Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28 The best value I have found so far seems to be Kidderminster against Stockport at 2.4. Harriers are an in-form team and are on the verge of playoff places. All they need now is some consistency and beating a team fighting against relegation will be expected. Kiddy showed some patience and resilience last Saturday when they scored two goals against 10-men Alfreton in 90 minutes. Besides, my figures show that Kiddy have 50% chance of winning so any odds above 2.0 (evens) represent decent value. I am going to do more research into team news and spirit in both camps before making decisions but for now Kiddy on DNB look like a perfect complement for a double with my Wimbledon DNB selection (reasoning in the relevant thread).

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28 Very quiet on here this week. Following the above I have taken Kidderminster DNB to beat Stockport @ 1.53 with Coral. I think there were higher prices available but I chose Coral to take it in a double with Wimbledon. Had a look at some local press today and the mood in Stockport doesn't seem to be great. They were praised for late equalisers they scored in their last two games but their manager admits that some players aren't good enough.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28 Think I might miss out on the BSP again this weekend (unless Kettering are a backable price). Tempted by Southport as Hayes arent a good side but will leave them after Tuesday. Kiddie also tempted me but bar that win at York just before Christmas their away form hasnt been that strong of late, also I think Stockport are showing signs of life especially at home and it just offers enough of a question mark for me.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28

I believe they are sending half-a-dozen fringe players and Academy boys to the cup game. It looks like a strong squad going up to Gateshead, along with one or two useful additions. I think they have a chance of a result.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28 Ebbsfleet Town vs Mansfield Town After teh draw with Luton Town, Mansfield has been boosted with confidence, it is clear that! Ebbsfleet has 4 wins in last 5 matches, while Mansfield is undefeated in last 5 matches. Just 3 defeats in last 15 games in Conference for Mansfield. Ebbsfleet has been very strong home with just 1 defeat in last 8 matches. Expect Mansfield to start winning games again! away 0 AH @ 1.89 with 188bet

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28 Forest Green vs Fleetwood Town Toughest test in the last period for Fleetwood as they need the win here to maintain their 1st position taken after so long time back from Wrecsam. Forest Green are not mugs, but I do not see them capable of holding twice in a row another good side in the series. A tough game, but I favor Fleetwood which are definitely preferring to play away this season than home. away win @ 1.96 with 188bet

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28 Some spreads for me today... A sell of Braintree Town's 2nd goal at 72 with Sporting Index. Things didn't go well for Braintree at Fleetwood, though decisions didn't go their way (it happens at Fleetwood), and I think they have a chance of turning over this spread against a Barrow side that has been conceding heavily and look pretty light in squad terms going into this one (the management team are threatening to stick themselves on the bench.) A buy of total goals in the Cambridge/Tamworth game - 2.65 with Spreadex. A decent buying opportunity in my opinion, given that Tamworth's last seven league games have beaten that mark. Before that they were more organised, but in recent matches they have been injury hit and defensively wide open. They are also occasionally effective going forward, and I don't have total faith in the Cambridge defence, so they may well notch. I'd set this trade several ticks higher. A sell of Mansfield Town's 2nd goal at 75 (Sporting). Ebbsfleet's score-and-concede routine may continue today, though my own feeling is that Mansfield will be stronger and they looked in good groove at times against Luton. They don't score heavily away from home but they will see this as a chance to revive the last embers of their play-off hopes. I am still deciding on what to do with the Gateshead/Newport game - one trade so far, and maybe one more. I think Newport will have more say in this than the spreads suggest - there are tentative signs that they are starting to find their feet under Justin Edinburgh. Given Gateshead's recent defensive frailties, I am tempted by a sell of Newport's second at 81, and I may well do that, but the trade for me is a buy of loanee Nat Jarvis's goal minutes at 13 with Sporting. The Cardiff City forward has played under Hudson and Edinburgh and looks a much better player in his second loan spell. He's a more clinical finisher than anything that Newport have had this season and worth a play at this level.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28 Had a little dabble on Kettering at 3/1 with bwin. Deservedly beat Gateshead on Tuesday and on that form they can beat Lincoln. Having seen the defending for the Wrexham goals last week they clearly can be pretty ropey at the back however it seems to be the better teams who punish them more than the weaker teams in the league. Im still not convinced by Lincoln and with that confidence boosting win behind them its hard to see why Kettering should be 3/1 for this.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28 Cheers York for ruining a combo that would get me nearly 550 quid... I mean, wtf, taking 2 goals from a side that's in a worse position than kettering atm, then equalizing in 2 mins, and playing for another 30 without a single goal...Yeah this league looks more and more driven by just a handfull of teams, its clearly beginning to be obvious that teams like cambridge, york, gateshead and kidderminister are intentionally avoiding top spots since it clearly serves them better to stay forever in this league than to advance...that or they aren't as serious/funded/financially capable as wrexam or luton.

You obviously dont know the league very well. Darlo had a fairly strong side out and worth remembering that Fleetwood only beat them 1-0 last weekend. Ignore their off the field troubles and they have been performing with credit on it. York are known for slipping up in games they should win on paper theyve done it a few times this season. Also if you think Wrexham have got lots of money then Im sure Barton will put you right on that.

Wrexham, indeed, are the perfect example of what a 'cambridge, york, gateshead and kidderminster' can achieve with a bit of a run, a spirited squad and some off-the-field leadership (Luton - an underachieving big club - and Fleetwood - a privately funded trinket - are different cases). There's no real surprise in Darlo's performance - they ran Fleetwood close last week and they are still fighting for their existence, whereas York sometimes fail in situations when they should win.

Re: England > Weekend > BlueSQ Bet Prem Jan 28 Mixed session for me on the spreads: Braintree failed to score two for an 18 point loss, Cambridge/Tamworth scored just one for a 1.6 loss and Nat Jarvis was subbed without scoring for a 13 point loss. Still, Mansfield's 2nd came on 38 for a 37 point profit and a small surplus on the day. Good calls by sportxtipster on Mansfield and Fleetwood, and a real cracker by addpea on Kettering.

2:1 to Stockport bet lost. Simeunov - losing bets is frustrating but I suggest you change your attitude (unless you want to carry on losing money). Never blame a team who lost, won, conceded an injury time equaliser to lose you a bet. Never blame fate, luck, fortune or anything else for lost bets. Ultimately you choose your bets and you are the one who takes full responsibility. If a bet loses, check if you can have some sort of lesson from that experience for the future.
