Match Preview: Italy v Serbia — Euro 2012

On Tuesday evening in Genoa the «C» group leader, Italia national team I going to play a host to the team of Serbia, which is 3 point behind «Squadra Azzurra» in the draw. Last Friday the Serbians suffered a defeat from Estonia team, that shocked not only the inhabitants of Serbia, but also many football specialists and fans all over Europe. It is impossible to write this misfire off on accident, because game deterioration processes in «White Eagles» were already evident from their performance on the World Cup 2010 and have just acquired a more serious tinge. Many mass medias, naming the reason of the Serbs’ bad play, place special emphasis on the lack of players’ devotion, criticizing them for excessive inertness and passiveness. Such statements are well-grounded, as indeed, this summer many leading players made a promotion, having moved to more distinguished clubs, and now are particularly concerned abut their health state, because injuries can seriously affect the adaptation process in new teams. The team’s success in this case will depend to a large extent on the trainer gift of Vladimir Petrovich, who is to find the appropriate motivation words for every football player at his command, so when making your free bets, take this into consideration. Italia national team spends the current elimination cycle without special failures. Cesare Prandelli cultivates a new game style in the team and to the wonder of many the process is being carried out relatively fast and, what's important, without any by-effects. All the players, brought under the banners of the national team, seem to be possessed by the single idea and work for ne common purpose that cannot but gladden the «Squadra Azzurra» fans. After his accession to the manager’s office, Prandilli has done a remarkable volume of work, from efforts to attract new executors to the game tactical construction change. Transition to three-forwards game may be regarded among key changes and implies sharper and faster actions in attack. The roles of main forwards under the new coach are played by the duet Paccini — Kassano from Sampdoria, and Giuseppe Rossi and Marco Borriello taking turns. There have been also some changes in the defense line that became looking more balanced and trustful after coming of young Bonucci, Criscito and Cassani. You’re still thinking of your free bets? Well, all in all, if to evaluate the rivals’ prospects of success in tomorrow duel, the role of the favorite is plausible to be given to the host team, whose actions look more conscious, than those of national team of Serbia, a team of incredible talent, currently in the doldrums. Tentative lists of instructions: Italy (4-3-3): Viviano – Zambrotts, Gastaldello, Chiellini, Criscito — De Rossi, Pirlo, Mauri – Cassano, Pazzini, Borriello. Serbia (4-4-2): Stojković – Ivanović, Vidić, Luković, Lomić — ToÅ¡ić, Stanković, Krasić, Jovanović – Kuzmanović, Žigić. PREDICTION: Italy-will WIN (1,81 on Betfair) PROBABLE SCORE: 2-0 (8,00 on Betfair)

GOOD LUCK !!!

Tentative lists of instructions: Italy (4-3-3): Viviano – Zambrotts, Gastaldello, Chiellini, Criscito — De Rossi, Pirlo, Mauri – Cassano, Pazzini, Borriello. 48b012b014b5219960059da04472451c.gif Serbia (4-4-2): Stojković – Ivanović, Vidić, Luković, Lomić — Tošić, Stanković, Krasić, Jovanović – Kuzmanović, Žigić.
Just to note that De Rossi won't play because of injury.According to La Gazzeta dello Sport: Prandelli revealed the starting line-up: "Viviano; Zambrotta, Bonucci if he gets through this evening's training session ok, otherwise Gastaldello (but the Juve central defender looked to be in good shape during the session that started at 8:00 pm. ed.), Chiellini, Criscito; Marchisio, Pirlo, Palombo, Mauri; Pazzini, Cassano. I can't tell you the roles, because the injury to De Rossi has changed things." Also Vidic is suspended so Subotic will replace him, and latest news tell that is possible Tosic replace Jovanovic, while instead of Zigic could start Lazovic, but it is all speculative. And one more notification, because our ex-coach Antic suited our FA for not being payed all money from the contract, it's possible that UEFA will take away our points in qualifying stage, so we won't go in EURO 2012 no matter what. There is big problem between Antic and president of FA Karadzic and it reflects since WC on atmosphere in our national team.Petrovic is not even close an authority like Antic (his nickname is Pizon and players call him Piki like they are mates from elementary school) and his knowledge in modern football is very limited.

Italy Serbia Serbia is so underrated here ... they have lost at home to Estonia and this result stunned everybody i gues, but serbia have top class players and can win over any team no doubt about it ?! 6.4 on them ? wtf? i'll try to pick it +1 on them is around 1.8, any thoughts? maybe serbians have some injured players? or is that italy strong to put strong serbian team on a 6.4 odd ? amazing ..
Your thoughts are ok. But, Italy is much stronger team when playing in Italy.

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October

Hi everyone, newbie poster here, been lurking for a while but thought its about time i made a contribution and hopefully a winning one.:ok Scotland v Spain - Spain -1 6/5 (bet365) Spain to win to nil 21/20(bet365) I hate to say it as i am Scottish, but these in my opinion are 2 fantastic bets. We have been extremley poor now for sometime, first the shambles from Burley and quickly followed now with Levien. I watched in disgust on friday night v the czechs and there was NO improvement. Levein played a very embarrasing 4-6-0 formation and even though he played this Czech Rep had a number of excellent chances, had it not been for Mcgreggor(GK) it could easily have been a 3-0, 4-0 scorline. I think he will line up in a similar fashion and although he may bring Kenny Miller back in fold, he will also be asked to track back and join in the stifling of the midfield therefore not as an actual striker, so considering the way the czech created on friday i honestly believe the current European and World Champions will have alot of success, if there game against Lithuiania is anything to go by they will have 5 or 6 players up supporting Villa at every oppertunity. Joan Capdevila and Sergio Ramos were bombing forward every chance they had and IMO they will get it even easier defensively on this occasion. Also the technique of the spanish attacking players Llorente and David Silva and the guile of Iniesta i fear for the 40 year old David Weir and the carthorse Mcmanus at the back, Spain will defo score, its just a case of how many!! The only real positive i can see from a Scotland perspective is a full Hampden Park, this usually has a tremendous effect on the players wearing the dark blue, but with this crop im not so sure that will even come into play. Good luck whatever you bet!
:welcome to PL, BillyHill. :ok Can you email at [email protected] with a change of username as it's very close to BillyHills who has been on PL forever. ;)

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October

I'd play this line cautiously, mate. Faroe Islands aren't as bad at home these days as they used to be. In their last six home games, that line would only have been won once. They beat Lithuania, France only won 1-0 there, so did Romania and Austria were held to a draw. Also, Faroes are managed by ex-Republic of Ireland boss Brian Kerr, who'll be clued up on their opponents. NI aren't exactly free-scoring either. Good luck though - I hope it wins for you.
I agree with that and will back Faroe Islands @ 10.00 Ladbrokes

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October

Well, situation is very complicated. For us (Serbia) Vidic can't play cause of suspension, in fact, he was already go back to Man Utd.Instead of him Subotic will play as second centre-back together with Lukovic.Ivanovic will again play on the right-back, as Lomic on left side.According to newspaper, Petrovic will make one more change in midfield it is Ninkovic who will replace Kacar as centre midfield. Our tactics again will be 4-2-3-1, and probably we'll play in formation: Stojković Ivanović, Subotić, Luković, Lomić Stanković, Kuzmanović Krasić, Ninković, Jovanović Žigić As for Italy, De Rossi and Boriello are injured, and they won't play tomorrow (according to italian doctors and newspapers) and for this reason Pacini will play in front together with Cassano.Prandelli says that he will play in formation 4-4-2: Now, these are all official information, but in my opinion we have very small chance of delivering at least good football in Genova.Vidic is very hard to replace, although Subotic is good player but he and Lukovic are not coordinated as much as Vidic and Lukovic.Lomic at LB show nothing in match against Estonia so I expect that we are going to have BIG problems in defense. In midfield, we have for long time lack of creative players. Stankovic and Kuzmanovic are good at DM but they aren't playmakers. Ninkovic should be that playmaker, but I have doubts if he can do it, especially because he is, in some hand, a novice in national team.About our wingers, all I can say is that Jovanovic MUST begin to play but is very hard to predict that will happen.Krasic was only light spot in Friday's game and he is playing just like he do it in Juve, in one word SUPERB.And last but not least, Zigic as our only striker for tomorrows match, is in really bad shape. He can do something ONLY if wingers feed him with lots of good cross but that again depends on playmaker which brings us at begin of story. All in all, I expect that we will concede at least one goal, while I have no idea what will happened in our attack (if anything happened). My pick for this match will be OVER, while I won't touch 1X2. I hope this helps you mate.
yea thanks man! :hope after all post i read here and some other sites i'll try to handle myself go away from this one... :) still believe that Serbia could catch some points today, anyway thanks for info

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October

I think odds on Sweden are crazy. Even though Holland is the finalist of the World Cup Sweden should not be priced @ 7.00. Even Spain did not have an easy game against Lithuania at home. Holland bet Finland at home 2-1 and Moldova away only 1-0. Sweden is much better than Finland and I believe they can get something here and @ 7.00 there is a value backing Sweden.
Holland - Sweden Even though Holland have a good home record they haven't faced really strong teams at home. As I said earlier Sweden is a strong team in my opinion and I do not see them losing here. I was leaning towards a draw but instead if picking a draw I will split my stake on correct score results. I will not pick 0-0 draw because both teams have much better attack than defense and I expect goals here, and probably Zlatan scoring once. Draw 1-1 @ 7.50 William Hill Draw 2-2 @ 19.00 William Hill Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Score @ 3.25 William Hill

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October England v Montenegro This won't be an easy game by any means for England. Montenegro are a better side since their World Cup qualifying attempt despite losing a couple of key players. Krancjar has built a solid, well balanced team with some good techinical ability all around the pitch. They will line up something like: Bozovic Savic - Basa - Dzudovic - Jovanovic Vukcevic - Pekovic - Zverotic - Boskovic Vucinic Djalovic It's a good team, with a solid spine and the creativity of Vukcevic and Vucinic, mixed with the clinical style of Djalovic make them dangerous on the break. Where they may be suspectable however is down the wings, Savic, a 19 year old playing at Partizan Belgrade is making only his second international appearance, whilst Jovanovic was far from convincing against Switzerland, looking out of sorts at this level. England are with a few issues themselves. Injuries to Defoe, Bent, Walcott and Lennon mean that there is little pace in the team, whilst back problems for Terry mean that it will once again be a makeshift back four, with Rio coming in as captain, and surely not 100% game fit with so few starts. Where England do have an advantage however is down the wings, with Johnson starting on the right, and one of Cole, Downing and Young on the left. There's a lot of potential there and with the Montenegro full backs looking like the weak spot, it may be an area that England target, especially with the attacking nature of both Ashley Cole on the left and Johnson on the right. With Crouch starting up front, and Rooney off form, you would expect to see lots of balls into the box, and I wouldn't be suprised to see the lanky Crouch get onto one or two of those crosses, which is where my betting will look too. Crouch first scorer @ 9/2 - Various - 2.5pts Crouch to score anytime @ 11/8 - Boylesports - 5pts Crouch to score 2 or more @ 7/1 - BetFred - 1pt Johnson to score 2 or more @ 18/1 - Bet365 - 1pt Another interesting stat is regarding Englands goal record at home. England have gone over 2.5 in 18 of their last 19 games at Wembly! Quite remarkable when you think about it. So on a purely statistical basis, I'll be backing; Over 2.5 @ 8/11 - StanJames - 5pts Over 3.5 @ 2/1 - VCbet - 2.5pts

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October England v Montenegro Montenegro +1.5 @ 2.01 - Pinnacle To be perfectly honest, I find England are almost always under-priced by the bookies. Call it patriotism, respect for a historically big football nation, whatever - it almost always holds true. As it does in this game, yet again. I'd lay them at the current price given on betfair (1.27), but I believe there's more value in their opposition on the handicap. England are, after all, pretty solid at Wembley, but do they have what it takes to beat this Montenegro team, a team that has yet to concede so far in qualifying, by two goals? Probably not, I say. They've been in good form lately, which is a cause for optimism, but one mustn't underrate this Montenegrin side. England will be without 'true captain' John Terry, Frank Lampard and the man in international form for England - Defoe. Walcott is out as is Lennon, so the midfield is starting to lack creativity compared to what they've had previously. Key players such as Gerrard and Rooney will be frustrated due to their teams' performances in the Premier League lately, and to be perfectly honest I wouldn't be surprised if we get a Deja Vu feeling from what we saw in the World Cup. I think their squad, in their lack of creativity, will have a tough time breaking down a stubborn Montenegrin defense, who will definitely be playing for a draw here. Should be an interesting game.

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October Faroe Islands v Northern Ireland Northern Ireland Clean Sheet @ 1.80 - bet365 Northern Ireland have had a great start to qualifying, mainly due to solid defending. They beat Slovenia 1-0 and held Italy to a 0-0 draw, and I'm sure they'll make sure they're fully concentrated ahead of this vital game. Faroe Islands impressed in their opening game against Estonia, where they lost a 1-0 lead by conceding two goals in overtime. Since then, they've been beaten 0-3 by Serbia at home, 5-0 by Italy away and finally 5-1 by Slovenia away - where they scored in the last minute, when the game was long gone. I don't think Northern Ireland will run away with this, and thus they'll have to keep concentrating on holding that clean sheet to secure victory. I think the chances of them managing that are higher that the 55% the odds convey, so there is value here in my opinion.

England v Montenegro Montenegro +1.5 @ 2.01 - Pinnacle To be perfectly honest, I find England are almost always under-priced by the bookies.
I sort of agree, but England have won their last 12 games at Wembley, which is nothing to be sniffed at, especially considering they've scored 39 goals in the process (3.25 per game), and thats against teams such as Croatia, Belarus, Mexico etc. etc. so teams on Montenegro's level. Out of those 12 wins, they've beaten the -1 handicap 8 times, so although they may be boring to watch, they do go on to finish teams off. I do like the 2nd half more goals bet that someone posted earlier, just having a look at the stats and that bet would win in 10 out of the last 12 England home games, so the price on it at 11/10 looks decent. Perhaps even Draw/England @ 7/2 or even Montenegro/England at 33/1 may also appeal to some people, but I think I'll leave those alone personally.

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October Italy-Serbia.Italy @3/4 B365 Serbia have lost 4 of their last 6 matches. Their 2 wins being 3-0 against the Faroes and the win against Germany in the World Cup, greatly enhanced by a lunatic of a referee. Can't see how anyone would really want to put money on the Serbs after they lost to Estonia on Friday. I'm sure that result took many peoples accies down. The Italians will never give your money an easy ride, but one thing you can be sure of is that they will be hard to score against. If they score then I think they will win.

EventBelarus - Albania
SelectionBelarus
Strength10/10
Date12/10/2010
Bookmaker/PriceEurobet @ 1.73
ReasoningTo this game, Bogdani, suspended, and the captain Lorik Cana, injured, are both out of this Albania's game. In this qualifying, Belarus already won at Paris, and despite both teams are coming from two poor draws (Belarus at Luxembourg and Albania receiving Bosnia), Belarus showed recently their superiority over Albania. And beside they have more value than Albania, they have the home advantage in this game. The stadium at Misnk will have a great atmosphere and the replace players on the center of Albania defense will feel th big pressure made by the Belarus attack and the Belarus supporters. Don't forget also that Albania is without his first coach, and they are acting like if they have no leader.
[/quote just a word of caution there. It is true that bogdani is missing, but there is a good replacemnete for him, Hamdi Salihi, last seasons one of the top scorer in the Austrian super league who plays for rapid wien, he is very good finisher for sure. Ya the massive miss will be Loric Cana for sure, he is a leader in the pitch. But i know the team that is gonna play tonite, and Albania is going over there to MInsk for a draw, they gonna play 4-5-1 formation, and try an hit belaruse in counter attact as am sur belaruse will attack and have the ball possesion more. YOU are wrong to say that the albanain team is acting like if they have no leader ??? sorry but non-sense, they after gettin a draw againts bosnia, was watching that game live, they really performed very well, well organised,, and even hit the post an the game coudl have gone either way. Am not making albania a super team, but am telling you this team is rising every year, just like results suggest. and is getting a a hard nut to be cracked.. My tip Draw @ 3.4 with paddy power and also Albania +1 @ 2.1 with paddy power GL all

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October Azerbaijan - Turkey under 2.5 @ 1.97 pinnacle Azerbaijan tend to play tough at home and away sides struggle with the surface and the atmosphere there. While they have been hammered twice on the road, the Azerbaijani's play much better at home, and like them to make it tough for their neighbours Turkey here. The Turks will be looking to bounce back from their 3-0 loss to Germany on the weekend which showed that they are not as good as they were in the last Euro Championships. Too many players out of form and doubt that there will be much between these two sides in the end Faroe Islands - Northern Ireland under 2.5 @ 1.90 pinnacle Faroe Islands have been hammered in their last 2 road games as they have lost 5-1 to Slovenia and 5-0 to Italy. And even though they lost 3-0 at home to Serbia, they allowed 2 early goals and the 3rd came in the 90th minute, so expect them to be much more competitive here against a Northern Ireland side that has beaten Slovenia 1-0 away and drawn 0-0 at home with Italy. They have a solid defence and will not give much away as the Italians experienced on the weekend, but wonder how much this game took it out of them, and believe they will come out flat for this game, as also some overconfidence might be felt. The Faroes have given teams like France problems in the past at home, and they will be up for a challenge here, and while the away side should edge this, doubt that it will be a massive win Germany -2.5 @ 1.90 pinnacle Germany were ruthless in their 3-0 win over Turkey on the weekend and now travel to Kazakhstan who have struggled in these qualifiers. They have lost 2-0 at home to Belgium, lost 2-0 away to Austria, and lost 3-0 at home to Turkey. They have problems in creating chances and expect them to be defending their goals for the whole game, while the Germans should make light work of them. The Germans have too much class here and like them to win this one easily Holland - Sweden over 2.13 pinnacle Holland were made to work in their 2-1 win over Finland in their only home game of these qualifiers, while they beat Moldova 1-0 on the weekend on the road and beat San Marino 5-0 away in their first qualifier. For all their attacking players, there are still question marks about their defence, which Finland showed can be broken down, and like Ibrahimovic and Toivonen to have their chances against them. While Sweden easily won 6-0 against San Marino and they have yet to concede so far, they too will be tested here against the likes of van der Vaart, Sneijder and Huntelaar who are all in good form. The two group favourites go for it here, and with Sweden not expected to win, believe they will attack from the outset to try and get a goal while the Dutch have the calibre of players to score on anyone Estonia - Slovenia over 2.5 @ 2.55 pinnacle Estonia will be on a massive high having beaten Serbia 3-1 on the road on the weekend and expect them to go out for the win yet again. They did lose 2-1 at home to Italy while they beat the Faroe Islands 2-1 also at home, so they have scored and conceded in each of their 3 qualifiers to date. Slovenia thumped the Faroe Islands 5-1 at home and drew 1-1 in Serbia prior to that, so they too have scored and conceded in their last 2 games. Both teams will be confident of victory and will go out to achieve this. Like both sides to score and then go out for the win, so the odds of the over is great value here Italy - Serbia over 2.5 @ 2.41 pinnacle Italy will be looking to stretch their lead in this group with their rivals here. While they drew 0-0 with Northern Ireland on the weekend, they had their chances to score and expect them to do so here against a Serbian side missing their main defender Vidic who is suspended for this game. Like Pazzini and Cassano to get some good chances to score as the Serbs looked out of place and with little motivation in their shock 3-1 loss at home to Estonia. While expect them to bounce back here, as the Serbs tend to play to their opposition (they did beat Germany in the World Cup), like their forwards to score on a less experienced Italian backline that what we are used to, with no old hands like Buffon or Nesta there. They have some good young players coming through but like the Serbs to bounce back and score at least one here as they need a win here to keep them within touching distance of the Italians. Some nice odds here of the over coming in, with two teams who can create and score goals France - Luxembourg under 3.5 @ 2.07 pinnacle France are starting to get some credibility and respectiability as they have beaten Bosnia-Hercegovina 2-0 and Romania 2-0 in their last two games after losing 1-0 to Balarus in their opening qualifier. They face a Luxembourg side that will defend for the whole game, and they have been much tougher of late, as they have drawn 0-0 at home with Belarus, lost 1-0 away to Albania while losing 3-0 at home to Bosnia-Hercegovina in their opening qualifier. Blanc has stated that he may experiment with this side with some new faces so while they should still win, it may not be as comfortable as expected. Like the odds that the away side does not allow more than 3 goals here as doubt that they will often venture forward to try to score, and prefer to sit back and soak up the pressure England - Montenegro under 2.5 @ 2.06 pinnacle Montenegro lead this group and come into this game having beaten Switzerland, Bulgaria and Wales all by the same score of 1-0. Their defence has been solid and they will be coming to this game to take a point, so expect them to park the bus here and aim to frustrate England, as their fickle supporters tend to get on their backs if they are not beating a side they are expected to beat comfortable. The longer they hold them out, the more frustrated the English will become which will suit them here. England's defence, though having lost some players like Terry to injury, do welcome back Ferdinand for some stability, so doubt that the away side will venture forward much. Montenegro to keep it tight while England may edge this in the end, doubt that there will be many goals in this game Portugal -1.5 @ 2.17 pinnacle Portugal had a very good win over Denmark on the weekend as Nani and Ronaldo both played well in the 3-1 win over them. Like them to back up their performances here as this Iceland side has been weakened with about 7 players who would have been playing, having been transferred to the under 21 squad. This leaves them light on options and like the Portuguese to take advantage of this situation

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October Sweden will miss important defender Mellberg, he got red card against San Marino :eyes Granqvist from Groningen or Jonas Olsson from West Brom will replace him. So a big loss here. I still think Sweden can manage a draw. They are much better under the new manager.

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October Kazakhstan have not started the new campaign well so far at home with two losses in 2 games (0-2, 0-3) and now face a very strong German side who although having Boateng out should be able to rely on Ozil which is a big plus. The factors going against Germany are 1.The kick off time is 11pm their time but Germany have been training at this time since arriving on Monday 2.Being played on an artificial pitch 3.The weather will be close to freezing at KO time and 4.Kazak's are coached by a German..his insights into the game make interesting reading though: 'Kazakhstan coach Bernd Storck is realistic about his side's chances tomorrow. In an interview with the German Football Association's website, he even implied that a shock win would not be good for his side. "This is a great opportunity for my players to learn and develop," he said. "We are getting a lesson and demonstration at the highest level. We want to keep the game open for as long as possible and will try to create one or two problems, but there is nothing more than that in it for us. "Germany are too stable. Results like the 2-1 win over Serbia in Euro 2008 qualifying make my job harder because they give people an unrealistic level of expectation. "I am here to build a young side so that we can be competitive in the future."' Kazak has not moved on in the last couple of years and if anything they are a worse side now, Germany are good enough at the back to keep out a side that has not scored against inferior sides Belgium and Turkey so far and I think there is a fair amount of value in the clean sheet for the German side, the bookies are all over the place with their pricing with Vic Chandler going as low as 1.12 for the German clean sheet, I think 1.4 would be about right so the 1.57 available looks good to me. Germany Clean Sheet 1.57 (paddypower)

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October Germany -2.5 AH vs Kazakhstan. 1.89 @ Pinnacle Total mis-match. No matter which team will be put out by Germany they will run all over Kazakhstan. Don't see any other way round here. Kazakhstan is yet to score in 3 matches and have conceded 7 goals. Germany quality wise shoulder above Kazakhs and should record a convincing win. England have a couple of players out injured but I don't think this weakens them too much in terms of creativity - it's widely reported that Young and Johnson will start in the wide positions, in my view these two are much more creative and able to unlock dfences than the simple speed merchants like Walcott and Lennon. The only problem is that with Crouch coming in for Bent, and where Defoe may have been, they will lack penetration in behind the defence, so they will rely heavilty on the wide men - luckily these two love to run at players and are two of the three form English players of the season so far, the other being Wilshere on the bench if they need a goal (along with Joe Cole). Montenegro +1.5 may be a decent bet, but I'm not so convinced by the lack of goals. I can see both teams scoring here.

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October I'm tempting to go for a double Holland & Serbia over, but I've just read that Sneijder and Van Bommel picked up injuries on last training and therefore finished it earlier.Even heard that Bayern wrote a letter to Dutch FA requesting that Van Bommel immediately go back to Munich so situation with Roben won't be happened again. Is there any of our Dutch friends who can tell me is this true?

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October Belarus vs Albania Under 2,5 - 1.67 @ Betfair I don't rate either team in this game but they are fairly similar in that the majority of their matches finish under because of their inability to score goals. The last six games Belarus have took part in have failed to go over whilst Albania's first three group games have all fell under the line. Scotland vs Spain Spain to win to Nil - 1.96 @ Betfair (Bet of the day) Theres a gulf in quality at Hampden tonight. Scotland were lucky to get the three points last time out, and that was against Luxembourg whilst in contrast Spain are looking to seal their qualification tonight with a win. Scotland do have the players to cause an upset but I can't see Spain having an off day in such an inportant situation.

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October

Moldova to win to nil @ 1.5 on betfair is also too big
Agree with your statement but there are better odds available. Skybet offer 1.72 for Moldova to keep a clean sheet which is too high imo, anyone who has watched San Marino recently will recognise they are prob the worst European nation of the last 50+ years..they can't defend or attack with any ability whatsoever and if anything are getting worse..the fact they are at home has obviously helped the odds and the fact they are playing Moldova but Moldova rarely get thumped and will be very motivated by the possibility of picking up a rare three points, San Marino will play for the draw but if Moldova score early they could go on to get a few, people will be put off this bet by the name 'Moldova' but make no doubts about it San Marino are one of the worst sides Internationally I have ever seen.

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October Ive gone for around 4 or 5 bets tonight but one i feel has quitre a good chance of happening with decent odds is an accumulator of over 2.5 goals on these games : San Marino vs Moldova France vs Luxembourg Kazakhstan vs Germany Holland vs Sweden Faroe Islands vs Northern Island This is 12/1 on the betfair site! The only game i feel is potentially going to have unders is the Holland game or maybe the NI match

Re: Euro 2012 > 12th October Armenia vs Andorra Under 2.5 goals @ 2.75 (Bodog) Believe it or not, I think Andorra are actually underrated, having watched their games against Macedonia and Ireland. They are learning to defend, and are now an organised side who is unlikely to ship goals unless they are playing top quality opposition. The Macedonia game could have ended 0-0 if not for the fact that Andorra lack height in their team; both goals came from corners were the Andorran's were simply outjumped. I have to confess I don't know a lot about Armenia, but from looking at their results (and watching the game against Ireland) I would say they are a team who prefers to be the underdog, and to attack on the break. Therefore I don't think they will have it all their own way against ultra-defensive tactics. The game against Ireland showed how reliant they are on their opponents attacking them; Ireland played cautiously and the result was a tense, closed game, ending 0-1. I expect them to win tonight, but something like 2-0, so the odds on offer here are quite a steal. Small stakes as I am no expert on Armenian football, however. San Marino vs Moldova Moldova to keep a clean sheet @ 1.72 (Skybet) I was going to tip Moldova to win to nil, but this find from Hastgill is naturally a better option. As has already been discussed, San Marino are very poor. Moldova are a tight, defensive side so I wouldn't rely on them to beat handicaps today; far better to go for the clean sheet in my opinion. In two past meetings with San Marino, Moldova only won 1-0 each time. I would expect a 0-2 or 0-3 scoreline tonight. Scotland vs Spain Spain -1 (AH) @ 1.68 (188bet) I really cannot see Scotland getting anything from this game against the World Champions. Scotland have been poor of late, and although I expect to see a much improved performance due to the occasion, crowd etc, it is very unlikely to be enough to stop a team as good as Spain. Scotland's manager has promised a more attacking line-up, but this will probably only mean one striker instead of 0! I fail to see Kenny Miller on his own causing too much problems to the Spanish defence, and at the other end of the pitch I think Spain's intricate, passing football will eventually wear Scotland out. I would predict a final score of 0-2.
