yeah, but if you watched it, Milkins got very lucky early on. Davis first frame a 61 break and pretty much missed a frame ball and goes 1-0 down and 2nd frame he was in and broke the reds and potted a colour to go 2-0 down so I wasn't too worried. Impressive to hit 4 in a row after the break.
  2. Thanks

Plenty of matches tomorrow then and a handful that I like, so straight into it. I start with Mark Davis to beat Milkins. Davis is playing pretty well right now and beat Ding last week before going out to the classy Sam Craigie. That was no shame in that defeat and he beat Milkins the last time they played.
In the afternoon matches, I like Gao Yang to beat Lilley. He beat Guodong to qualify for the German Masters last week and prior to that easily beat Hendry. Finally, in the evening, I'll take Jak Jones to beat the in-form Ken Doherty. Ken is playing some good patient snooker at the moment but Jak Jones is really playing some great stuff and has gone from strength to strength recently.
6pts Davis to beat Milkins 5/6 paddypower
6pts Yang to beat Lilley 5/6 paddypower
6pts Jones to beat Doherty 4/6 paddypower

1pt accy - Davis, Yang, Jones and Miah 10/1 paddypower (money back if one loses)

No 10am matches today or late ones. Just the 4 matches at 2.30pm
    2.30 :
    Vafaei Vs Higginson
    Wenbo Vs Hancorn
    Jianbo Vs Gilbert
    Peifan Vs Bingtao
Nothing really screams out to me today and we move straight into the European Masters Qualifiers tomorrow so there will be plenty of matches being played over the coming week and the only thing I'll do is a little accy to keep my interest in the day. A sucessful German Masters Qualification round.
2.5pts accy - Vafaei (-1.5 frames) / Lei (+2.5 frames) / Wenbo (-1.5 frames) / Jianbo (+2.5 frames) 9/1 paddypower (money back if one loses)

I can’t believe I didn’t tip up Vafaei tonight. Anybody who follows the snooker on here would know that most times in these kind of events I lay Ronnie in first round cause he just doesn’t bother. I got on vafaei at 1-0 but I should have tipped it up pre match.
let down by hallworth tonight. Went 1-0 up and missed frame ball for 2-0 then his head went. Lost the next 5. Really poor. Atleast pinches won earlier I suppose.
regarding evans, yeah, I backed evans because wenbo was just going for everything and she was getting a lot of chances but was unable to take them. Maybe next time

No, not stupid regardless of the result. Wenbo too short, if for no other reason than it's impossible to know in advance how he will cope with the female opponent factor. For that reason alone Evans is well worth a punt.

This event is the next on the darting calender and it gets underway on Friday. Here is the draw. It's a seeded player on the left and the 2 players battling it out to face him in the main draw :
    MVG Vs Kuivenhoven/Henderson
    Razma Vs Wade/King
    Clayton Vs Aspinall/Van Der Voort
    Price Vs De Zwaan/Van Duijvenbode
    -------------------------------------------
    Sherrock Vs Ratajski/Clemens
    Anderson Vs Zonneveld/Chisnall
Van Den Bergh Vs De Sousa/Noppert
    Wright Vs K/Huybrechts/M.Smith
That bottom half is WIDE open. Wright looks bang out of form at the Super Series. Anderson has question marks and De Sousa is very hit and miss so you could really give chances to anybody in that bottom half. In the Top half we have questionmarks over Clayton and Price really as both have had a small time away. Neither played at the Super Series and I'm not sure if that's a good thing or not. Price has been struggling with an elbow issue and although you would expect it to be a Price/Clayton QF, I'm always looking for some better value. Henderson could easily beat MVG in a one-off match and MVG, despite his massive averages is another one I'm not interested in. People just always raise their game against him.
I'm going to give a chance to Aspinall in the top half and I'll also have a punt on Van Duijvenbode. Both have been in fantastic form at the Super Series and both have winnable matches. DVD should beat De Zwaan and ASP should beat Van Der Voort. That will give them some "practice" before taking on Clayton and Price and both of those boys are coming in cold.
In the bottom half I'm happy to ignore Anderson and choke-artist Chizzy alone. Sherrock could quite easily make the QF in reality and I think I will take a small punt on her based on the others being out-of-form. She's just won back-to-back "women's super series" and she will be buzzing for this. Why not? Other than that, I liked Noppert pre super-series and his form was awful there. Will he raise it again for the bigger tournaments? hard one to know. Kim Huybrechts is worth an each-way shout. Bang in form, made the latter stages of a couple of Super Series and has beaten MVG along the way.
    2pts e/w N.Aspinall to win WSOD 28/1 boosted paddypower
    -----------------------------------------------------------------
    1pt e/w D. Noppert to win WSOD 40/1 paddypower
1pt e/w D. Van Duijvenbode to win WSOD boosted 75/1 paddypower
    1pt e/w K. Huybrechts to win WSOD 75/1 paddypower

-4pts today then with just King beating Ding @ 5/2 thanks to some questionable shot selection from Yupeng. Tomorrow's matches then :
    10am :
    Slessor Vs Jianbo
    Gilbert Vs Grace
    Peifan Vs Vahedi
    Bingtao Vs Zifan
    2:30pm :
    Davis Vs Craigie
    Stevens Vs Doherty
    Pinches Vs Astley
    Carty Vs Selby
    7pm :
    O'Sullivan Vs Vafaei
    Hallworth Vs Higginson
    Wenbo Vs Evans
    O'Brien Vs Hancorn
Two that I like tomorrow and first up it's old boy Barry Pinches to beat Astley. Annoyingly, I was tempted to back Pinches to beat Jamie Jones but I didn't in the end and ofcourse he did and with 3 50+ breaks against a guy hitting 2 centuries and 2 50+ breaks and he still won. Astley beat Holt from 2-0 down to win 5-3 but his one break above 50 was his biggest (51) and he's coming off of the back of 1st round exits at the Scottish Open (4-1 Lee Walker) & the NI Open (4-2 A.Taylor)
The second bet in the evening will be Hallworth to beat Higginson. Hallworth is abit of a streaky player but he's in decent form at the moment and Higginson is the opposite. 4-0 whitewash against Gould at the English Open, and a 4-3 loss to lowly ranked Ajaib 4-3 at the NI Open too. He also went out in R1 of the British Open to make it 3/3 from the start of the season. I will also take Hallworth on a handicap in an accy

meanwhile Yupeng could have easily tucked up Murphy and didn't use his brain. Such an easy shot. Last red ball on cushion and he was on the colours. Simple tuck up and now he's going to lose it.
