Probably due to the fact that I put the bet on the night before when the market hadn't properly formed. I'm on a Stag weekend.

I whacked a load of money on at 1.37 when England went down to 14.  ??

There's times when you bet at short odds and feel hard done by when you hit a loser, but I really can't argue with that result. Possibly the worst bet I've had on this entire thread. Betting on a goal in a match where neither team really had any incentive to score - City because they were so far ahead, and Sporting because they were so far behind was never going to be a good idea. 
I can't even say it was a bad bet with hindsight - it was a bad bet to begin with and if it had somehow won would have been a good example of a bad bet winning, in contrast with plenty of bets that I've placed that I was happy were good but lost.

Nothing untoward meant . I was waiting for a goal myself.

I seem to remember one or two threads going back over the years where 'points' were being used. I always gave more creedence to a selection if there was money involved as there would seem to be no real interest as to whether the bet wins or not. Nothing to lose so they can go gung ho,

Other people looking in on a thread may see the term 'points' and make their own assumption. They are less likely to take an interest in your posts because of this.

If 5 bets were done at the same time, possible on a Saturday, they would count as 5 separate bets ( I've done a few Saturday bets for a goal that would have had several 3pm kick offs ). The order they were posted in, if KO was the same time, would determine how many of the winners could be added to a total in the event of one being a losing selection.
As the consecutive bets league is really about numbers, the whole thing is effectively a rolling accumulator anyway.
My current run is mainly about doubling up the stake with a number of bets. The fact that they are also managing to win and therefore getting to bigger numbers is merely a side product if you wish, as are a few other bets/threads on the forum.

I've always felt that the old 'gut feeling' is worth some form of consideration.

It's been that way since I started doing it 30 years ago................I thought nobody would notice. ?

Pleasantly surprised to get this at better than the 1/100 minimum for consecutive bets purposes.

The stake for the second bet is roughly what I expect to be adding when the first bet wins. It's easy to estimate and I usually add a bit more anyway.
