  1. Re: Sure-win using sports arbitrage In my mind it only seems worth arbing if you have serious money to use and are able to do so. Then when you factor in limits that reduces the advantage in using lots of money. I dont have the money and it all seems like a lot of hassle for minimal gains. Plus if I do get unstuck then it could be messy.

  2. Re: Uefa Champions League 15/16 September We may not have known how they would play, but we all could guess that they would defend like hell. A team like liverpool should beat the handicap every day against a team like that, they were simply uninspiring. Just awful. I think it is embarassing and it was a waste of 90 mins of my life watching it - not to mention some money.

  3. Re: Uefa Champions League 15/16 September

Hello everybody. Here's a special bet i've picked: Liverpool - Debrecen : asian over 2,5 cards during the match @ 1,90 bet365. I think this is a value bet since the Hungarian players could have hard problems in stopping the muvh higher skilled Torres, Gerrard, Benayoun, Kuyt...The referee named for this match has an average of 3,6 cards given for each international match he has directed. Good luck to everyone, I hope my way to write english can be understood by all of you.
Good English, and an interesting bet too. Hopefully it will come in for you.
  4. Re: Uefa Champions League 15/16 September

Im not sure who Liverpool are sticking out on the Field here though..That could be the only stumbling block. Full team could be out for a stretch' date=' and run around to get ready for the West HAm game at the weekend. Or Rafa might leave out Gerrard, Torres and a few others for this game. IF Liverpool have a full team out, then its not going to be difficult racking up 5 goals is it, and the -1, -2, -3 goals are probo all good calls.. All hinges on whos in the starting line up.[/quote'] Yeah, I am not looking at it as a nail on - but the big boys should start at least and hopefully grab 1 or 2 before going off and then letting the rest finish the job. If it seems as though I am trying to write the perfect script for tonights match, that's because I am.
  5. Re: Uefa Champions League 15/16 September Here we are again! Had a pretty good evening last night as did many of us. It would have really kicked off for me if Juve had held their 1-0 lead. I feel a little bit drained from the anticipation I had in last nights games so I am taking it a little easier tonight. Im on Liverpool -2.5 for obvious reasons really. I hope Liverpool will come out with a high tempo looking to well and truly settle this game. The handicap is a little high, but I'll take it medium stakes. With this in mind I am also on Gerrard anytime scorer at 10/11. I have an incling that Inter barca will go under 2.5 but as of yet I have not backed it.

  6. Re: Uefa Champions League 15/16 September I certainly didnt like the look of today's games anywhere near as much as yesterday's so I will not be doing too much tonight. I really am not that sure what to do. I dont think I will be backing anyone big 1x2 but I may do a couple of over/under, namely Inter vs. Barca Under and Lyon vs. Fiorentina Over. What I have already done is Gerrard anytime scorer at 10/11, and a little bit on Yossi at 12/5.

  7. Re: Uefa Champions League 15/16 September

Was hoping to go big on Chelsea but the absence of Drogba has put me off that a bit. I will go for Chelsea, but only if Porto are missing one of their front two, which may be a possibility, as Hulk has only played two of their four games this season. I'll have myself mentally prepared just incase and go: Big on DNB Chelsea 1.13 (Betfair) Otherwise, I'll stick £100 on Liverpool to win and use the £10 from that on a promising looking acca: Man United 1.53 Real Madrid (-1) 1.85 Bayern Munich 1.45 Liverpool (-1) 1.36 Lyon 1.80 Total odds: 10.09 If you want my reasons, just read what all the good folks on here have said about these games, thus far :)
This all seems like a lot of hassle. 1.13!? I would avoid that entirely, as well as Liverpool at 1/10. Just do your accy or whatever and avoid these two bets because of value alone.
  8. Re: Uefa Champions League 15/16 September Juventus vs. Bordeaux I really, really like the look of this seasons Juve team. They have quality all over the pitch and a fair amount of strength in depth. They have met every challenge placed before them so far this season, with impressive wins over both sides in Rome. I am actually on Juve to win the entire competition at 20/1 and see good value in it. Up against them is the reigning Ligue 1 champions Bordeaux. They have a fairly talented squad, and I would consider them to be one of the better second-rate teams in the competition. They did make rather hard work of beating Grenoble at the weekend but they do have some talented players (gourcuff and Goufrann in particular). I do not have any solid team news yet, but I do know that Diego is the only important missing for Juve. I however am really hoping in his absence that Giovinco can show us his best after his outburst. As far as I know, Bordeaux's main players (gourcuff, gouffran, wendel, chamach) are all ok. I think Juve will be too strong and I dont think we will see 4/7 on them at home too many times in the future. Medium/High stakes. Besiktas vs. Man united This needs little or no write up, as everyone on here already knows this is a lovely price. I took this bet as soon as I saw the prices up. Man United look to be hitting form with a 3-1 beating of spurs. besiktas are in poor form losing 3-0 to galatasaray at the weekend. No key missings for United as far as I know, and no besiktas team news would affect my mind. High stakes on Man U at 4/7 (365) I also put some money on them -1 at 2.00 (365) Maccabi Haifa vs. Bayern Munich Bayern are also a team I really like the look of. Going forward they look to have one of the best teams in Europe. With Gomez in between Robben and Ribery you are guranteed goals. there are some questions over their defence, although I would be surprised if Maccabi were to expose them. Bayern put on an excellent display after going 1-0 down to Dortmund, to come back and win 5-1. I always like backing teams that look to have goals in them. team news looks good for Bayern as they look to have the same team as at the weekend, only Ribery may feature more prominently. I am confident in a Munich win here at 1/2 with high stakes, and also like them to beat a -1 handicap at 1.80. Werder Bremen vs. CSKA Moscow I also quite like the German side here. Again a side with plenty of goals in them on their day. they have not been going well of late, and I think they will view this as a good chance to get back on track. CSKA are not the side they once were. They have a good 'keeper in Akinfeev, but the loss of vagner love must be felt. He was their go to man up front. I see them as a decent side, but I do see a clear gap in overall quality between the sides. The trio of Misimovic, Dzeko and grafite should get the job done for Wolfsburg. Medium stakes on Wolfsburg at 4/5 (365) I tend to favour Bet365, so you may find slightly better odds elsewhere.

  9. Re: Uefa Champions League 15/16 September Initially without any team news of course I am going to go out and do a Man Utd and Bayern double. Not much reasoning required for this really. Both teams seem far superior and although Turkey can be a tough-ish place to go to I can't see Man U not winning. Wolfsburg at home seem tempting at 4/5, though I will wait and see over that one.

  11. Re: World Cup Qualifiers - September 9/10

Looks like Argentina will be without Teveaz and Macherano so Paraguay have good chance to win here.
A word of caution. Yes Tevez will not be playing. this is because he is being dropped in favour of Aguero (a better player in my opinion) or perhaps Lisandro. I am not sure about Mascherano missing. Even if he is, he has not been playing well for Argentina recently although would probably be missed.
  12. Re: World Cup Qualifiers - September 9/10 I am looking at Italy vs. Bulgaria under 2.5 at 4/5 (365). I have had a rough time supporting Italy of late. A woeful showing at Euro 2008, followed by a worse showing at the confed cup. I have absolutely no faith it Giladino or Laquinta up front, even less when camoranesi is the creative element of the midfield. The formation is all wrong, as is a lot of the squad selection. An extremely impotent showing against georgia leaves me not even wanting to watch this game. I doubt whether Bulgaria will be able to score against us, even if they do I wouldnt put much faith in Italy scoring 2 so ill take this medium stakes. WAKE UP OR LEAVE LIPPI!
