Re: Serie A > 27th - 29th April Does anyone know why the draw is priced so low in the Atalanta-Bologna match? My online books (5dimes & Bovada) have it at 2.56 and 2.60 respectively. Is there some team news that I am unaware of to make the books assign almost 40% chance to the draw here? Just to add, whenever I see draws priced like this I am always tempted to take them because (A) it seems like the books may be signaling something and (B) because odds of 2.6 are high enough to put a sum on and get a decent return. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Re: Serie A > 27th - 29th April This can be just irrelevant detail, but let's look at h2h games between these two lately... 11/12 Atalanta 3:3 Bologna 09/10 Atalanta 1:1 Bologna 08/09 Atalanta 3:3 Bologna 04/05 Atalanta 3:3 Bologna 02/03 Atalanta 4:1 Bologna 01/02 Atalanta 1:4 Bologna So we have a equal score between them in the last several seasons in Serie A and taking into consideration that Bologna has won three points last autumn we should expect a victory for Atlaanta (only in this unreliable scenario). Actually I missed one season when these two teams have played in Serie B... 05/06 Atalanta 4:1 Bologna 12/13 Atalanta 0:3 Bologna ...according to this view, it is obvious that there will be draw on Saturday. :\ I'm pretty stoned, so apologies if this post makes no sense :)

Re: Serie A > 27th - 29th April Cagliari - Udinese Udinese to win @ 11/10 the game is played at neutral venue and Udinese are in a really good form lately winning last 3, last game was against Lazio. They have real chance of qualifying to Europa League and are unbeaten in last 16 games at home showing their strong defense and attack when Di Natale is playing especially. Cagliari are the team in the middle of the table that has conceded the most goals and their defense is ranked 18th, while Udinese's defense is 4th in Serie A.

Re: Serie A > 27th - 29th April I know Inter's form has been terrible and they have more injured players than healthy, but do people here agree with the odds for them? My feeling is that even this depleted Inter has far more quality than bottom-dweller Palermo and hence, 0AH @ 2.3 or even +1/2 @ 1.7 might represent value. Yes, Palermo is in a fight not be relegated and should have plenty of motivation, but they have only won 5 games all year (tho, 4 were at home). In terms of Inter's motivation, a European spot is still a very achievable possibility. Just my 2 cents...

Re: Serie A > 27th - 29th April i think inter are terrible defensivly. if the tempo of the game is slow they tend to cope better but palermo have played quite speedy attacking games recently which i think will cause inter players head spinning. they always look like conceeding even from half chances.

It all makes sense now. :cigar Otherwise, I thought Inter has no great chances for a good result in Sicily. They undeservedly won against Parma in the last round, and they had three straight defeats before. After all, they will again be without a lot of players (Obi, Mudingayi, Milito, Castellazzi, Nagatomo, Stanković, Palacio, Cassano, Mbaye, Gargano, Cambiasso, Guarin, Samuel) of whom seven are regulars. On the other side, coach Guiseppe Sannino returned to the club which is increased trust among players lately. The hosts will also be fired up for Miccoli return from suspension, so it seems to me that odds are correctly placed.

Re: Serie A > 27th - 29th April

A much better choice would be defeat by a couple of goals for other Sicilians in Milan in the evening.;)
Milan vs Catania Milan are fighting for third place and the place in the Champions League with Fiorentina, so I expect them to be highly motivated at San Siro where have never lost a league match against Catania. Goalkeeper Abbiati, defender Zapata and midfielder Ambrosini are out, but Massimiliano Allegri has a very experienced substitutes for them (Amelia, Bonera and Flamini). A big boost will be the return of Balotelli who is going with El Shaarawy and Boateng to be the biggest threat for the visitors. Away side is five points away from European League place, and they're one of the worst teams on the road in the league. Also, their morale and confidence can't be high after conceding a goal in the 95th minute in the big derby versus Palermo in the last round. Goalkeeper Andujar, who has played all games this season, is suspended - as well as regular defenders Spolli and Bellusci. Another starting defender Alvarez is injured, and midfielder Izco is in doubt. I can see a convincing win for the Rossoneri and have attractive odds at local bookie (kladionica soccer) @1.98, otherwise... Milan (-1) EH or (-1,5) AH @1.90 Pinnacle or Paddy Power low stake

Re: Serie A > 27th - 29th April Agree with Milan bets. But hcp's are quite big , so I will go with Milan HT -0.5 as I am expecting an aggressive Milan from the first minute, since Fiorentina took the third spot today. As McNasara mentioned Catania have very important absentees on defense and missing in-form gk Andujar. Even with the presence of the mentioned players, Catania have been showing bad displays when they play away from home. Milan should be able to take the lead at the first half. medium-high stakes. :hope

Re: Serie A > 27th - 29th April AC Milan host Catania this evening with an automatic Champions League spot in the mix after Fiorentina won 3-0 earlier today to leapfrog Milan into third place. Mario Ballotelli is back for Milan this evening after a two match suspension. Kevin-Prince Boateng and Matthieu Flamini are both available after missing last weeks match against Juventus however club captain Massimo Ambrosini will miss out due to injury however he has played less than half of the match time this season and will not be a major loss as Catania will sit back and try to contain Milan. Daniele Bonera is expected to take the place of the suspended Cristian Zapata to partner Philippe Mexes at centre-back. Catania have something of a crisis in defence as they played a Sicilian derby last weekend in while a mass brawl resulted in goalkeeper Mariano Andujar being suspended after his sending off in the final minute of the 1-1 draw with Palermo, while defenders Giuseppe Bellusci and Nicolas Spolli are missing after both picked up yellow cards that triggered bans in the tie. Last year's corresponding fixture saw Milan run out comfortable winners, cruising to a 4-0 victory at San Siro. Catania haven't beaten Milan in the league since they regained promotion to Serie A in 2006. Italian Serie A - AC Milan v Catania - AC Milan -1 'European Handicap' - 1.83 (Paddy Power) Betting Log
