Re: Weekend > Championship > 24-25 March West Ham AH-0.25 1.96 Pinnacle 5/10 Will the Hammers finally win? Recently they played too many draws (mainly at home, 5 in a row). Yet I think that they will return to winning ways at Burnley who are average at home (6w-6d-6l). West Ham seems to enjoy away games, they are the strongest away side in this league (10-4-4) having won more games away than home. Burnley lost 4 from last 6 games. In the meantime they almost play for nothing, so it´s not too hard to figure out whose motivation should be bigger in this matchup.

Re: Weekend > Championship > 24-25 March Huge game down at the bottom for us on Saturday. It's a game neither can afford to lose really....Tuesday was easily our best performance of the season, and we at last got something go for us with the sending off. I honestly can't tell how we'll play... I'd expect us to put in another hard working performance, but away from home we generally create very little. I think Coventry are a bit like us, in that they tend to perform better at home than away. For that reason I think the odds are about right, and the result will depend on which side gets that slice of good fortune to send the three points one way or the other. Team news should be as you were for us, with no significant changes, unless Jason Pearce moves between now and Saturday.

Re: Weekend > Championship > 24-25 March I think we (Leeds) are decent value here @ 3.05. Millwall are unusally iffy at home, whilst Warnock will have had a real go at the lads following Tuesday night and it'll be a massive wake-up call. I'd go for us here. I'm looking at Over 2.5 goals in the Southampton vs Doncaster game, which by my reckoning has a 62% chance of occuring. Reading vs Blackpool and Watford vs Ipswich (both 60.5%) will also be added to a nice little over 2.5 treble. Bets: Over 2.5 in: Reading vs Blackpool @ 5/6 (PaddyPower) Southampton vs Doncaster @ 4/6 (PaddyPower) Watford vs Ipswich @ 8/11 (PaddyPower) Accumulator on the above @ 5.28/1 (PaddyPower)

Re: Weekend > Championship > 24-25 March I´m thinking about opposing Nottingham at home vs. Brighton. Must admit that I completely failed on Tuesday by backing Leeds (although the betting money was on their side). However I think that Forest might find it hard to win vs Brighton after such an exceptional result. Brighton is a strong home team but their away performances improved. This year they only lost away vs. Liverpool and Blackpool who are a decent side at home. Forest tends to play worse after good performances. After they won at Birmingham they drew at Barnsley and lost at home to Doncaster. In general Forest can´t be trusted at home (5-3-11). A draw or even more is definately on the cards for Brighton. My choice will be AH+0.25 1.99 Pinnacle 4/10...

Re: Weekend > Championship > 24-25 March Could anyone (particularly Hammers fans) give me a clue as to how you guys might fare tommorow at Burnley. I am currently considering West Ham +0 @ 8/11 (Pinnacle) Pressure seems to be mounting at West Ham with them no-longer in the automatic promotion places, they seem to fare better away from home where there is less pressure but are they currently confident enough to go out and get the 3pts tommorow with the margin for error growing ever thinner?

Re: Weekend > Championship > 24-25 March Here is what I will be betting on this weekend: Burnley - West Ham - West Ham to win at odds 2,25 @ Ladbrokes Based on results so far, and recent form, I set the percentages at 28-24-48, making the bet playable down to odds 2,08 Watford - Ipswich - Watford to win at odds 2,50 @ Ladbrokes. My predictions of the percentages are 45-26-29, making a Watford win playable down to odds 2,24. Ipswich is a good side, but they are best at home and are without Leadbitter (suspension). In addtion, they have not won against Watford in their last 13 league encounters. Barnsley - Peterborough - Peterborough to win at odds 2,80 @ Ladbrokes Prediction of percentages are 29-24-47, especially due to recent form (Barnsley has got only one point from the last 7 games). This makes the away-win playable down to odds 2,13 [TABLE=width: 273]

Re: Weekend > Championship > 24-25 March Hi das phantom I think this game is perfectly suited to westhams style. I have questions over big sans ability t break teams down at home but away he doesnt have to do this as its generally down to the home team to go forward. I think this will play into the hammers hands and I can see them winning this on the break. Burnley have been really poor of late and based on their last 5 games I have seen little that should concern the hammers. The greater motivation will also be with away here so all in better than evens will do for me.

Before their last away game Brighton were unbeaten in their previous 5 away matches. Meanwhile Forest have been dodgy all season at home so an away win looks likely. As a Forest supporter I don't like betting on anything to do with them but I'm backing Brighton today.

Re: Weekend > Championship > 24-25 March Ok, we've signed a couple of youngsters from Manchester City on loan for a month. 17 year old Dutch defender Karim Rekik and 20 year old forward Luca Scapuzzi. Don't know much about them but Rekik is a 6 foot defender that can play at full back also, and has played for the Dutch international under 17s and under 19s. Scapuzzi is also a 6 foot player that can play up front, or behind the front two. Spent time on loan at Oldham and came through the AC Milan youth academy. Both will go into the match day squad, probably the bench, which should keep Dave Kitson out of the starting line up. We now have options, which may make us a little more competitive. The decision has also been taken to not sign a replacement goalkeeper, so we are gambling on Jamie Ashdown carrying on between the sticks for the remainder of the season. Again, no goalkeeper on the bench, and I also expect Benjani to be sidelined.
