Re: Villa v Stoke April 9th Aston Villa vs Stoke City That was a good point and a much needed one for Aston Villa against Liverpool. Though Liverpool hit the upright more times than Ive got fingers, (actually, no, not quite that many), and Villa were fortunate to come away with a point. Villa are still not safe from relegation. Last season two teams wee relegated on 39 points and Villa themselves are on 34. Though its unlikely that they will be, and that the relegation battle was especially close last season, relegation on 39 points is still possible this season. Stoke on the other hand just seem to be enjoying their football right now. Comfortably mid table they showed abit of character to dump wolves firmly out of the Premier League. Their set piece skills seem to have got better, with both goals coming from them without the need for an outrageous Crouch volley. Mind you, no-one can call him a lanky working man's tool of a striker for the rest of his life with a goal like that. A tight game for Value, and marginal of a marginal value on a draw. Not much in the team news. I expect both managers to rotate, especially Pulis who said he would. Weimann could return to the starting lineup after scoring a late winner against Fulham a few weeks ago. Draw 3.370 Pinnacle 2/10
