Think we gave Mark a good send off today. Standing room only for the service with quite a lot of poker friends travelling up to Yorkshire and a lovely eulogy from Vince Eley (of the Bridkid games). They are planning a memorial live game later in the year.
We left him with a pack of cards, so no doubt he's already on a new winning streak and singing along to Elvis's Viva Las Vegas.

I first met Mark with Donna through Avon, but we quickly discovered we shared a common interest in poker. I believe he was already a member here at the time but I think soon after that he started to be a regular poster and he became stalwart of the poker forum.  He had an enormous talent for poker and was a prolific player. Regrettably with PL changing forum platforms we have lost all the old awards data, but I am certain Mark would be the most winning MVP player we have ever had.  And as Dan says, he also took the time to encourage and support other players, and put his money behind many staking requests.
 
RIP ooblio, this place is the poorer for you not being here.

Euro Football 2016 Poker Tournaments
Place bets on Euro Championship matches and win a share of €25,000
  If you’re planning to bet on the football action this summer, we have a poker promotion to help you earn some free money at the same time. If you’re new to the game then be sure to also check out our tutorial videos in order to take advantage of your full Poker welcome offer.
We will be running two exclusive tournaments each day there are Euro Championship matches taking place this summer, and you can earn a free ticket simply by placing bets on the matches that day. Bet before the evening match to win a ticket for the Half-time Flip and bet during the match to win a ticket for the Full-time freeroll.
The tournaments
These exclusive tournaments will take place on the following dates:
11th – 22nd June 25th – 27th June 30th June – 3rd July 6th – 7th July 10th July On each of the selected dates, the following tournaments will take place:
Euro Freerolls Tournament Time (BST) Prizepool How to qualify Half-time Flip 20:55 €500 Place a bet of €5 or more on Euro Championship matches between 00:00 and 19:59 that day Full-time Freeroll 22:00 (30 mins late reg) €500 Place a bet of €5 or more on Euro Championship matches between 20:00 and 22:30 that day In Half-time Flips, each player receives 1 chip and all players are all-in until all payout positions have been decided – these tournaments generally take less than 5 minutes to complete. Full-time Freerolls will be regular poker tournaments where all players receive 3,000 chips at the start and blinds increase every 5 minutes. Players will have to manually register for each tournament using a ticket they have earned – tickets can be found by clicking on ‘View Profile’ in the Poker lobby.
We’ll also be kicking things off with a special €10 MTT at 22:00 BST on 10th June. This tournament is open to all players and has €2,000 in cash added to the prizepool. The Half-time Flip and Full-time Freeroll will also have their prizepools increased to €1,000 each on 10th July

Given the clamour for a re-vote after the UK voted to leave the European Union in the recent referendum, we thought we’d do a re-run at 32Red Poker of our special €500 Referendum Freerolls!
The first time, when we asked players to ‘vote’ by playing in either the Remain or Leave tournament, our unique opinion poll saw the Leave contingent being the biggest. Perhaps the national pollsters should have sought our advice…
There’s been a lot of controversy and confusion since the monumental result, so we’re giving you another chance to share your thoughts – not forgetting another opportunity to win your share of €1,000 in prizes. Register now for Remain or Leave: Part 2, and log on to play when the tournaments begin at 8pm (UK time) on Sunday 3rd July.
Remember to play in only one tournament (a number of players entered both last time, thus forfeiting their right to a prize). Do you still have the same opinion now?
