BBOTD 29th March

Re: BBOTD 29th March Lingfield 5:10 Prince of Thebes 8-1 BET365(BOG) 1 point WIN Has not been in good form of late but this mark looks too low to ignore, is a multiple C&D winner off a much higher mark so knows his way around here. King Callan is booked and they may be the significant factor, the trainer may feel the horse has shown some signs in training and wants the best jockey to capitalise on this lowly mark. Some other C&D specialists in the field but they are at the limit of there marks and the handicapper may have them well held.

Re: BBOTD 29th March 2:50 Taunton - Qozak - Back Another real shortie for me here but it's just a matter of preserving the hard work that I've put in in the first 3 months until the flat season gets going. Qozak looks utterly unopposable here in a 2 runner affair where his sole opponent unseated lto after hardly jumping a fence. Qozak was a costly 2nd lto when not jumping very well, but he was still miles clear of 3rd that day. He'd have to be a long way below par to get beaten here 1pt win @ SP

Re: BBOTD 29th March 4.10 Lingfield - Secret Queen Bet365 33/1 The outsider of this 6 runner race and a very tentative selection. Comes here for the small Martin Hill stable, who although hasnt had a flat winner in a while, has had 4 successes over jumps this season so is capable of training winners. Still lightly raced she's showed all her best form over 6f for Brian Meehan back in 2009, winning her maiden comfortably and running well in listed company. Returned in 2010 off a mark of 85 she ran 5 times beating rivals only once, over 6f in a class 4 handicap where she was 5 lengths behind the winner. All other starts were over 7f where she never got involved. Returned from another break this March to run over 9f on her first start for Martin Hill finishing last of 8, at least she went the pace early on and had to be restrained suggesting a shorter trip will be more suitable. Top all weather jockey Luke Morris booked which is a positive and with Six Wives looking the only rival with some strong form this one may out run her price of 33/1. Wouldnt be surprised to see this one go off bigger than that, but VC already cut her to 25/1 so any money would be interesting.

Re: BBOTD 29th March 4.00 Southwell Parhelion 7/1 William Hill Probably the race of the day and plenty in with chances. Mush Mir could be hard to peg back yet again if allowed a soft lead but I think he may get taken on by the Johnson horse. This could hopefully set it up for the selection. This horse improved for the switch to this surface over this trip last time out when well on top at the finish. Think he can progress again and take this one. Saying that though, I don't think any of the field can be ruled out.

Re: BBOTD 29th March 15.10 lingfield 1 point win come on the irons 40/1 boylesports i will try a point win on come on the irons at a decent 40/1 in this very weak class 6 handicap, come on the irons hasnt performed well of late, but if it can produce anywere near the form it showed last september when 4th in a much more competative handicap (class 4) over 7 furlongs and running on well the extra furlong should suit then come on the irons can go close

Re: BBOTD 29th March 4.30pm @ Southwell 'Ana Emarati' 7/4 (Victor Chandler) Absolutely hacked up last time out beating one of today's main rivals easily, that horse won since but no reason why it will turn around with this one today. As that looks the main danger, it'll take a very much improved effort from anything (or a bad ride from Spencer) to stop this winning. 1 point win

Re: BBOTD 29th March 4.40 Lingfield I tipped Sunset Place last week at Kempton at a nice price, to only just fail to get up over the inform Kingaroo pulling well clear of the remainder. He remains unexposed at this sort of trip having only tried this twice once in a maiden which the handicapper took a fair view of and upped his mark and then last time out off todays mark aswell, still unexposed and clearly has a race in him. 1pt win sunset place 9/4 vcbet

Re: BBOTD 29th March 4:10 Cape Melody @ Lingfield - Been in good form this year and can be forgiven for its last run when slowly into stride. Was a length down on Mary's Pet in the race before but that horse has been given a 3lb rise in the weights.Has a good jockey booking in Jimmy Fortune and sure to go close. 1pt Win bet @ 5/2 Coral

Re: BBOTD 29th March SMOKING 4.20 Taunton. 0.5 points each way. Hasn't the form to win this, but has mental problems I think and the fitting of blinkers can bring about enough improvement to go well in context with this poor sort of race. The trip and ground shouldn't bother him and looks a decent price. All about the blinkers bringing improvement. I'll take the 16/1 with Stan James for comp purposes.

Re: BBOTD 29th March They All Laughed 5.00 Southwell. 0.5 points each way. Didn't show much last season, but maybe not too much should be read into that, as did well the season before and has now dropped in the weights as a result of last season. I might be wrong, but back on an exploitable mark now and 'if' fit after a break, then he should be able to be involved in the finish of this race. 7/1 with Coral

Re: BBOTD 29th March 5.20 Taunton Titch Strider 1pt win @ 10/1 Finished 5th on debut on similar ground when well backed so better must have been expected by connections. Sure to come on for that run and doesn't have a lot to find to get involved here so think the 10/1 available is decent value.
