Re: The top vs bottom strategy Hi - yes I do post them all, or have I missed one? Any team in top 6 at home to any team in bottom 6 in Premier, Championship, Div. 1, Div.2 and Conference, and any team in top 3 home to a bottom 3 team in Scottish football. Celtic were 2nd last night before the game, and Dundee 3rd from bottom (they were level on points with Dunfermline, but with a worse goal difference) I will continue this to the end of the season, but i'm not happy about the lower scottish leagues as teams like Gretna and Peterhead have promotion well and truly sown up and if one of them is clear for the title their effort way not be there. Brechin (top of Div.2) lost at home to Berwick (who were bottom) a couple of weeks ago:eek

Brechin (top of Div.2) lost at home to Berwick (who were bottom) a couple of weeks ago" Good point, motivation is in most cases, THE deciding factor, especially in such fixtures where the quality difference of the teams is considerable. I remember a year ago Porto in Portugal had already claimed the championship weeks before the end of the season, and yet, with such a driven disciplinarian coach as murinio, kept winning each and every fixture, while there are plenty of cases where teams start to use younger players and back ups as soon as they reach their goal, and start dropping points here and there, especially when other competitions are involved such as the champions league and the uefa cup. So, i guess one has to be careful, and be on the safe side by eliminating all bets on teams in similar circumstances.

Re: The top vs bottom strategy Hi Matty, Just been reading through your system, seems very inmteresting and this style of betting has always interested me. Do you (or anyone) think that it might be worth throwing accys in on some days as ive noticed youve taken all 4 or 5 in one day before, or maybe perms? What do you think? Saul :ok

Re: The top vs bottom strategy Hi Saul - that final bank should read 99.22 not 199.22 btw - just noticed:lol Is there mileage in doubles or perms? Possibly I must admit I didn't check, but the system is purely top 6 vs bottom 6 - someweeks you have no games others you might have 8.If you have a week with 8 games and say 3 don't come in you're looking at a big loss. But when backing level stakes the loss isn't so bad. Really not sure - something to look into I feel

Re: The top vs bottom strategy Hi Matty & Folks ,hope you wont mind me looking in Matty and putting up selections using your system, have looked back on your system results and have taken the view that laying the away side on Betfair looks the best for returns. From the start of your thread to the last selections ive worked out that if you layed using filters 1,Lays on away teams only when the home team is odds of 1.30 up. this filter is used to stop laying higher odds away sides that will sneak an away win over a season,on Betfair the odds on away sides that market view that dont have a win chance away are crazy, one game as a example from your selections was Dundee Utd away to Rangers which they won 0-1 odds on Rangers was as low as 1.14 so no value in the lay. 2,Iam my self from Edinburgh Scotland and the lower Scot Leaques are very hard as the leaques are not very big in total of teams and many sides are not that far apart on form overall,so the Scot leaques 1,2,3 i leave out. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- I will add European leaques to the system to see what results are gained starting today . All lays ive based on a 600pt bank ,layed to 10pts a lay,all betfair price. Results based using Betfair odds on past results with filters in place gave 180pts+ based on 10pts a lay. Will post up todays games later if any ;) ;)
