Looked quite impressive when winning on debut at Lingfield, jockey said afterwards that he was a useful sort and a first time out victory was expected. He did in god style and I see no reason why he cant go on from that and defy his penalty here. Its a long way from Lingfield up to Carlisle but it may be a good decision as I cant see any first time out possibles here.

Rydan.....from Gary Moore yard the 6yo has won three times from 1m 2f to 1m 4f on good to firm and good ground and on the all-weather. The yard after a short break after turf racing sent him in a AW program at Lingfield from December till February he had the four runs all over 1m 4f placed in 3 races and 5th in other race,

His last run was 104 days ago in his last AW race when he finished 3rd , The yard have been using a visor for 15 races but tonight there taking the visor off and stepping up in distance for first time to 1m 6f , Jockey Tom Queally is back in saddle and knows the horse well

Well backed last time out but was thwarted by Sizing Solution who got first run on him. He re-opposes here on similar terms but wont make the same mistake twice. The selection also has a visor on for the first time and will appreciate this slightly longer trip also.

Testa Rossa ...from Jim Goldie yard the 7yo was brought down here soon after the AW track was open and made a name for himself winning four times in seven races at track and handicapper putting him up from 60 to 80 after the 4th win , one of those AW win came at start of this year and followed that up with a win at Ayr two months ago , He runs off 79 today 13 days after a run at Hamilton 1m 0.5 lengths Good to Firm when 6th of 8 runners beaten 8 lengths , the yard bring in young Sam James in to ride who been on horse before getting a 3rd place finish , "

Thundering Home....from Richard Mitchell yard the 10yo been a good servant for yard he just loves to run and yard keep him on the go with a least one run every month , He has won nine hurdle races from 1m 7f to 2m 3f on ground varying from good to firm to heavy,

His last run was 18 days ago at Newton Abbot over 2m 1f (good) when he finished 5th of 16 runners when Muffins For Tea beat him by 15 lengths with S Sheppard in the saddle , The yard bring Alice Mills back in to ride who been on him the 5 races before that last run ,Alice won three times on him from the five times in saddle and also gets a 5lb allowance

Dan Skelton's youngster has been running with great credit against some top horses and could have found a nice opportunity to finally get his head in front over fences. He was second to Clan Des Obeaux and then filled the same spot behind Royal Vacation and last time was 3rd to Might Bite at Aintree. His opening mark of 142 looks fair and with the yard in form I expect him go well here.

PS. There a lovely nudist beach at Cote D’Azur seeming the biggest in Europe that was about 30 years ago when I was there camping next door to it with my family
