  1. Re: World Cup Qualifiers - September 9/10 I will once more put myself out there for the International games. Not much strikes me at the moment. I have already jumped on Holland at 13/10 (365) as much as I would like scotland to win. Over in Bosnia Turkey looks good at 4/5, as does Italy Bulgaria under, at the same price. I may even go small on Serbia to beat france.

  2. Re: International World Cup 2010 Qualifying September 5th/6th

France vs Romania My bets are : Romania X2 (2.50) France not to score (5.35) Half time X (2.50) NO. of goals 0-1 (3.40)
Thanks Lucio, you planted the half-time draw in my mind and I took it up. It seems to have gone well with my Under 2.5 goals. Same old France eh? I read a match review and it sounds like I was bloody lucky for both these to come in. Such luck was much needed on a day of near misses.
  3. Re: International World Cup 2010 Qualifying September 5th/6th There hasn't been too much talk about the south american qualifiers so I am going to provide the bets I will be taking. I am going to tread carefully as I always do with any bet South American in nature. Peru vs. Uruguay - Peru have simply been awful this campaign. They have won only one game from fourteen and sit bottom of the pile. Uruguay have been inconsistent so far, but they do have a talented side. Technically gifted as you would expect with Forlan and Suarez the stars. As far as team news goes, I believe that Peru are without Farfan and Pizzaro. As for Uruguay Forlan is suspended. This is a loss no doubt but Cavani is a very talented player and has started well this season for Palermo. He and Suarez should provide enough edge. I will take Uruguay to win this match at 4/5 as they ultimately need the points a lot more than Peru do and this should be enough motivation. Argentina vs. Brazil - There is not much that I need to say about these two teams as we all know them well. It will be fiercely contested and the quality on display is astounding. In truth this match could go any way possible. Brazil have been very solid at the back recently and Dunga has instilled a methodical approach not associated with the selecao. Argentina need the points desperatly in order to ensure passage to the WC. There are no key missings really, Messi and Kaka both play with numerous players backing them up. I am going to punt for a draw at 23/10 as I think it will be incredibly tight. I would lean towards less goals than you may imagine but I would love to watch a 4-4 thriller. Not big stakes on either as all teams can be tempremental from this continent.

  4. Re: International World Cup 2010 Qualifying September 5th/6th

Suprised no ones mentioned Uruguay yet. Peru have lost their last 7 internationals (only one of which was a friendly) and are bottom of the qualifying group (10th) with 7 points from 14 games. There is also a less than positive mood in the camp with player bans and conflicts (no Farfan or Pizarro), they only have 6 players in the squad playing in Europe and (no disrespect to non-european football) they can't expect to do well. Uruguay on the other hand are currently 6th and need to pick up a few wins if they are to qualify for the world cup. They have Forlan and Ajax's Suarez (who has been on fire this season) up front and I think they will have too much for Peru. Yeah, this is a good bet in my eyes. Although Forlan is actually suspended for the Peru game Uruguay still have enough quality with Cavani likely to replace Forlan up front. They need the points to assure qualification and Peru have been hopless. Ill be taking this heavily (providing the england U21 win today)

mutu won't play and that's a fact.without his best striker at this moment' date='Romania only hope is a draw, but i dont't think will get it.i'd even try a france victory with -1 handicap[/quote'] I would be very wary to bet on France with the handicap. Without Mutu Romania do lose a lot but this is still France we are talking about. Romania have a solid enough defence and will work hard. Minus Mutu Romania probably cannot win, but I'd go for Under 2.5 goals.
  6. Re: Football H'cap System Nice, I like playing the AH particularly and I don't know too much about lower league English football so all I shall do is follow your progress. You don't fancy the under 21's to beat Macedonia on the H'cap? Having said that the odds wouldnt be great at -1. Best of luck.

  7. Re: International World Cup 2010 Qualifying September 5th/6th France vs. Romania - No matter what the squad - or starting 11 for that matter - France never impress me. I cannot remember the last time I was left feeling excited having watched France play. They seem to hate playing in France, and the fans get on their back within 20 minutes if they are not impressed. I would look to lay France in this match as I see it being the same slow tempo matches they always are. I will again take it easy, and small stakes on Romania or draw.

  8. Re: International World Cup 2010 Qualifying September 5th/6th Hmmm, I do not really like International weekends but I feel compelled to bet at least something. Scotland vs. Macedonia. - Although I am loathe to bet on as poor a footballing side as Scotland I have the feeling that they will just about take this match. It wont be easy and certainly wont be pretty, but I think they can grind out the points in front of a crazy home crowd. Looking at the squad they seem to have enough guile to do so, but I am going to tread carefully at 8/11. I am not sure if Pandev is in squad for away side (I presume so), if so he is a danger. May be slightly better odds elsewhere as I only really use 365.

  9. Re: Outrights - Champs Leauge & Europa Considering any one of a number of teams could come out winning the trophy at the end of the season I dont really like to get involved too much. Having had a look I think Juve are better than their 20/1 price. They have a top class team and I expect will do much better than Arsenal priced at 8/1.
