Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet North & South Aug 27 Brackley are even money with bwin and I sont expect that price to last, Blue Square have gone 8/15. Whilst that is too short, Corby have looked dreadful so far this season and Brackley should really continue their 100% record against them.

Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet North & South Aug 27 Uxbridge v Wembley FA Cup today and to be honest i know nothing about the relative merits of the two teams. All I can offer is this season there have been a few goals in Uxbridge's games. Just think that with sporting index pricing this one up there could be money to be made. If any of you gurus can offer any thoughts on the game it would be appreciated cos to be honest you guys know a lot more than than the guys from unsporting index.

Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet North & South Aug 27 Staines Town away at Maidenhead United (BetVictor 13/8) The surprising drift has encouraged me to play. Life for a much-changed Staines under Marcus Gayle has been surprisingly stable with a draw at Bromley and a win over Dorchester. I don't expect them to be pulling up any trees any time soon, but they look a capable side with plenty of spirit. You can say the same about Maidenhead, who look a cut above the side that was bottom-feeding for most of last season. But crucially they played 90 minutes yesterday in the 1-1 at Sutton, losing the excellent Harry Pritchard to injury, while Staines spent it in the dressing room with the match against Basingstoke abandoned after seven minutes. I'd say Staines should be much closer in the betting. Bath City away at Dorchester Town (13/10 BetVictor) Another Victor drifter that I've helped myself to. Bath are top of the pile without having really hit the heights but they look a capable outfit at this level, with a strong starting line-up. Dorchester, however, don't have that luxury, and there are still some question marks about the squad. The opening-day win over Eastbourne was probably undeserved and since then they've lost to Staines and drawn at Farnborough. It's not a bad return all in all, but putting the starting line-ups yesterday alongside each other is instructive: Bath City are stronger in every department. I really woudn't go more than 11/10 Bath.

Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet North & South Aug 27 Bishops Stortford v Boston I saw the home side in action against Halifax last Saturday and it was a solid enough performance against the team I think will win the league this season. They have also lost both games since to Worcester and Brackley, but they have had chances in both games and certainly were not out played. Obviously its a small concern they have only scored once in 3 games but they arent far away from winning and this looks a decent opportunity. Whilst the home side have had tough games, Boston have played 3 of the weakest sides in the league so far this season. They beat Droylsden 1-0, stuffed a hopeless Histon 6-0 but then put in a stinker to lose 2-1 to Hinckley on Saturday. I view this as their first proper test of the season and if they play as badly as they did on Saturday they will lose again. The home side are too big at 7/4 with bwin to claim 3 points. Droylsden v Vauxhall Motors The home side look as if they might be in for a relegation battle this season given the way they have started. As stated above they lost to Boston then Guiseley beat them 7-1 before they managed to get a point against Stalybridge on Saturday. The match reports suggest it was a fairly one sided game though and they were fortunate to claim a point. Motors are not anything special but even so they have won two of their first three games including beating Altrincham on Saturday and they certainly look in better shape than their hosts. I would have them under 2/1 to win this so the 23/10 with BetVictor and Paddy Power is a must for me. Workington v Guiseley Guiseley have looked pretty good so far this season and although they have played two of the weaker sides in Histon and Droylsden they have won easily and followed that up with a comfortable success against Gainsborough at the weekend. Workington started off with two decent efforts beating Stalybridge and then making Chester work hard in a 1-0 defeat. However they really struggled against Halifax on Saturday where they were missing a few players through injury. Chances are most if not all of those will be out again on Monday and in that case they will struggle to see off a Guiseley side who look very strong yet again this term. At BetVictor's 37/40 I make them the bet of the day. I am also in agreement with Ships on Bath and will be backing them as well.

Altrincham haven't won in their last 5 home games. Chester have won their last 5 away games (including last season when they won promotion from the Northern Premier) Comments After winning the Northern Premier league last season, Chester have made a good start to their season in the Blue Square North, winning their first three games. Altrincham have struggled and lost two of their first three. Chester's away form is a lot better than Altrincham's home form. The match is also something of a derby, with a lot of Chester fans at the game. Overall, it looks as though Chester should be stronger favourites for this game than they are, and they look good value at the current odds. Best value 2-way bet on Chester: Chester Draw No Bet 1.72 Paddy Power (Stake returned if the match is a draw)

Re: England > Midweek > BlueSQ Bet North & South Aug 27 Today very interesting games: Workington - Guiseley Pick: HT/FT 1/2 26.00 WilliamHill Guiseley are by many classes any of the other competitors, except maybe Halifax and Boston Utd who can match them. They are solid team, who can make a stunning comeback even at 0-2 down in a game. Frustrated by last two season results when they were denied promotion, this team is looking hot at this moment: 3-0-0 13-1 brilliant start of season. Workington are nothing special, average team, because of the slow start Guiseley tendency, I reccomend to take here the following bet: Half Time/Full Time 1/2 at gret value because odds on away win are looking miserable. Gainsborough Trinity - Harrogate Town Pick: HT/FT 2/1 28.00 WilliamHill Harrogate no doubt are solid team, they have a great record vs hosts, winning last 5. Overall they had weak opponents so far, while Gains has no win but played against much stronger teams. I believe Harrogate are goind to lead after break, but hosts who finished in top 8 previous season are going to destroy'em after break, winning 3:2 this match. Odds evens for straight win, are really worth to take. Other games I like are: Welling Utd at evens over Sutton + Alfreton win 1.85 over rockie Nuneaton (this beeing one of the best value bets 1x2 today). Good Luck to us! :notworthy

Altrincham 2 Chester 4 Bet won :ok According to the stats I saw, Chester had a lot more shots on target, so it sounds as though it may have been a deserved win.
