Jump Racing ~ Sunday 30th December

2.20 Taunton: Totepool.com Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle (Listed) (2m1f) Interesting contest and the Henderson mare Ma Filleule will be a warm order here and on form looks pretty solid. At the prices I’m not sure I want to be wading in at a short price in these conditions and the opposition are pretty useful and the value lies elsewhere. I do like Mischievous Milly, she was very impressive on her debut win and although she didn’t beat much she looks to have plenty of scope and could upset a few here at a fair price. Call Me A Star is very highly regarded but hasn’t clicked yet over hurdles and the fitting of a hood may bring out a different showing here and is worth saving on. Selections: 2pts Mischievous Milly 7/1 Bet365 1pt Call Me A Star 4/1 Paddy Power Full Preview; http://www.punterslounge.com/taunton-betting-mischievious-milly-can-spring-a-shock-in-listed-race-at-taunton

Re: Jump Racing ~ Sunday 30th December Taunton 1.10 - Hired Hand 20/1 Bet365 & Tidal Way 9/2 Bet365 This an interesting little race and a few have made it onto my shortlist. Hired Hand is potentially a live runner at a big price based on some of his form over in Ireland. There are only a few scraps to go on but he didnt perform badly on his last two maiden hurdle starts on ground that will be similar tomorrow. He was pulled up last time out at Kempton on his first run for a year but if he has come on for that then he must have a chance. I am a little bit put off by the use of the claimer though as he hasnt even placed under rules yet. Tidal Way is another that could potentially be better than his mark. He had done well without showing too much until his run LTO beating a couple of subsequent winners and even more interesting is that the 2nd horse also beat a NTO winner so that form looks strong also. They have won better races than this so he must have a decent chance. Of the rest, Home Run is sure to be popular, but only racing 4 days ago is a big negative for me especially up in class. Posh Emily looks well handicapped base on her last two runs here last season. They have worked out well but I dont think she wants the ground this soft. Lastly Cruise In Style isnt without a chance especially with his trainer being in such good form, but I think his mark is probably high enough for the time being.
