Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern and Ryman Prem Nov 30-Dec 1 To add some more to the excellent pick Bromsgrove Green made in the midweek thread on Kendal Town, the players definitely following Lee Ashcroft to Northwich Vics are Jack Duggan, Alex Taylor, Danny Wisdom, Scott Harries, Kevin Leadbetter, Joe Bunney and Ian Kilford - all of whom started in Kendal's fine 2-1 win at Buxton last time out. The ressie boss is in charge for Saturday and the squad will mainly be reserves. 10/11 Witton looks well overpriced.

Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern and Ryman Prem Nov 30-Dec 1 Yes, looks like Kendal/Witton has gone at least for now. Bet365 were still going 10/11 until past 7, before cutting Witton to 8/11. BetVics started at 19/20 and made a slight adjustment to 9/10, but in the end they probably just followed Bet365 out of the market.

Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern and Ryman Prem Nov 30-Dec 1 its one of those where you dont know what to do for the best, keep it quiet and hope the price remains or post up and hope punters can get on quickly, the problem being that the bookies best source of info non league is the punters lounge due to the years of winning tips posted up by ships and latterly addpea and as soon as they see something they react accordingly

Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern and Ryman Prem Nov 30-Dec 1 Always a thorny problem, BG - but my policy is to get on and then get it up here. BetVics back up with 3/4 Witton. A Kendal side made up of reserves will, I'm sure, be competitive, and it has to be factored in that Witton themselves are cutting their cloth, releasing Ashley Stott in recent week and defensively away they aren't the best, but as things stand the price is still on the value side of things for me.

its one of those where you dont know what to do for the best' date='keep it quiet and hope the price remains or post up and hope punters can get on quickly, the problem being that the bookies best source of info non league is the punters lounge due to the years of winning tips posted up by ships and latterly addpea and as soon as they see something they react accordingly[/quote'] You say that, but they were very slow on the Kettering situation a few weeks ago, although I suspect that might have led to them being more cautious this time around.

Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern and Ryman Prem Nov 30-Dec 1 The enemy on Saturday could be the weather, with wet pitches having the potential to freeze. Different models give slightly different temperatures on Saturday, the best of which look okay, the worst of which don't. In some places from the north Midlands up it might not get above freezing and the frost is heavy enough on Friday night a few games could be in trouble.

Re: England > Weekend > Northern, Southern and Ryman Prem Nov 30-Dec 1 Not lots for me this weekend, but I'm on Witton after Bromsgrove Green's posting earlier in the week about the changes at Kendal. Witton are now 1/2 at BetVics and that's where I'd put the price at the moment. There'll be an inspection tomorrow morning and the big danger is a frozen pitch. It looks 50/50 at the moment. Stafford Rangers away at Eastwood Town (Evs Corals) Stafford are not the most reliable of scorers and they've had problems nailing wins away, but there is some grounds for optimism this weekend. Eastwood have conceded over 50 goals in 19 games and they are being turned over routinely at home. Chris Shaw will surely get some improvement out of a young squad but they've a long way to go and Stafford look too experienced at this price. 11/10 was offered on Wednesday but there is still a bit of mileage in this price. Matlock Town away at Whitby Town (11/8 BetVics) Whitby's form is a touch puzzling - after a decent run they've reverted to their early season messy defending, with three straight home defeats. Craig Farrell is on board these days and the excellent Jimmy Beadle is back (although not match fit yet), though Nathan Mulligan's goals seem to have dried up and they have a few defensive issues going into this one. Matlock have really turned their season round, with players returning from injury and Massiah McDonald proving a superb signing in an excellent recent run that took in the two matches against Mansfield. There might be an after-the-party feel to their performance, but they have been pretty focused in recent weeks. I took the 6/4 but this price is still within my own. Redditch United away at Hemel Hempstead Town (5/1 BetVics/Paddy Power) A real risk but I can't get Redditch this far out. They're usually organised and have a decent defensive record, and although goals have been a huge problem they have a squad who are better equipped than a month ago, with Jake Reid on loan and leading the line well. Hemel have been excellent this season and have scored in every home game - man for man they are much better than the visitors. But defensive deficiencies remain, and the price is still a sporting one, even though it has come in from the initial 6s.
