Event Moroka Swallows - Mamelodi Sundowns
Selection Mamelodi Sundowns
Strength 10/10
Date 02/02/2011
Bookmaker/Price Sportingbet @ 1.91
Reasoning Moroka Swallows is playing really bad. And today they will face a real contender to the title, Mamelodi Sundowns. Moroka Swallows on the two last games suffered two bad defeats, against Amazulu (4-0) at home and Ajax Cape Town (2-0), away. Mamelodi Sundowns are also on a bad series but they are just three points behind the leader and after changing his coach is expected them to recover their football and play like a real contender.

Re: South Africa » Premier League

Event Supersport Utd - Bidvest Wits
Selection Supersport Utd
Strength 10/10
Date 02/02/2011
Bookmaker/Price Betfred @ 1.91
Reasoning On the earlier game this season, Bidvest Wits defeated Supersport Utd by 3-0 and the hosts today are only thinking in revenge that result. Both teams are fighting for a place at the top half of the table, but the hosts are very motivated to clean their image in front of their fans. Despite the last defeat at the Black Aces by 2-1, Supersport Utd is playing very well and they are more than capable to win this revenge game under the support of their fans.

Re: South Africa » Premier League

Event Golden Arrows vs Kaizer Chiefs
Selection Kaizer Chiefs
Strength 10/10
Date 02/02/2011
Bookmaker/Price Ladbrokes @ 2.37
Reasoning Golden Arrows are at 7`th place with 25 points while Kaizer is 2`nd with 33, two points behind the leader Mamelodi. Arrows are in some erratic form lately winning one than losing the next one and you can call them consistant in that way. Golden had a bad time away in the last game losing vs Vasco but the previous have won over Maritzburg 3:0 at home. We can definetly say they are a middtable team as have won at home against lower table teams but lost against better opposition on a couple of times (Orlando, Mamelodi, Bidwest) and drew against Ajax. Kaizer is deffinetly one of those best sides and in 5 last mutual games have won 4 against Arrows. Kaizer had it easy at home vs Maritzburg but in last away at Bloemfontain have shown great fighting spirit against unbeaten home side and leveled 2:2 after losing 2:0. Worry for me is that their best attacker Knowledhe Musona is doubtfull for this game but they have their great winger Tshabalala back after trial at Not.Forest with 2 goals in last game. Motaung Junior is also doubtfull in Kaizer. Siyabonga Nkos is absent in Golden Arrows. Coaches of both teams know eachother well as they come from the same country (Verzemović and Filipović) but Vlad V. obviously more experienced and succesfull coach should also make the difference.

Re: South Africa » Premier League

Event Bloemfontein vs Ajax
Selection over 3.50
Strength 10/10
Date 02/02/2011
Bookmaker/Price Victor Chandler @ 4.20
Reasoning Bloemfontein has been more consistent than Ajax lately but has troubly coverting good play inti wins at home. Last they played Kaizer and lead 2:0 but Kiazer leveled in 90`th minute for 2:2. Ajax had a good away game at Platinum where they won 3:0 but th eprevious lsot at Maritzburg also 3:0 that shows great unstability. Both team have big problems with suspensions so a lot of regulars will be missing which is a chance for goals.

Event Maritzburg vs Amazulu
Selection over 3.50
Strength 10/10
Date 02/02/2011
Bookmaker/Price Victor Chandler @ 3.40
Reasoning Both teams have poor defenses but Amazulu has also one of the best offences in the as they have scored away at Kaizer, Mamelodi, Ajax - all top sides. In Amazulus last 6 games away there have been 5 over 3.50 which is extraordinary for this league. Maritzburg in last 6 - 5 over 2.50.

Re: South Africa » Premier League South Africa Premier League 20 Feb 1330 GMT Orlando Pirates v Amazulu League leaders Pirates are enjoying a 12 run unbeaten streak winning their last 6 consecutive games. With 10 games to the end of the season they are being hotly chased by Ajax and Kaizer Chiefs. Ajax won yesterday and still keeping the pressure on Pirates. For this games Pirates miss their influential midfielder Andile Jali, but they have strength in depth and Oupa Manyisa will be back after serving a suspension in their last league game. With the quality of Pirates and the need to win this game i can only see the league leaders adding Amazulu to their casualty list. Orlando Pirates to win @ 1.64 SBOBET Santos v Kaizer Chiefs This is a month Santos will want to forget about quickly as they havent tasted victory and have conceeded more than double the amount of goals in their last 4 matches than in all 16 of their previous league games preceeding February. To make matters worse they will miss the services of their captian Tyren Arendse through suspension and also van Beulen. Chiefs on the other hand are showing good form winning their last 4 consecutive games. Chiefs will be boosted by the return of their leading marksman and current goal king leader Knowledge Mosuna from suspension. Chiefs will be aiming to maintain their 2nd position and even overtake Pirates in case they fail. With their form and the poor predicaments of Santos, i expect Chiefs to come out tops. Kaizer Chiefs -0.25 @ 1.93 Bet365

Re: South Africa » Premier League 2011 Thread

Event Amazulu vs Bidvest Wits
Selection over 3.50
Strength 10/10
Date 05/03/2011
Bookmaker/Price Bwin @ 3.20
Reasoning PSL League is known as one of the most difficult to forecast and realistically, at least at the beginning of the Championship, only able to play under. But that is not easy to forecast and i`m now going for a very attacking teams - AmaZulu and Wits. AmaZulu are located at 9 place while Bidvest at 6, the difference is 5 points. Bidvest had a good streak of 5 games without defeat till the game with Sundowns but continued on a great home-winning streak of 4, the last over Ajax. The guests also have a good offense, although not so strong. AmaZulu has 7 games without losing but 6 of those were drawn so that made no significant changes on the table. AmaZulu scores less than in the first part of the season but when these two meet there are rarely few goals. However, would prefer that the AmaZulu were guests due to their strong counter, not so pronounced in home games. In the last 5 matches results are like this: 12/12/2010 South Africa first Bidwest League vs. Wits. AmaZulu 3:3 20/11/2009 South Africa first Bidwest League vs. Wits. AmaZulu 1:2 09/08/2009 South Africa first AmaZulu vs league. Bidwest Wits 2:2 06/05/2009 South Africa first AmaZulu vs league. Bidwest Wits 0:0 05/12/2008 South Africa first Bidwest League vs. Wits. AmaZulu 2:3 Kasongo Bukasa and Thamsanqa Sangweni have been suspended for the hosts while the guests miss Derrick Spencer and Thandi Mngomeni.

Re: South Africa » Premier League 2011 Thread

Event Bloemfontein vs Orlando
Selection draw
Strength 10/10
Date 06/03/2011
Bookmaker/Price Ladbrokes @ 3.10
Reasoning Bloemfontein is located in the 5 position in the league with 39 points, 10 less than the first Orlando. Celtic has a score of 10-9-4 while at home are undefeated with 5-6-0 and in fact the only home team that is unbeaten. On the other hand, Orlando is a guest without flaws - in 11 games with 8 wins and 3 draws which makes them by far the best away team. They had a great temptation in the last match at Kaizer but they managed to pluck a point in injury time, actually depicted the game could have taken more. A couple of times I've bet on the away defeat for Orlando because of missings of regular players but with anyone they play Orlando can not lose. Bloemfontein is the same and on their games there is rarely a goal fiest while results of 0:0 and 1:1 are the classic for home team. Celtic is a very strong host and do not believe that this time Orlando can win and I think that with a draw both will be satisfied. Orlando is still missing players: Moeneeb Josephs, Lucas Thwaite and Daine Klata (important players), Tlou Segolela is suspended and Happy Yelle and Thulasizwe Mbuyane return after suspension. Cecil Oerson and Angelo Kerspuy are suspended for the hosts. I expect a continuation of tradition for both teams and a result as the last 2 seasons: 1:1.

Re: South Africa » Premier League 2011 Thread

Event Orlando Pirates vs Super Sport
Selection over 4.50
Strength 5/10
Date 30/04/2011
Bookmaker/Price Victor Chandler @ 6.50
Reasoning Orlando is second with 3 points less than Ajax and a game less so victory is paramount against Super Sport. The current champions Super sport have had a horrible season and are on 9`th place at the moment. They kept most of their players till the winter break but their performances have been catastrophic all season long. Nobody knows why are they so poor this year. They have had only one win away all year long bitthis team still has some great players like Hartog, Glen Salmon and Morgan Gould that can score big. Super Sport has Mogogi Gabonamong suspended for this match while the hosts have bigger problems. they are missing their captain Lucky Lekgwathi, middfielder Isaac Chansa and first goalie Senzo Meyiwa aswell as second so the third goalie Jacob Mokhasi. will be at the post. There could be a surprice here but goals seem better.

Event Golden Arrows vs Santos
Selection over 4.50
Strength 5/10
Date 30/04/2011
Bookmaker/Price Victor Chandler @ 5.75
Reasoning Golden Arrows are on 10`th place with 8-6-13 and 5-3-5 at home with 23:21 home goal difference. Santos is on 8`th place with 7-12-8 and 2-6-5 away with 10:17 away goal diff. Both teams after good runs in the championship have shown indifferent form at the end and have changed coaches. Although both teams have improved scoring wise they have great problems with defenses. In last 5 games Arrows have scored 12 and conceded 16 while Santos has in last 3 games scored 6 and conceded 9. Arrows have 5 over 3.5 at home while Santos has 4 3.5 overs away. Both teams have little to play for and are scoring for fun lately so why not over 4.5 again.

Re: South Africa » Premier League 2011 Thread

Event Mamelodi vs Kaizer Chiefs
Selection over 3
Strength 10/10
Date 01/05/2011
Bookmaker/Price Bet365 @ 3.00
Reasoning Mamelodi is on 4th place in the league with 8 points behind the leader and slim chances for first place, maybe champions league. Kaizer is 6 points behind the leader and with a win here would be only 3 points so they have plenty to play for. Kaizer is 6-5-2 away and has 19:12 goal diff. while Mamelodi is 9-2-2 at home and 30:14 goal diff. which makes it over 3 goals per game. Sundowns have been leaking goals of late on home ground but their offense has been terrific which was clearly shown in last home match. They were trailing 0:4 against Ajax but with a furious second half were able to level on 4:4. In other home games have beaten Vasco 1:0, Arrows 3:2, Bidwest 3:1 and SAntos 3:0. But this time the opponent will be a bit stiffer as it is a derby and Kaizer has not played over in last 6 games, mostly drawing, jet their last mutual game on this turf ended 2:2 so some chances of a firecracker game still remaine. Both teams have best strikers of the league, Kaizer has Knowledge Musona who leads the league with 13 goals and Mamelodi has Katlego Mphela with 12, so much is expected from them in this game.
