  1. Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Nov 14-15

Finished 1 nil Hemel! Great tip, thanks Ship :). Will definitely be reading these threads from now on! I had £200 on the double chance pre game, then another £70 in-play. They missed a penalty in the 40th minute though, would have saved me the £70 i put on in the second half. Cant complain with £730 though.
Yes well done. You did the right thing in laying off as well as it could easily have gone the other way. Glad we have picked up another reader of our stuff as well.
  2. Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Nov 14-15 Bet 365 have an in play diary on their website with a list of all events they bet in play on so just check that in future. I noticed that Skybet and Paddy Power were also betting in play on the Hyde game last night. I think you would be a little bit stupid not to lock in some profit now you have got yourself into this position. Its not everyday you get the chance to win a grand for a fiver so you you know have the chance to make sure you win something at least and you dont end up with just losing the fiver. Id still be happy with £700 or however much you decide to lay off for a fiver if Hemel do win.

Nothing you can do unless you put on a pair of boots' date=' drive to Hinckley and score the winner....that's the way it goes sometimes....[/quote'] I should have done that lol. I would have felt more annoyed if Hyde had battered them and not have won but the way the game has gone the result is a fair one. Right bet wrong result. In context of the whole season it hasnt done much damage to my profits so Il take the rest of the week off and look to bounce back on Saturday.

Bugger. The post made sense just Hyde couldn't deliver. I just noticed England U21 lost to. Not sure if you follow NFL but green bay -13 looks good tonight yet @ 1.90. Everyone is raving on about them. Havnt bet just yet but looks good:ok
I know Ive done the right thing in having the bet but it doesnt always mean you will get paid off. I knew when the 18yo went in goal that they probably wouldnt win because everything was just looking too good. I noticed that around £50000 was matched on betfair in running on the game. Hopefully at the end of the season those dropped points will help Stalybridge win the league and I will get the money back then.
  5. Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Nov 14-15 Id imagine they are BIP on those games? If not it might be because there is little football so they just stick anything that is going on. Not sure they would be taking much money on the Corby v Dagenham youth game though or the rest for that matter. News from Hinckley is that the Hyde team coach hasnt reached the ground yet.

Great write up as always. Think you might of misread the h'cap odds though' date=' Hinckley 5/6 +1 with BS, Hyde 2/1.[/quote'] Yep you are right I thought it was odd that it was that price I must admit and I should have looked more carefully. To be honest I wouldnt put anyone off that either as I can see Hinckley getting rather leg weary as the game goes on.
  7. Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Nov 14-15 Hinckley v Hyde Just the one bet for me this week but what a cracking bet it looks. As I wrote on Saturday Hyde and Stalybridge look different class to the rest of the Blue Square North and after Saturday's results the two of them have pulled even further clear. It was a solid performance from Hyde as they beat a Boston side, who played well, 2-0. Whilst that was going on Hinckley were producing yet another storming performance in the FA Cup against Tamworth. The thing is not only is their league form nowhere near as good, they of course had to play for most of the second half with 10-men. In the league they have lost four out of their last five and they put in a very tame performance against Workington in their last league game. Saturday's performance must have taken a huge amount out of the players and I'm sure conceding an equaliser so late on hasn't helped matters either. Just over 48 hours later they have to host the team currently top of their league. Even in normal circumstances I would have fancied Hyde at 5/6 (Betfred) so with everything added together I make Hyde a very strong bet at those odds. It is worth noting as well that that they are as short as 8/13 with Coral.

  8. Re: England > Weekend FA Cup > 11th - 13th November

Telford ' date= 2.80 888 , 10 units I don't know any reason for this big odd on Telford's win , other than their poor results in Conference. But since I listen to most of their games radio coverage I can tell you they are playing much better that their results would suggest. They should've had at least 8 points more so far , but they somehow manage to not score and concede in games they dominate. They are motivated to go through to the next round and they have the quality to go even into the third round if they are lucky in the draw. Chelmsford got this far thanks to a last minute goal in previous round. They will have the home advantage , but Telford actually play with more confidence on road than they do at home. I'm expecting a confident win here for Telford and I would strongly suggest betting on Telford -1.5.
That last minute goal was against my team. They arent anything special and their home form isnt much cop although they are unbeaten since the start of September. I certainly hope Telford win.
  9. Re: England > Non League > 12th - 13th November Kingstonian v Carshalton Athletic This Ryman Premier game takes place on Sunday afternoon and hopefully it can top off a profitable weekend. I went to watch Carshalton in action last Saturday in the FA Trophy and they impressed me when beating Cirencester 3-1. The report from the game and from reading the fans forum suggests that it was their best performance of the season so far which doesn’t surprise me given they have been pretty inconsistent. Apparently the formation was different from usual and it really worked with both wingers looking very dangerous. They seemed a side who would be capable of giving any team at this level a game and it would be no surprise to me if they didn’t climb the table sooner rather than later. Their hosts have improved after a shocking start but they lost again on Wednesday night to the Met Police. If Carshalton can keep up the level of performance I witnessed I think they are overpriced at 2/1 (Bet 365) to gain three points.

  10. Re: England > Weekend BSP, North & South > 12th - 14th November Ebbsfleet v Stockport This is the only game in the Blue Square Premier this weekend and although I would have been more confident had Didi Hamann still been Stockport manager, I am still happy to back the home side. I don’t think Hamann had any choice but to resign given everything that was going on at the club and, as I have said on here before, I felt the fact they had been drawing so many games was just papering over the cracks. There is a possibility they might pick up straight away as I do think Hamann was holding them back a little but I mainly think that things won’t improve until a new man comes in. They travel to an Ebbsfleet side who, if you ignore their FA Cup exit to Redbridge, are in flying form. They are unbeaten in their last five and bounced back from that very surprising cup defeat to beat Newport last weekend. Coral are biggest at 7/5 and I think there is enough in that price to warrant an interest. Boston v Hyde Hyde failed for me again in midweek when they could only beat Blyth Spartans 1-0. They really should have added to that lead although they got very sloppy in the second half and were actually lucky to even win the game in the end. They do look a decent bet though on Saturday to beat Boston. I saw Boston earlier in the season and they looked a very average side and I think it says a lot about the Blue Square North this season that they are as high as they are in the league. They lost to a Solihull side last Saturday who are nothing special and they are now facing the top of the table. I think Hyde and Stalybridge are a cut above the rest of the league this season and given the Hyde manager was critical of the second half on Monday night I think the Hyde players will be out to put things right. They have been missing their two best players in Scott Spencer and Ryan Crowther through injury but I suspect at least one, if not both, will be back to face Boston. 13/10 is a generally available and it looks a big price to me on an away three points.
