  1. Re: ATP Munich/Belgrade/Estoril & Women's WTA Tournaments Week Commencing 3rd May Yep going to have bets on: Berdych tb Hewitt @ evens...evens is great value for Berdy after beating in-form Beck Karlovic tb Cipolla @ 4/7...bit short but Ivo should win this Venus tb Safina @ 4/7...venus playing well.First match-up on clay but Safina seems to struggle against Venus Serra tb Blake @ 11/10...least confident bet but having a small punt on it as there is value.Serra is a tricky player and Blake is liable to play like dirt on clay, despite getting back to back wins this week. Diggidy, Cilic looks a good bet but just going to watch that one today. Also last night I thought Starace looked a nailed on bet, but seen his price drift today and apparently he's carrying a knock today so this one is probably best left alone. GL lads. A few wins are needed today after Clement crashed and burned against Cipolla.

  2. Re: ATP Munich/Belgrade/Estoril & Women's WTA Tournaments Week Commencing 3rd May Clement tb Cipolla @ 8/11 Clement can win this one.Cipolla beat Baghdatis in 3 which is a fairly easy feat these days. However Baghdatis outplayed him in the first set and then self-destructed.He also had some tough qualifying matches and it may take its toll today.Clement had a comfortable over Ventura and can add to that today. Like RePunt above,Beck looks a good bet but I think I'll leave that one.The beck badwagon has to stop soon and it might be today.hopefully not for your sake though mate.

Kiefer tb Gulbis @ Evens Dont think either player is playing well, athough Gulbis had a good win over Almagro in Rome.Kiefer can make home advantage count here and is due a win.As an underdog against Gulbis who hasnt hit the heights yet, a small bet is good value here. Youzhny tb Minar @ 1/2 Youzhny should win this one.Minar retired injured last week in a Challenger event while Mikhail seems to be picking up some wins again and has beaten Minar before on clay, albeit 4 years ago. Tempted by Zverez and like RePunt said above Machado aswell.
:cheers Win Win Kiefer looked down and out at one point but came through.Good day!

  5. Re: ATP Rome Yep good luck mate.It really is a coin toss between the two. But after Fed lost to Novak in Miami I think, I still have doubts over his mental toughness. Not something Djokovic is renowned for either but he looks solid this week, Anyway should be a great one!

  6. Re: ATP Rome Djokovic tb Federer @ 8/11 Heart wants Federer, head says Novak today. He's playing very well recently and is certainly only second to Rafa on the surface at this moment.Has had a great run in recent weeks, reaching the final of Monte Carlo and taking a set off Rafa in the final.Has beaten Robredo,Montanes and Del Potro in straight sets already in Rome and will have more to play for today being defending champ and defending ranking points.Roger has shown some promising signs this week but not enough for me to part with my money.Still question marks over his big weapons when under pressure, and for me novak is playing very solid this week. Nadal -5.5 games versus Gonzalez @ 5/6 Rafa will win in two, its just a question of how competitive Gonzalez makes it.For me his big weapons dont hurt Nadal on hard courts so on clay certainly will not.Rafa was below par against Verdasco yesterday but still won comfortably 6-3 6-3.Small bet at these odds

  7. Re: ATP Rome Yep just stuck some cash on Wawrinka. Hes been pretty good recently and has done well in Rome before. Del Potro is no mug on clay but he was pretty poor last night against Troicki, and Wawrinka is a deserved fave here. Been tempted by Zverez to beat Simon. No way can Simon's odds be so low.Had Zverez last night to beat Mathieu at a similar price(2/1) but that was mainly because Mathieu had only finished a match a few hours before that match.Might do the over/under market.Have to check the prices..... Wouldnt put anyone off backing Wawrinka here.

Bolelli tb Kohlschreiber @ 8/11 Monaco to win a set against Murray @ 6/4 Bolelli match a coin toss but I'm siding with Bolelli here. Also fancy Monaco to win a set against Murray. He took a set off him on Miami hard courts and is most comfortable on clay. Fancy murray to win but Monaco should at least make it tight and could well take a set Good Luck!
Bolelli...Lost Monaco...Won,match gone into a third set :cheers Bolelli is soon to be playing womens tennis after winning one game in the final two sets. He's on my black book now!Thankfully Monaco more than covered the loss.

  10. Re: ATP Barcelona April 20-26 Nadal-Davydenko over 18.5 games @ 5/6 Seems value to me.Rafa has had a break after nalbandian withdrew so the only worry is that he blows Davydenko away. But davydenko has looked good since his return, had a good run in Monte Carlo(would have beaten murray in my view had he not played a 3 setter the same day) and had a good win over stepanek yesterday.Assuming rafa will win, should davydenko make it competitive he can cover the the 18.5 games.

  11. Re: ATP Barcelona April 20-26 Robredo tb Andreev @ 4/6 Pretty even match up here, both decent clay courters.Robredo leads the H2H 1-0 with the matchup on clay two years ago.Give tommy the edge though, he's won titles on clay this year and has home advantage on his side.Expect a tight match though. Side Bet: Having a small bet on a double Verdasco tb Berdych 2-0 x Gonzalez tb Monaco 2-0 @ over 9/4 Berdych has beaten verdasco twice on clay before but verdasco is a different animal now.The slow surface means he should dictate the points and this is bedych's weakest surface. Gonzalez has beaten Monaco every time he's played him(4-0) and also had a straight sets win on clay in Chile earlier in the year. Expect both verdasco and gonzalez to win but hoping for straight sets wins for some value.

  12. Re: ATP Barcelona April 20-26

Lopez tb Nieminen @ 5/6 Both players the same price here and in truth both are not in form at all.But as poor as Lopez has been,Nieminen has been worse.Lost in the Monte Carlo qualifiers and to Schuettler on Miami hardcourts.Lopez was beaten pretty easily by Ferrer in Monte Carlo but if ever there was a time to back him it is in his home country against a player who seems to be struggling on all surfaces. Lapentti tb Mathieu @ evens Lapentti did well enough last week for me to back him here.Mathieu is one of those players who I never back as a favourite. The Ecuadorian is a good clay courter and beat youzhny, stepanek and safin only losing to Rafa in straight sets in Monte Carlo. He's beaten Mathieu on clay before and though taht was a few years back I'm hoping he can repeat that success today Good luck
:clap Didnt like the card today,so back tomorrow with a few more hopefully

  14. Re: ATP Monte-Carlo & WTA Charleston/Barcelona,April 13-19

Some good match ups today and the ones that look like good value are the nalbandian/davydenko and ferrer/verdasco matches. Both are coin flips and really a case could be made for either to win.I'm going for: Davydenko tb Nalbandian @ 5/6 Watched parts of nalbandians match with granollers and he looked very poor at times and his serve was letting him down. Both players were breaking each other at will.David's fitness is a concern and he looks out of shape right now.Nikolay is only back after injury and may not be up to speed yet and while he only beat karlovic who is not as dangerous on clay,it's still quite a tough match.Neither player are on top form but my gut tells me davydenko might do it today. I'm very tempted to go with ferrer aswell over verdasco.Ferrer looks really good and fernando doesnt usually do well in monte carlo.of course he is now a different player,he's still not playing as well as he was in the Oz open. But i think I'll stick with davydenko for today Good luck everybody
:okwell done nikolay I see murray is playing davydenko later today and on a normal day I'd lump on davydenko on clay. But seeing as he's just back from injury and had a 3 setter today with nalbandian(compared to murray finishing off his second set),I think I'll leave that one.

  16. Re: ATP Monte-Carlo & WTA Charleston/Barcelona,April 13-19

Safin tb Hewitt @ 5/4 A nightmare match for punters but with the circumstances I'm going with safin.Hewitt literally walks off the plane and on to court, and surely fatigue will play a part.Had a win in Houston last week, but it wasnt exactly a strong field and the clay is alot different than that in monte carlo. The other side of that is safin hasnt played since he choked against monfils in miami hard courts so may start slow.Neither player is what they once were, safin was a better suited to clay in his time and he serves and returns as well as hewitt.Lleyton was struggling with his serve last week big time and hopefully will be punished today. Will be a struggle more than likely and hoping marat doesnt break any racquets today......
:ok Thank god,had 50 squid on safin there and he really puts you through the mill.Hewitt had 2 break points at 5-5 in the second but marat came through.Hewitt deserves credit for showing great fight despite being jetlagged and looking injured.
  17. Re: Road to Rolland Garos meant to re-phrase it as so-called good claycourters who really only achieve results on the surface but fall short against the top players.verdasco might do well, cilic doesnt move well enough to hurt nadal or fed for me just seen simon got walloped by beck, disgraceful serve percentages

  18. Re: Road to Rolland Garos Fantastic work RePunt. My only hope for the clay court season is that nadal at least gets some competition. The players who I see as troubling him are federer, djokovic and nalbandian.Fed has the all-round game but never plays aggressive enough or uses any variation in his game.Start coming to the net a bit more and take your break point chances.Novak has a good clay court game and Nalbandian is one of those guys that can outplay anyone on his day. Then theres the usual clay courters like almagro who are good but not good enough to trouble the big boys. Not sure about murray, looking forward to seeing him against Hanescu which could be a tricky match

  20. Re: ATP Houston,Casablanca & WTA Marbela,Ponte Vedra 6-12 April Chardy tb Garcia-Lopez @ 2/5 Fancy chardy to go far this week, had a convincing win over Jesse Levine and the conditions seems to suit him.Odds are a little short but i'll be taking them. Ferrero tb Starace @ 2/5 Ferrero is not the player he once was and injuries are hampering him in recent years. But he's reached a couple of quarter finals recently and has the beating of starace on clay(3-1 H2H).Starace is having a poor year and I'm hoping ferrero records a win here

  21. Re: CL - 7th & 8th of April Going for: Liverpool to keep clean sheet against chelsea @ 6/4 Usually cagey affairs and liverpool tend to strangle games against chelsea at Anfield. They have also hit some form and when they are on song they give little space especially on big european nights.

  22. Re: ATP & WTA Miami,March 25-April 5 @ RePunt:yeah i'll just stick with federer to win the match.my hatred of djokovic can cloud my judgement sometimes.Fed win looks good. @TQD: quality match.unbelievable for nadal to lose when up a double break in the third.even at match points down,i still fancied him.thankfully no money on the match.credit Del Potro, who has struggled against the top guys but kept his head any views on Murray/Del Potro and serena/Azarenka? am thinking Murray but these two have some history.surely JMDP cannot cause another upset.Murray wasnt serving great against Verdasco but still a great win, even if his opponent was struggling. And serena should win.have to have a look at the prices
