Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd

3.15 Newbury: Ladbrokes Supporting Greatwood Handicap Hurdle (Class 3) (2m110y) Plenty of horses coming back into action now that the heavy ground has gone and its difficult to know how their form stands up, at least half a dozen of them have been hanging around for the better ground or have been running on unsuitable going. I’ve narrowed it down to Princely Player, Meganisi and Tango De Juilley and a tentative vote goes to the Hobbs horse who has dropped down to a fair mark. Meganisi takes a drop in class and has been on the go recently so fitness wont be an issue and has a handy 7lbs claimer on top today and is a value price in an open race. Selections: 1pt Princely Player 14/1

>William Hill 1pt Meganisi 12/1 Bet365

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 2.55 Doncaster Ikorodu Road 2pt win @ 10/1 Bet365 I like the chances here of last years winner Ikorodu Road who comes into this race on the back of a good effort after at Leicester on unflavoured heavy ground. This horse much prefers racing on a sound surface so he actually did well to finish 3rd at Leicester on his first encounter of heavy ground. Connections have kept him away from heavy ground throughout his career so I think this was more of a case of getting a run into him to set him up for a defence of this race. He won this race last year off a mark of 130 so he certainly has it all to do off an 8lb higher mark tomorrow but I think his run 2 outings ago at Doncaster proved he can remain competitive off his new mark. In that race at Donny he looked to be outpaced coming to 2 out but stayed on well again near the finish to be beaten just over a length into 5th. The extra 2f here will be in his favour and he can turn the form around with those that finished ahead of him in that race. A return to this track is also a plus as he has ran very well on each of the 3 occasions he has ran here. He finished a head 2nd to Harry the Viking over CD back in 2011 before going on to win this race last year beating Junior in the process. His only other run at the track was a close up 5th 2 runs ago. The ground has also come right for him, which is another positive and I would be disappointed if he couldn’t get involved at the business end. Join Together has to be respected but they may have left a little to work on with him, as his main target is the National. Calgary Bay is a classy horse but has to prove his wellbeing. I wouldn’t be surprised to see one of the Reveley horses win this but I think the main danger to my selection could be Mr Moonshine who chased home Cape Tribulation last time out. It looks a very open race but I am happy to side with last year’s winner who should give us a good run for our money.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 2:20 Doncaster – TRM Handicap Chase TOUBAB looked progressive last season and was running a big race in the Grand Annual only to be brought down four out, when still travelling well. He ran off a rating of 143 that day and comes here off 140, despite having subsequently run well behind Sprinter Scare off level weights. Ground conditions have not been in his favour on his two starts this season, but he has his ground for this and on a track that Paul Nicholls does so well on with his chasers (36% strike rate over the last five years), he is fancied to win. 2:55 Doncaster – William Hill Grimthorpe Chase JOIN TOGETHER was one of the top novice chasers of last season and this trip of three miles two furlongs looks ideal for him. He is a class act on his day and now that the Grand National weights have come out, he has been allowed to race again and show that he is still on a fair mark. Last time out he stayed on strongly over the National fences to finish second to Hello Bud and last season he gave weight and easily beat Champion Court at Cheltenham, which is top form. The Nicholls team remains in good form and although he is close to the top of the weights, he has a touch of class and on good ground, can outclass the opposition. 3:30 Doncaster – William Hill – Download The App Handicap Hurdle This step up in trip to three miles should really suit AAIM TO PROSPER who rates a confident selection. Rated 107 on the flat, he has made a fair start over hurdles, finishing second over an inadequate trip on his debut, before running well behind two very promising novices at Doncaster, in Zuider Zee and Minella Forfitness (now rated 135). On his final start he also ran well to finish second at Ascot and with a rating of just 124 for his handicap debut, I can fully understand why connections have decided to go the handicap route, rather than try to win a novice hurdle. Ground conditions are very similar to last time at Doncaster and with the extra distance of this race likely to play to his strengths, I am very confident that he will run very well. 3:50 Newbury –Greatwood Gold Cup With seven of the ten horses to win this race having finished in the first four on their most recent outing, it seems that horses in form tend to go well here. This is something of a setback for six of this year’s field with Ballabriggs, Pacha Du Polder, The Knoxs, Pepite Rose, Mahogany Blaze and Bahrain Storm all needing to improve on recent performances in order to go close here. It is also interesting to note that the trio of Big Fella Thanks, Midnight Sail and Saved By John will be bidding to emulate Isio, who remains the only horse to have won here having also been victorious on their latest visit to the racecourse. Without doubt the strongest trend associated with the Greatwood Gold Cup is the fact that all of its winners had fallen or unseated no more than twice during their careers over obstacles. This 2m 4f contest represents a major test of a horse’s ability to jump well and at speed so it is little surprise to know that those with question marks surrounding their jumping have tended to struggle here in the past. Only three of this year’s field miss the cut at this stage with Big Fella Thanks, The Knoxs and Mahogany Blaze all exceeding the quota for costly errors and given the strength of the trend, I am happy to rule these three out of contention at this stage. Another notable statistic is that of the ten horses to have won this race, seven of them had an official rating of 135 or higher. The line-up for the Grade 3 this year includes five horses who fail to meet this standard with Midnight Sail, Mr Gardner, Saved By John, Bahrain Storm and Garynella all needing to run above their handicap marks to go close here. There is reason for optimism for these select few by looking to the likes of New Little Bric who won here off 133 in 2009 and the 2011 victor Fine Parchment who was rated only 130. The stable of Paul Nicholls has long been a production line for winners of big races but there will not be many races in which the master of Ditcheat has a better record than this one. In fact he has already managed to saddle five winners since the race was first run in 2004, including four of the last five winners. This year he has two representatives in the form of the ten-year-old The Knoxs and the six-year-old Pacha Du Polder. This record is certainly worth keeping in mind when narrowing down the shortlist given that Nicholls seems to know the sort of horse that can go well here. In terms of age the most successful group to follow here are the eight–year-olds who are responsible for five winners. Saved By John will be flying the flag for that generation this year and connections will be hoping that he can add to their tally on Saturday. At the older end of the age spectrum there would have to be concerns for supporters of Ballabriggs as at the age of twelve, he would be a year older than Horus who dead-heated for first in 2006. The final factor worthy of mention is that seven of the ten winners of this race have come from the first five in the betting. However it would be wrong to assume that favourites do well here with only three winning favourites during the race’s short history. The market is open to change between now and the off-time so it is difficult to make a firm judgment, but it should still be factored in to any final decisions regarding potential contenders. Shortlist SAVED BY JOHN Pacha Du Polder Tony Star Conclusion Considering the record that Paul Nicholls has in the race it seemed that one of his representatives this year had to make the shortlist. I went for Pacha Du Polder on the basis that he has done very little wrong in his relatively short career to date. He was a Grade 2 winning chaser as a novice over two and a half miles and this race looks likely to suit the six-year-old. He needs to bounce back after being pulled up last time but it was desperate ground that day at Cheltenham and he looks likely to improve for better ground at the weekend. He is still entitled to be improving and looks set for a big showing on Saturday. Tony Star has made an encouraging start to his chasing career with a creditable effort in Grade 2 company and a three-length defeat to Tetlami either side of an out of sorts performance in which he fell. This has resulted in Philip Hobbs’ charge achieving a lofty handicap mark of 138 despite still learning at this chasing game. It looks as though there is more to come from the six-year-old and given that he tended to run well in large fields over hurdles, there is reason to be optimistic of his chances here. He does need to improve to beat some of his rivals here but he fits many of the criteria needed to do well and he could go very close. The marginal preference is for the sole eight-year-old in the field, the Tim Vaughan-trained SAVED BY JOHN. He arrives here on the back of a win having got up close home to win over 2m at Wincanton and the extra four furlongs should be no problem as he won over the same distance on his chasing debut. In terms of his jumping, he has made very few errors so far and will need to continue that level of performance to contend here. He looks to be heading the right way and as long as he copes well with this higher level of competition, he looks likely to be involved at the business end of the race.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 2:00 Navan COURAGE was fairly useful on the flat for Sir Michael Stout and produced a Good effort first time up over timber. very keen early on he did finish well and not knocked about.plenty of improvement should be expected especially now on better ground. courage wears a hood also after hanging to his left last time and this should also help. Main danger Call Me Bubbles does not look like a natural and although from a top yard this horse could give some value towards courage. Stood at 2nd fav tonight in tissue at 5/2, look to get on early as his betting could easily flip flop.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 2:05 Newbury: Bygones Sovereign 1pt win 8/1 Coral Bygones Sovereign looks very interesting on several counts for David Pipe. This is his handicap debut and he does not look over taxed off a mark of 115. He has the cheek pieces on today too. However the two key aspects could be the step up in distance combined with a better surface. By Old Vic the three miles plus looks spot on. He did run out of puff last time in February at Ffos Las, yet that could be more to do with the heavy going and /or the lack of a run since November. Bygones Sovereign ran well for a long way before fitness / going took its toll. Bygones Sovereign put up some decent efforts as a novice particularly when he split Hinton Indiana and Medinas at Leicester. Both of those are now rated a fair bit higher than Bygones Sovereign whose career could take off now he goes handicapping. 2:40 Newbury: Hey Big Spender 1pt win 9/1 Bet365 Hey Big Spender ran his best race for a while last time against Molotof and that form held up when Molotof went on to run second in the Pendil Novices Grade 2. Hey Bid spender has been dropping down the weights and the tongue tie seemed to help last time. Colin Tizzard has his string in decent form and this former course winner has no youngsters in opposition today and could go well. 2:55 Doncaster: Quentin Collonges 1pt win 12/1 Bet365 & Beneficial Reform 1pt win 22/1 William Hill Quentin Collonges has his ideal conditions today on a track where he has already won twice before once as a hurdler and once over the larger obstacles. Henry Daly is going well at the moment and does pretty well with his chasers here. He puts a tongue tie on his charge for the first time today. Beneficial Reform like Quentin Collonges is also out of the handicap however James Banks offsets most of that. Beneficial Reform may merit a small interest because even with that disadvantage, he too likes Doncaster and a sound surface. Connections must feel its worth a go with a decent prize on offer. 3:30 Doncaster: Eagle Rock 1pt win 16/1 Ladbrokes & Cockney Trucker 1pt win 20/1 Paddy Power Course winner Eagle Rock catches the eye here. He has run well on a sound surface before and even finished a respectable fourth in a Grade One. A mark of 130 does not look too daunting and while his last effort in October did not give a lot of encouragement, that was on the soft. Eagle Rock could come back here refreshed and ready to go. As a stayer on the flat he really should be effective at this trip. Cockney Trucker is getting on a bit now, however he has been slipping down the weights and he might just be worth chancing off 130. He ran pretty well at Cheltenham in December and A P McCoy takes over in the saddle for the first time today. 3:50 Newbury: Saved By John 1pt win 14/1 Stan James Saved By John looks a horse on the up and although he has been winning on heavy there is every chance he could improve for better ground. He could also come on for this return to two miles four and Tim Vaughan is in decent nick too. If Saved By John gets a lead and in to a rhythm, he may take some catching.

3.30 Doncaster: William Hill Handicap Hurdle (Class 2) (3m110y) A really good renewal of this three mile hurdle with two or three likeable types in opposition. Aaim To Prosper and Lord Wishes are the handicap debutants and both can be fancied. The Nicholls horse really should be winning off a mark of 124 but also tries the trip for the first time, he could be thrown in but looks plenty short enough to me. Lord Wishes is still improving at the age of six and will like this good ground. Cue to Cue is also feared for the Reveley’s who do so well here at Donny while at a bigger price Eagle Rock can get involved on his novice form. Selections: 2pts Lord Wishes 6/1

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 2.05 Newbury - 2pts win Off The Ground @ 10/1 (Bet365) Was a horse I quite liked last time out over fences at Doncaster but never jumped well in rear and considering his lack of fluency he did quite well to finish 6th of 14 in the end - plugging on. Looks much more suited to hurdles based on his chase runs to date so this is very interesting as he clearly has an engine. His hurdles form is good (presumably amiss when no-showing on final start of last season) and I don't think this trip will be an issue. He's quite stoutly-bred and he tends to finish his races off well. I think he'll be fine and the jockey booking of Barry Geraghty is very interesting. The Lavelle yard aren't flying but this one looks one to keep on the right side of I fancy he's back over the smaller obstacles and can go well. 3.50 Newbury - 1pt win Mr Gardner @ 14/1 (Hills) Posted this last time out:

2.40 Wincanton - 1pt win Mr Gardner @ 10/1 (Hills) Polly Gundry's horse would have been interesting to me regardless of a market move but all of a sudden has become an attractive betting prospect given the positive signals we have seen early on. He has left Nicky Henderson since running in the Jewson in 2011 and has been off since but both of his wins have come fresh including a near two-month absence. I fancied him for the Jewson after a good 3rd to Medermit and Captain Chris at Sandown but clearly something was amiss as he never went with any fluency and subsequently hasn't been seen since. He's got plenty of ability though so if he has retained it all then he's got a good chance off this mark. He would have gone close at Sandown but for a stumble at the 2nd last and he's a soft ground winner. This heavy is a slight concern because you never know but he's a good jumper, enjoys going right-handed and Tom O'Brien takes the ride. Could well go off a fair bit shorter than this based on the early support and I hope the market has this one correct.
Shaped really well here considering O'Brien gave him a very generous ride to say the least. Travelled and jumped well enough considering his absence but showed he retained plenty of ability. Well-treated on old form and finished a solid 4th at Wincanton. Would have been 3rd if O'Brien really asked him I fancy as he never got after him really. Suggested he was saving him for a bigger prize and with natural improvement on the cards from a fitness perspective I think he's got a big chance here with conditions to suit.

3.50 Newbury: Stan James Greatwood Gold Cup (H’Cap Chase) (Grade 3) (2m4f) A tricky race to weigh up with quite a few exposed sorts lining up and not many secrets lurking in the handicap. One that may have a few pounds in hand is Garynella from the Pipe yard who are going so well at the moment. He was well backed against Shooters Wood last time out but now steps up in trip and gets better ground and he could be another useful ex-French recruit. An each way alternative would be Mr Gardner who ran with promise on his comeback run last time and should be able to win off 133. Pepite Rose is worth keeping an eye on for the future. Selections: 3pts Garynella 7/2

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 14.55 Doncaster: Ikorodu Road, 10/1 Boylesports, win Ikorodu Road won this race last year off a seven pound lower mark. He has run well from his current mark a couple of times. His last run could be ignored as he didn't really like the heavy ground but he still managed to finish third and was ahead of two nto winners. Before that he finished a length behind Court in Motion, with Night In Milan and Corkage also ahead of him. He is better off at the weights with the first two and that should be enough to reverse form with them. He will love the good ground today and will relish the step up in trip as he has won over today's distance twice in the past and that should be enough to reverse form with Corkage and confirm form with the couple that finished behind him that day. 15.30 Doncaster: Cue To Cue, 7/1 Stan James, win Cue To Cue has run well in both her races so far this season. She ran the 165-rated Peddlers Cross close lto when she was beaten less then 2L. She looked to be struggling approaching 4 out as she started to get detached but she picked up well and ran on to chase PC home. That run would suggest today's step up in trip will suit as she attempts three miles for the first time. She won impressively on her first start of the season when she came late and was full of running after pinging the last two to win by 6L. Aaim To Prosper is the obvious danger and he could be very well treated on his handicap debut but he hasn't done much over hurdles so far and is worth taking on with the progressive Cue To Cue. Trainer Keith Revely is in cracking form with 4 winners from 11 runners in the last two weeks. He also has a decent record at Doncaster and has won this race twice in the last five runnings. His son James is in the saddle, as he has been for all of CTC races. 15.15 Newbury: Tango De Juilly, 7/1 Bet365, win Tango De Juilly was a bit disappointing lto when he finished eight of thirteen, 21L behind the winner. That was his first run of the season though and he should come on a lot for that run. He also pulled hard in that race and if his jockey can get him to settle today I think he has a big chance to get his first win on British soil. He has some good form from last season, including a 1½L second to Vendor, who finished third in the Fred Winter in his next run, and he ran in a grade 2 where he finished fourth, 11½L behind Grumeti. Today's ground should suit. Trainer Venetia Williams is in decent form with 10 winners from 48 runners over the last two weeks. Aidan Coleman is in the saddle.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 2.40 Newbury - 1pt win Posh Bird @ 14/1 (Hills) I probably wouldn't be drawn to this bet had I not have big reservations over a lot of the market leaders. Here's what I posted about this horse last time:

2.15 Catterick - 1pt win Posh Bird @ 14/1 (Bet365) When you see that this mare has a strike rate of 2-33 and is 18lbs higher than her only handicap win, she doesn't seem an attractive betting prospect. However, she does have plenty in her favour and it's a sure fire positive that the handicap she won was this contest last year. Okay, so she's a fair bit higher in the weights now but was 2nd off 112 and 118 in good races subsequently (including the Eider when 11l clear of the third off 3lbs lower than today). The Midlands National was a race too far after that but signed off last season with an unlucky 3rd at Kelso over an insufficient 3 miles. She was hampered quite crucially and was ultimately on the back foot from there on in but kept going really well under pressure and closed to within 4l at the line (off this mark). That came over 3 miles but looks much better with her stamina stretched out and shaped well on her seasonal reappearance at Musselburgh last time out - again over three. She was held-up as per usual but got outpaced prior to staying on in the latter stages without Henry Brooke reaching for the stick. It was a pretty useful race really and was always going to be tough given the trip was sharp and she would have needed the run. Shaped as if she'd come on for it and conditions obviously suit today. Brian Hughes is back on board today (finished 2nd twice from three starts on the mare - the other was a decent 4th on a seasonal reappearance). I think it would be foolish to write her off, for all on first looks she appears handicapped to the hilt. I'm pretty confident she'll run a good race and I'll just have to hope it'll be good enough to see her retain her crown.
She disappointed me on this occasion as she was never sighted from the rear but it was a race which strongly favoured those prominent throughout and therefore I think she can be forgiven a little bit - especially as she runs off a featherweight today in a race where I don't like those near the top of the weights. Although she seems fairly versatile with regards to the ground I think she's probably better on a sounder surface which she gets today so that's another positive and there have been some nibbles for her this morning. Cheekpieces return and her wins have come when carrying low weights such as today. At the prices I'm much happier siding with this one and am hoping she can bounce back with the handicapper dropping her 4lbs from her last run. 3.15 Newbury - 2pts win Turn Over Sivola @ 15/2 (VC) Posted this last time:
3.50 Kempton - 2pts win Turn Over Sivola @ 13/2 (Hills) You have to respect Forgotten Voice but this will be more testing than small, novice hurdles on good ground and it's plausible if he fails to settle, he will run out of gas late on. Alan King's runner looks a rock solid alternative and I think he's primed to run a cracker here. He was fairly useful in bumpers and his record of 1219 since going over hurdles is strong. The 2nd came to a nice type off the back of a break and the 9th last time was much better than the bare form. He was in 6th going up the hill but faded late on. He seems off a fair mark on his novice exploits and this track should suit. He's a strong-traveller and went as well as most at Cheltenham last time but the combination of the stiff track and heavy ground just found him out. The better ground here and sharper track will play to his strengths - emphasised by the fact he traded at 4, 1.01, 1.62, 2.9 and 2.69 in five of his six career defeats. Will travel around here no problem and should find more when asked than he did last time. The winner made up a large amount of the losing deficit last time as well which exaggerated his performance and I reckon this one will take the beating today.
I don't think things really went his way here either for all he finished 3rd (would have been 4th had Starluck not fallen at last). Firstly the ground was still soft and I get the feeling that today's genuinely decent ground will be a lot better for him. It was a bit of a stop-start affair at Kempton where he took a bit of a hold and then when they sprinted for home he was bogged down in the ground I reckon. A more even gallop will suit and I'm happier about him getting home on this ground. Should come into it travelling well which is a bonus if they've gone hard up front and I think good ground will be the making of him. He travels like a good horse and one of these days it'll all come together for him. The first three in the betting don't jump out at me (fav off track for a few months, one very keen last time and the other underpriced for being with John Ferguson in my eyes - hasn't seen his races out well enough for me since going hurdling). Based on that I think 15/2 is a sound price for Alan King's runner and fingers crossed everything will fall into place.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 2.20 Doncaster TOUBAB can show its class here dropped a few pounds now also after 2 weaker efforts this season on unsuitable ground, Nicholls will want to get into the festival races with a win and this one is entered in the Grand Annual off 10st 4lb so may need a penalty to get in. Not a large price today but they all count. 2.55 Doncaster I am a big fan of BILLIE MAGERN but its form on flat courses isnt ideal and i am hoping to back it at Cheltenham if its gets in. 3m 2f looks too far for this one whose best form is around the 22f-24f mark. Has dropped alot in the weights and will love the faster ground. 7lb better off today than last win. Whatever it does today, i think NTD will be looking at Cheltenham pay day rather than this (entered in JLT and Kim Muir chases). My money today though is on QUENTIN COLLONGES who is also now off a very attractive mark and has won round here twice. Has well been backed so money is down on this one for a few today and i note that the winner of this race is normally off a low weight. 3.30 Doncaster AAM TO PROSPER,runs off a hurdles mark of 124 which for a Cesarewitch winner on the flat looks a very interesting racing mark today. Nicholls used to pick up these type of races with ease and this looks another one of those who looks thrown in. Ran last week and beaten by a decent horse at Ascot, can recoup today. Also can turn up in one of the staying novices races at Cheltenham and even has an entry in the World Hurdle. Will appreciate the step up to 3m today.

He seems in fair form lately and form with Drumshambo has worked out well. The Kelso race sees one of my favourite horses in training Bold Sir Brian tackling Harry Topper and another old favourite of mine Ballabriggs but I feel at the prices Garleton can be taken each way and might lead from the front. The Grimthorpe looks to be a really good race and I have opted for Mr Moonshine and Court By Surprise but feel Ikorodu Road and Mr Moss may be the main dangers today. The good ground will see plenty of improvement from plenty of horses and it's a hard race to predict but Sue Smith does well at local tracks and Court By Surprise won here in December. Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 2.05 NEWBURY Interesting step up in trip for Rebecca Curtis' THE ROMFORD PELE but i still think this one is better over shorter but i will be interested how it runs here. For me its about distance winners over this trip especially as some of these are only 1st season hurdlers. IRON CHANCELLOR is interesting off such a low weight now having been chasing. WATER GARDEN has been running well in decent hurdles handicaps and i was impressed last time out, noted claimer takes 7lb off today which will help. 3.50 NEWBURY THE KNOXS took a shocking fall at Newbury in November when i was there. The tents went up and about 15 mins later the horse got up to the cheers of the sparse crowd who waited to see what happened. It will be bittersweet for connections today to make a winning comeback as it possibly might have won that day and jumped well to that point. Back on this track today in a race Nicholls has won twice in 3 years.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd *Mr Moonshine > Doncaster 2:55 > WIN @ 6/1 Bet365 BOG* Beat 11 lengths by Cape Tribulation last time out at Wetherby in a Grade 3. Since then, Cape Tribulation has won a Grade 2, beating Imperial Commander, miles clear of the rest, and has a live chance in the Gold Cup this year, the Malcolm Jefferson horse has really improved. So I do think the form is pretty decent and a good yardstick. Mr Moonshine is down a couple of grades today into Class 2 handicap company, and i do feel that run last time out is probably the best form in the book coming into this race. He has run over this 3m 2f trip only once before, but he won that time, which was at Huntingdon, beating Cross Kennon by 4 lengths in a decent race. Everything points to a big run.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 14.05 Newbury: Water Garden, 7/1 Bet365, win Water Garden ran well lto in his first start since last June. He finished sixth of eighteen over c&d in a similar strength race to this. He should come on for that run and he has been dropped three pounds by the handicapper. Today's ground will suit and he should go close today. Trainer David Pipe is in good form and he has a decent record at Newbury. Jockey Tom Bellamy is good value for his seven pound claim.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd Not the biggest of horses but showed a nice attitude last time out at Lingfield Pk, R.Johnson took the ride that day but cant ride in this race ''Cond & Amat'' Its a tricky looking little bumper but the showing price of around 10/1 looks very acceptable, the 5yr old chestnut went really well for a long way at Lingfield and its surely only a matter of time before win No-1 goes onto his yard stable door. Trainer Mr N.Chance only sends out this one runner, well worth an E/W Punt. 4:40 Doncaster - Exotic Friend. E/W Bet.

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd 405 Doncaster @3.55 Captain kelly is hopefully finding his feet after haveing a few long lay offs. Anyway returned on the sand at Kempton in a bumper and won. We must of come out of that well as come here quite quickly looking to break our hurdle duck. My pick has ran with credit previously in a class 3 at Fakenham. Breeding suggests the track should suit. We wouldn't want to much firm in the going either. Wont be going mad on a tough saturday so just the 1/2 pt win here 1pt place @1.43 3 places still on the exchange

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd

2.20 Doncaster TOUBAB can show its class here dropped a few pounds now also after 2 weaker efforts this season on unsuitable ground, Nicholls will want to get into the festival races with a win and this one is entered in the Grand Annual off 10st 4lb so may need a penalty to get in.
BOOM - about time!!! 3 winners

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd Well done Rob, not sure BM will get in at Cheltenham, needed to get a penalty today i reckon. 129 is a bit low but you never know. Didnt think he stayed this far but actually ran on quite well at the end. Profit in the end with Meganisi but disappointed on the whole although its a challenge with the change in ground just now! Unlucky Phil with Garleton, i know the top two under performed but still thought he had it on the run in, nice shout. Good effort from Beaker with a couple of winners plus having Pacha Du Polder on his shortlist and Steve with Quentin Collonges who ran a blinder. Decent day guys:clap

Re: Jump Racing ~ Saturday March 2nd
