  1. Re: Tennis:ATP/WTA New Haven 23-29 August Dent over Kunitsyn @ 5/6 Dent trying to re-gain some form after many poor losses this year.A good straight sets win over Ljubicic in last round was good for him...served pretty well and didn't give Ljubicic a whole lot of chances.Kunitsyn coming from Cincinnatti where he lost to Davydenko. It'a a 50:50 match but happy to side with Dent here. GL!

Berdych/Nadal over 21.5 games @ 5/6 Looks a good bet.Rafa slowly returning to form after couple of wins over Seppi and Mathieu but still not returning as well as he can and leaving many short balls.Berdych unlike those two has the big serve and has power game to hurt Nadal at times.Berdych actually leads Nadal 3-1 on hard surface with one of those wins coming in Cincinnati in 2005.Never know what you get with Berdych but I think he can make this tight. Murray/Benneteau under 19.5 games @ 5/6 Murray is the form player right now.Looking very good going into US Open - little slow adjusting to faster surface against Almagro but very good since with comfortable win over Stepanek.Don't think Benneteau has weapons to hurt murray and he will probably be delighted to have got to Masters 1/4 final. He will certainly lose but hoping Murray makes it comfortable.
    WIN LOSS
  3. Re: Tennis: ATP/WTA Montreal & Cincinnati Aug 8-23 Thinking strongly about backing Simon to beat Djokovic aswell. It's 5/2 at Ladbrokes...watched Djokovic last night against Chardy and his shots didnt seem to be penetrating, alot in the middle of the court. But he was returning very well.Simon is a classic defensive pusher and seems to be getting some form back.Maybe he takes this one. Though the overs market is probably the safer way to go.

Hewitt over Querrey @ 4/5 Hewitt looks very comfortable here in Cincinnati. After disappointing performance against JCF last week in Montreal, he's come here and played well - comfortable win over Becker and ground down Soderling in opening round.Has good record here aswell.Querrey has had good few weeks in America and took full advantage of a sluggish Roddick last night. His serve is a weapon here on fast surface but Hewitt is a very good returner and can grind him down. Will be tight but hope Hewitt can take this. Berdych over Guccione @ 2/3 Guccione having a great run here beating Tsonga,Kohlschreiber and some qualifiers aswell. All matches are tight though and alot of tie-breaks.Berdych has the game to play well on hard surface but is also very inconsistent.Think he is a much better player and can take this one. Berdych/Guccione over 23.5 games @ 5/6 Fancy Berdych to win but this could be a tight match and maybe one tie-break or two.Over 23.5 looks a good bet in this match. Also considering over 20.5 in Federer match and Sharapova but may just leave those ones. Good Luck!
    WIN WIN LOSS...:ok

Acasuso +5.5 games over Federer @ 5/6 Looks like good handicap here.Federer not really himself in these tournaments, early rounds he could start a bit slow.Acasuso not really at his best on hard but has some big shots and can hold serve hopefully.Fully expect Federer win but Acasuso can make it tight. Roddick/Querrey over 22.5 games @ 5/6 This also looks good. Both have had some good runs in recent tournaments and have strong service games.Roddick has had a few long, tough matches losing Washington final and semis in Montreal both to Del Potro and may not be as fresh this week.Think this match could have two long sets or go to three. GL!

Lost with JCF yesterday but try and get back winning today. Melzer over Lopez @ Evens Looks a 50/50 match and bookies agree but make Lopez slight fave so I am happy to take Melzer as slight underdog. Both were beaten early last week in Montreal and neither are in great form.Melzer was showing some good things on clay a few weeks ago while Lopez has been pretty poor bar winning a challenger event in Spain.Melzer leads head to head 2-1 with his two wins coming on American hardcourts..however all their matches have been tight.Probably be the same today but happy to side with Melzer. Might see more later. GL!
WIN.:ok Phew...how many match points did he miss there...3 I think.

  11. Re: Tennis: ATP/WTA Montreal & Cincinnati Aug 8-23 Just taking one today: Ferrero over Cilic @8/13 Ferrero playing very well.Very consistent and dominating points with his accurate forehand/backhand.Looked great beating Hewitt and Monfils last week before falling to Murray but he still fought hard in that match.Cilic looks off form to me, many unforced errors against Youzhny last week and against Devvarman in Washington. Also has 0-2 record in Cincinnatti while JCF has performed well here in the past.Think he takes this one. GL!

  12. Re: Tennis: ATP/WTA Montreal & Cincinnati Aug 8-23

Murray to win Montreal Masters @ 4/5 Playing very well. His price today is really low vs Tsonga and he'll be a fave against either Roddick/Del Potro if he gets through (maybe 2/5 or 1/2) so feel now is the time to get on Murray.Serving well, defending brilliantly, consistent from the baseline and playing with good tactics using the slice at good moments.Certainly his best surface by a distace and the big servers aren't having as much joy on slower surface here so think Murray will take the title. GL!
    Good man Murray.:ok
  13. Re: Tennis: ATP/WTA Montreal & Cincinnati Aug 8-23 I'd side with Roddick also to be honest.Great win for Del Potro last night but Roddick has also looked great against Verdasco and Djoker.A few points will probably swing this one either way.Not gonna back it. Murray will certainly win I'd say.Tsonga not really a great match-up for him and can cause problems if he's not hitting many unforced errors and serves well, but Murray will frustrate him with his consistency.I'd say murray in two but possibly three if Tsonga takes a tie-break. Just doing one more bet until next week's master's begins: Murray to win Montreal Masters @ 4/5 Playing very well. 14. Re: Tennis: ATP/WTA Montreal & Cincinnati Aug 8-23 Agree betman on Clijsters/Safina match...looks to be the bet of the day for me: Clijsters over Safina @ 5/6 Kim playing very well this week winning against 3 tough opponents especially against Kuznetsova.Defending well and hitting winners on forehand side.As betman said, serve is not the best but most parts of her game are working well.Safina seems to be struggling a bit - Vinci had her in first round and she lost early last week to Zheng in LA...had a win in Portoroz but the field was very weak.Kim has the weapons to move her around the court and that's her biggest weakness.Might go to 3 sets but I think Clijsters can take this. Really liking Del Potro's odds against Nadal but he seemed to be struggling with his shoulder against Hanescu and looked a little jaded at times.Rafa not really tested yet but will be today.Think this is a no bet. Good Luck!

  15. Re: Tennis: ATP/WTA Montreal & Cincinnati Aug 8-23 Missed your JCF tip Repunt - was caught in two minds on that match but he played brilliantly.Well done all yesterday! Had good day with two Hanescu bets coming in at good prices and refund on Rafa's match.Plus got text from friend saying to take Peng later in the day so stuck some on her too and she won. Not sure today...tend to bet for the sake of it after winning a bit so maybe just watch today. Tsonga over Simon catches the eye but havent watched Simon at all this week and Tsonga was pretty average against Rainer. Also Davydenko over Gonzalez looks tasty...Davy in great form.Maybe the overs in Jankovic/Azarenka as this will probably be tight two or three sets. Have a closer look later but might leave it :ok

  16. Re: Tennis: ATP/WTA Montreal & Cincinnati Aug 8-23 Some tight losses already this week so hopefully luck changes today: Rafa/Ferrer over 21.5 games @ 5/6 Looks a tempting bet to me.Rafa playing his first match since pulling out of the French and nobody apart from him knows how well his knees are.But even a fully fit Nadal had had problems with Ferrer on hard court and other surfaces in the past. Not been a great year from Ferrer but a convincing win over Triocki yesterday and he could see this as big chance to beat Rafa again.Interesting match. Hanescu +3.5 games over Kohlschreiber @ 5/6 Lost with Berdych yesterday against Kohli and it really could have went either way.Berdych choked the first set and saved match points to win the second before losing the third. This match to me looks closer than odds suggest - Hanescu not as comfortable on hard court but surface not as quick as others.Good win over Melzer as a dog yesterday and I think he can cover the +3.5 handicap. Small punt on Hanescu at 7/4 to win match outright aswell.Very tempting odds.

  17. Re: Tennis: ATP/WTA Montreal & Cincinnati Aug 8-23 Berdych over Kolhschreiber @ 4/7 Fully expect Berdych to win this.Better player on hard surface, has the big shots and serve to win cheap points.Kohli can play on hard but not as comfortable. Also has played nothing but clay tournaments since Wimbledon and not doing so well. Berdych lost to big Isner last week in Washington 1/4 but won't face same problems today.Hopefully he comes through this. Radwanska/Sugiyama over 18.5 games @ 5/6 Not as confident about this seeing as Radwanska beat her comfortably last week but she just needs to make sets tight or win one for bet to come up.Sugiyama is a veteran now but can still fight at times taking set off Sharapova at Stanford.See how this match pans out. GL!
