which was his handicap debut. His form as a 2 year old last year was nothing special but he certainly made a mockery of his lenient handicap mark of 70 last week at Windsor when winning by 3 lengths in what was a very comfortable victory. This was his first try at the trip of 12 furlongs as well which he gets again today and in my eyes this horse is likely to keep improving in handicap company this season, especially over middle distances. The stable is in decent form and this is his only runner on the card here at Leicester so he must rate this horses chances fairly highly, especially considering he is turning him out again so quickly after last Monday's win. Ted Durcan also comes to Leicester for just the one ride which is another big positive in my opinion.
3pt win Plutocracy

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 19:50 Leicester James Fanshawe's 4 year old gelding Villoresi has just had the one run to date so far and that was last year as a 3 year old in a maiden race at Kempton over today's trip of 10 furlongs. There was a lot to like about the gelding's win that day as he ran out a 6 length winner after forging clear inside the final furlong in just hands and heels. He makes his handicap debut here today off a mark of 80 which should certainly be well within his capabilities for a trainer who has been amongst the winners. 2pt win Villoresi @ 5/2 (WillHill - BOG)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Slight profit to the day as Plutocracy goes in at 10/11. Thought it would be a short price but not as short as that but never mind, a winner is a winner. Villoresi was a tad disappointing and maybe one that I won't be keeping an eye on although possibly just needed the cobwebs to be blown away as he did stay on late on in the day without troubling the leaders.

Quite a predictable steady pace didnt suit and I thought this one might bowl along in front, but connections obviously werent savy to the lack of front runners in the race. Off the bridle fairly early before staying on late where nothing came from off the pace. Honest gallop or step up in trip next time out and he could be interesting.

Yeah have to agree with that and you never know, there might be a bit of value around him next time depending what Fanshawe decides to do with him.

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Just the one selection in the afternoon meetings, working an early shift tomorrow so may have a look at the evening cards once I get home from work. 17:30 Newcastle Well I know this doesn't come as a surprise, me tipping up a Mark Johnston but the fact he just sends the one horse to Newcastle today is very interesting in my eyes. Also the fact that his runner Kingscroft was last seen on track just three days ago where he finished a decent runner up at Thirsk on Saturday after making ground late on in the day. This was the first time he was back down to his last winning mark having been running on marks of 84-89 since his last win back in November at Wolverhampton over 7 furlongs (although he has won off higher in the past). He did post a couple of decent efforts off a mark of 89 before dropping swiftly back down to a mark of 83 within his last 3 appearances which could make him dangerously handicapped again and there was sure signs of that on his appearance on Saturday. The 5 year old appears in his 50th race today so he has plenty mileage on the clock but he is also looking for his tenth win in this race which shows he is quite a consistent sort. 6 of his 9 wins have come over today's trip of 7 furlongs so this clearly is the trip he relishes most despite the fact half his races have been over this trip (27 in total). He has previously won off marks of 84 and 88 as a 3 year old in what was a terrific 2011 for him, winning 7 times in total from 21 runs that year. He is proven on any ground having won on the all weather, in good to firm and in soft ground so tomorrow's likely soft ground won't be a problem for this gelding. It pays to be drawn high at Newcastle over this 7 furlong trip so in stall 10 from 12 runners he has a decent draw. This is also J-P Guillambert's only ride at the meeting tomorrow which is another positive for me, even though he has not ridden Kingscroft previously. 1pt E/W Kingscroft @ 15/2 (Bet365 - BOG, 1/4 odds, 1,2,3)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 15:10 Goodwood I fancy Henry Candy's The Confessor to land this class 2 handicap over a course and distance that this gelding clearly acts at with form of 3133 over course and distance. He's also finished 3rd here over 6 furlongs. In fact since winning over course and distance last year off a mark of 86 in a big handicap, he has placed here twice off today's mark of 90. The most recent being on his reappearance at this track 19 days ago where he just seemed to have lacked a recent run having travelled well throughout the race and looking the likely winner at one point in my opinion before running out of steam close to home. The winner that day George Guru also goes in this race but my selection has a 5lb swing of the weights in his favour which should be enough to reverse the form in my opinion. The fact he has now had a recent run in him should also make him last home considering this is his preferred trip of 7 furlongs having won 3 of his 4 races over the trip. Cathy Gannon has won on him previously and takes the ride again today. She has only unplaced once on board from 5 runs when in the saddle. 3pt win The Confessor @ 7/2 (Bet365 - BOG)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 16:05 Haydock

14:05 Newmarket Charles Hills has made a decent start to the season so far with 7 winners and he holds strong claims in this race with the lightly raced Basseterre who makes his seasonal reappearance here today. He had a good campaign last year as a 3 year old, firstly winning on his debut at Lingfield over a mile, running out a one length winner over Scatter Dice who went on to have a decent campaign himself (won a class 2 handicap off a mark of 87, albeit with a 5lb claimer on board, and is now rated 91). He then went on to make his handicap debut at Windsor off a mark of 77, he was restless in the stalls that day and also missed the break which haltered his chances and that effort is one that can easily be ignored. Switched back to the AW after that where he was narrowly beaten into 2nd place at Kempton before going on to win a handicap at the third attempt off his mark of 77. Raised 5lbs for that when he was sent to Ayr, finishing 3/10. I thought the way he travelled that day was rather eye catching but he was unable to pick up inside the final furlong and was beaten by 2 lengths. A poor effort at Sandown followed that before he landed a class 3 handicap at this track, again over the mile trip. The margin of victory that day was a neck but he fought off the efforts of the 2nd placed horse well to hold on for the win. He then ended 2012 with another run on the AW at Kempton where he finished a close 2nd off a mark of 85 (3lbs higher than his win at Newmarket). Comes here today off a mark of 86 and steps up in trip for the first time to 1m1f today. Looks the type of horse who is likely to improve this season and this longer trip could see some improvement in him. He clearly goes well fresh having won his debut last season so I have no worries about him not being fit for today's run, especially with the stable in decent form as well. The fact he has a course win already suggests he likes it round here and that should add to his chances of winning here today. 2pts win Basseterre @11/2 (WillHill - BOG)
Wrote this about Basseterre for his run last time out at Newmarket. The colt was a shade disappointing that day finishing 5th, 5 lengths off the winner. Whether the extra furlong didn't suit as I expcted it would or possibly he was just in need of the run are the two possible answers to the disappointing run but the fact he's dropped back down to a mile today and is now running over a course and distance he has previously won over are both positives and he also takes a drop in class so I am expecting a big run today despite the trainer not being in quite the same form as of late which is my only concern to another bad run. The godolphin horse is interesting as he takes a big drop in handicap mark for his reappearance so could be dangerous. 2pt win Basseterre @ 7/2 (Bet365 - BOG) 16:40 Haydock I feel Jeremy Noseda's Homage looks the type to improve as a 3 year old and believe the handicapper may have just let this horse in a bit leniently off an opening mark of 78. He only had 3 runs as a 2 year old, his first two efforts ended in 3rd and 2nd finishes in decent maiden races at Newmarket and Newbury respectively. Both those runs were sound efforts and he finally went in on his 3rd race when making the shift over to the all weather for the first time. He was dropped in grade for that race and although he did only win the race by half a length, he did it in good fashion. The trainer has a 24% strike rate with his 3 year olds this season and he could possibly have another 3 year old winner with this one here today. 2pt win Homage @ 4/1 (Bet Victor - BOG)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 14:35 Goodwood Plenty horses in with chances in this class 4 handicap over 7 furlongs and despite the fact I think it's interesting that Richard Hughes opts to go for Hughie Morrison's lightly raced Flexible Flyer instead of Richard Hannon's Magic City for whom he is stable jockey for, I myself am giving Hannon's 4 year old a chance in this race. He's clearly not one of the superstars we normally see from his yard and although he did seem to be highly regarded as a 2 year old when winning a maiden at Newbury in great fashion before competing at listed level and the yearling stakes at York later on in the year, he hasn't exactly set the world alight and has yet to get his head in front again since his debut back in 2011. He has competed in handicaps off markso] of 82-88 with his best effort coming at Doncaster as a 2 year old when finishing 3/12 off a mark of 88. He gets in off a mark of 80 today which is his lowest handicap mark to date and add to that, William Twiston-Davies takes off a further 5lbs which will certainly help his chances here today. His best efforts have been in good to firm ground which is the expected ground here today, his form in said ground is 1225 so he clearly needs the ground to be on the fast side. He had a run at Leicester last month and although it wasn't a run to shout about it was in good to soft ground and he should strip fitter for that run and hopefully he will come on from that today. He has only attempted this trip of 7 furlongs three times with form of 306 (the 3rd came in GF ground). I don't particularly think this a very strong race and with 4 places on offer I feel my selection has decent each way claims providing the ground stays in his favour. 0.5pts E/W Magic City @ 16/1 (Stan James - BOG, 1/4 odds, 1,2,3,4)

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013

14:35 Goodwood Plenty horses in with chances in this class 4 handicap over 7 furlongs and despite the fact I think it's interesting that Richard Hughes opts to go for Hughie Morrison's lightly raced Flexible Flyer instead of Richard Hannon's Magic City for whom he is stable jockey for, I myself am giving Hannon's 4 year old a chance in this race. Delighted with this one, was long awaiting my first double priced winner since coming back, this could possibly be the only one I have tipped up at double figures in fact, will have to check back on that one :nana

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 Update: Hoku + 0.60 Secret Look + 2.50 Semeen + 8.00 Body and Soul (-4.00) Plutocracy + 2.73 Villoresi (-2.00) Kingscroft + 0.88 The Confessor (-3.00) Basseterre (-2.00) Homage + 9.00 Magic City + 10.00 Bets - 32 Won - 9 Placed - 4 Lost - 19 Pts Staked - 90.00 Pts Returned - 137.24 Profit - 47.24 Really, really pleased with how this is going, almost doubled in profit since the last update 8 days ago and almost at the 50pt profit mark which would be absolutely fantastic. I'm even surprising myself a little bit to be honest, I was normally always a profitable punter when doing threads on here back in the day but never as good as this. Just hope I can keep this up and hopefully hit my tenth winner over the weekend at some point.

Re: Simmy's flat/jumps thread 2013 17:30 Haydock Redvers has done most of his winning at 6 furlongs (3/4 wins) but he has produced some great efforts over today's trip of 7 furlongs having won over the trip once and placed over the trip on several occasions. His last win came at Ascot last year in a ladies race which was his first and only win over the 7 furlongs, a race which I wouldn't look into the formline at all being honest but it shows he can handle the trip. He has also posted several other good runs over this trip including on his reappearance at Ascot just two weeks ago in the Victoria Cup where he finished a very creditable 4/26 off a mark of 89 which he will run off of again today. He did make some late headway that day and I believe that run will have blown away any cobwebs and he will come on from that run today. He has yet to win first time out in any season so that's another reason why I feel he may have just needed that run last time out. He has had the one previous run over course and distance where he finished 5/12 off a mark of 86 last year. The good to firm ground won't trouble him having won on firm and good to firm ground previously. 1pt win Redvers @ 11/2 (Bet Victor - BOG)
