Sire stats on Post cards

Recommended Posts

Just looking at southwell tomorrow and noticed in the Diomed comments lots of reference to 'Sire 6-18 here' 'Sire 0-22 here' This appears to be something new.............and quite valuable But I'd like to see that stat for every horse in the race not just the ones that Diomed includes ! Anywhere know where that info is available from ?............is it hidden away somewhere on the RP site ?

Re: Sire stats on Post cards Just to add to that...... There's also lots of trainer info in the Diomed comments like 'trainer 0-36 with first time out 3yo in last 5 five years' Again this seems to be new and something I've been looking for years......... The B2yoR site has these figs for all trainers but only for 2yo I can't find these stats on the 'trainer' page on the RP..........where's it coming from ?

Re: Sire stats on Post cards My guess would be from one of the computer form books that are available for subscription (e.g. Raceform Interactive, The Sportsbook, Proform, The Computer Form Book or Dataform) I've used some of these over the years and sire stats/trainer stats that you describe can be easily gotten from these. If these stats are available on the Racing Post website, then unfortunately I couldn't tell you where they are or how to access them.

Re: Sire stats on Post cards It's not on the RP site I think, I've wanted to know where they got them from. Once I actually looked through every horse that he'd ever sired (there was about 50, it wasn't Sadlers Wells!) at Southwell. However, if you muck about with the filters here http://www.flatstats.co.uk/sire_stats.php then you can I *think* find reliable information on it. Takes a bit of fiddling but think it's right.

Re: Sire stats on Post cards Cheers Lars...........that's pretty good but a bit fiddly ! I used to have a site on my old computer that gave these kind of stats.........but I haven't got it now...........and can't remember it, tho' i think it began with J ?

Re: Sire stats on Post cards As far as I'm aware the full sire stats aren't available of the RP site. They seem to be only on the AW maiden races at the moment but they'd useful for all juvenile or maiden races where the only comments are usually 'check the market'. (well duh)

Yeah, that's a real cop out...........:p I;m mainly interested in the AW for the winter season........I might just start jotting down these stats as and when they appear and build up a database ready for thw AW season

Re: Sire stats on Post cards This is fantastic info (if the link opens) Sire's progeny records (wins, runners, strike rate) broken down by track, age, going, distance, month - for over 1300 sires ! Unfortunately it doesn't appear to have updated since 2008..........:cry http://www.jadwizracing.co.uk/members-area/jockey-trainer-sire-stats/flat-sire-record-2008.pdf
