  1. Re: Tennis: ATP/WTA Montreal & Cincinnati Aug 8-23 GGL to win set off Mathieu @ 8/13 Don’t know why PHM is such clear fave here. Both coming off clay tournaments and I think it could be tighter than the odds suggest.Mathieu is talented but incredibly inconsistent. GGL has a good game for most surfaces and can push Mathieu here and hopefully take a set. Karlovic/Haas over 10.5 games 1st set @ 6/5 Karlovic has a good winning record over Haas who can struggle against consistently big servers.Haas has been having a great few months and I'm hoping he can hold his serve early on playing an aggressive style.Ivo is near unbreakable when his serve is on so this could be a tight match with close sets. Petzschner/Querrey over 21.5 games @ 5/6 Like Mathieu match I think this could be tight or go to three sets.Querrey is of course playing well reaching two finals before losing a tight match last week against Roddick.A win is expected but at this price it's unbackable.Petzschner is a talented player and beat Fish last week in Washington and has some good weapons for the surface. Was tempted to go with Petzschner to win at 3/1 but overs may be the safer bet. GL!

  2. Re: Tennis: ATP Washington & WTA Los Angeles

Sharapova/Pennetta over 21.5 games @ 5/6 Think Flavia has big chances of winning this but overs may be safer.Sharapova is coming back to form but still struggling big time on serve, many double-faults and has had a few 3 setters recently.Even against Urzsula Radwanska she won in straights but really should have been pushed closer had Radwanska took the second set like she should have.Flavia is in great form and hoping she brings that form later and with Maria's fighting spirit it could go the distance. GL!
WIN :ok Good week..don't think i'll do any today plus Montreal starting aswell. Well done Repunt on Pennetta pick too.:cheers
  3. Re: Tennis: ATP Washington & WTA Los Angeles Bit of luck Repunt...took your Stosur pick aswell and was watching both Roddick and Stosur's matches but went to bed with Stosur losing first set and Roddick down in the first.Great to wake up and see them come through. Cheers for Stosur pick - usually don't believe anything from Spurs fans but there are always exceptions...:lol Not alot today...fancy Stosur again to beat Cirstea but price is way too short. Also would usually take Del Potro at decent price but Gonzalez played great against Haas and will always cause problems with his aggressive style. But will take: Sharapova/Pennetta over 21.5 games @ 5/6 Think Flavia has big chances of winning this but overs may be safer.Sharapova is coming back to form but still struggling big time on serve, many double-faults and has had a few 3 setters recently.Even against Urzsula Radwanska she won in straights but really should have been pushed closer had Radwanska took the second set like she should have.Flavia is in great form and hoping she brings that form later and with Maria's fighting spirit it could go the distance. 4. Re: Tennis: ATP Washington & WTA Los Angeles Roddick/Karlovic over 10.5 games 1st set @ 8/11 Liking this bet alot. Both big servers - Ivo is near unreturnable on his day. Roddick was broken a few times against Querrey but hoping he can improve on that against Ivo.There have been multiple tie-breaks in past matches between the two and hope we get close to that again...or 7-5 will do. GL!

  5. Re: Tennis: ATP Washington & WTA Los Angeles

Yep WinningTipster just placed bets on: Pennetta tb Petrova @ 8/11 Petrova playing really poorly, struggled in last round against Peer.Pennetta has a great winning record over her and looks to have made good adjustment to the hard surface.Expect a Pennetta win here. Stosur tb Ivanovic @ 5/6 Tough match.Stosur playing well - good run to semi's last week in Stanford and continues that form here with straight set wins over Niculescu and Kirilenko.Kirilenko had some opportunities but couldn't take them.Ivanovic playing first time since Wimbledon where she beat Stosur, but struggled against Vania King in last round who also had chances to lead that match.Ana leads H2H 2-1 but Stosur won only match on hard court and I think she has the game and form to beat Ivanovic. Good Luck.
WIN WIN :ok Have a look and see if any good bets for today. Repunt...spurs fan????:@

  7. Re: ATP: Gstaad/LA/Umag & WTA: Stanford/Istanbul Stosur over Bartoli @ 4/6 Stosur playing well. Very strong and hits big, plays well on hard surface - had a fantastic win over Serena last night and although Serena made alot of errors, Stosur played a great match.Bartoli is good player but spent alot of energy beating Jankovic and looked sluggish towards the end. Think Stosur wins if she plays like she has this week. GL!

  8. Re: ATP: Gstaad/LA/Umag & WTA: Stanford/Istanbul Taking Haas x Dementieva double @ Evens Haas is a quality player and has played great last few months on different surfaces and possibly could have won an elusive GS only for Fed twice.Beat Jesse Levine confortably and has won this tournament before. Safin is coming to the end and despite two good battling wins against Ginepri and Gulbis, Haas should be too good at this point. Dementieva plays Hantuchova and can come through this one.6-1 winning record over her and is playing really well right now. Think she'll win this one. Mayer to beat Kunitsyn @ 8/11 Thought Mayer would be fave but he wasn't yesterday.Odds have now dropped but I'm happy to take the price.Think Mayer is really talented and seems comfortable on every surface.Seems on good form aswell and think he takes this.

  9. Re: ATP: Gstaad/LA/Umag & WTA: Stanford/Istanbul Just takin one today Sharapova to beat Petrova @ 4/6 Maria has a mental edge over Petrova. Alot of pretty tight matches over the years but has a 6-2 winning record. Also beat her at Rolland Garros this year which I didn't expect looking at Sharapova coming into the tournament without alot of play. She is a fighter and has showed signs of getting near her best again - both had 3 set 1st round wins but Maria can progress here. GL!

  10. Re: ATP: Gstaad/LA/Umag & WTA: Stanford/Istanbul Taking these for the next two days. Kiefer over Acasuso @ 8/13 Acasuso really struggling with injuries recently, retired from 2 of last 3 matches - last week in Hamburg against Monaco a set down. Wouldn't say clay is Keifer's favourite surface but he can play on the dirt, he struggled with injuries earlier in the year but reached semi on in Stuttgart a few weeks ago before losing to Chardy.Think he can come through this one. Dancevic over Baghdatis @ 10/11 Good price here. The canadian reached the semis in Indianapolis and recorded some good results in American hard courts earlier in the year.Baghdatis is a shadow of the player he was - lost to Odesnik early in Indianapolis and looks there for the taking today. Chakvetadze over Kirilenko @ 4/6 Neither player playing alot recently or that well.Chakvetadze has a 3-2 h2h record and has played well here in the past - she won the tournament in 2007 and reached the quarters last year.Should be a competitive match but think she can take this. GL!

  11. Re: ATP Indianapolis/Hamburg & WTA Portoroz/Bad Gastein,July 20-26 Going with Hernandez @ Evens to beat Beck today in Hamburg. He's been playing quite well lately winning a challenger event on clay earlier this month and has a 2-0 H2H over Beck both coming on clay (one this year).Beck had a purple patch earlier in the year but seems to have hit a wall right now losing 4 matches in succession...the last to Greul in Stuttgart.Expect a tight match possibly with three sets but hoping Oscar comes through this one. GL!

  12. Re: Wimbledon

I was with u gooner, sucked in by the williams family conspirecy. Venus hadn't lost a set since 2007 and hardly a game this Wimbledon. Then all of a sudden she turns to ratshit against the big girl who was lucky to be there. I was warned, should have seen it coming! In the waring threads before, I think Jonesy has been treated somewhat harshly by someone holding the big stick.
It was terrible - couldnt see Venus playing so badly if Dementieva had gotten through.Hate backing the women but was sure she'd win going on form.Need a break from this gambling lark.
  13. Re: Wimbledon Venus -2.5 games @ 5/6 Fairly confident taking Venus in this one.Already stuck cash on her to beat Serena outright the other day at better price than it is this morning. She's a far superior player on grass - can go shot for shot with her sister, has the good serve and return, moves well and is in far better shape right now. Serena's fitness is not great right now and only her power shots and a mental breakdown from Demetieva got her through.I expect Venus to win the match and hoping she can also cover the handicap to bring up the odds.

  14. Re: Wimbledon

Mauresmo tb Safina @ 6/4 Think Mauresmo has chances here - she's playing quite well and has good grass pedigree winning here a few years back.Safina has struggled against much inferior opponents already and as was shown by here defeat against Tanasugarn in Holland a few weeks backs, she is not that strong on the surface.Could be a tight one and I'm happy to stick some cash on Amelie here.
LOST...:@ Jesus what a chokefest - Mauresmo screwed up the second and led 3-0 in the third and had 2 or 3 break points at 4-4.Absolutely raging - lost quite a bit on that one. Apologies if anyone took it.

  16. Re: Wimbledon Vesnina came through a tough 3 setter with Cibulkova but Robredo is a set down after losing a tie-break - this one is a cert for 4 or 5 sets. Some win for Karlovic aswell over Tsonga - didnt have any cash on it and it was tough to watch with just serves but Ivo was incredible on serve...so many aces. Edit: Damn Robredo two sets down but a double break up in the third so still hope.Bartoli my last bet just lost first set tie-break..smallest of margins. Not looking good. Edit 2: Need Robredo to win to have profit for the day after Bartoli's loss .He broke in the 4th so hoping its heading to a 5th set. Darn Robredo loses 4th set 7-5 after leading 5-3. 1w-2l for the day.

  17. Re: Wimbledon As Repunt said above Vesnina looks the way to go.Has beaten Cibulkova on different surfaces this year and has looked very comfortable at Wimbledon aswell. Cibulkova pulled out of the doubles a yesterday with back trouble and all in all isn't her best on grass. Vesnina to win @ 4/6 Bartoli to beat Schiavone @ 2/5 Price is a bit short but I expect Bartoli to come through this one.Schiavone is having a good championships but grass is her weakest surface while its Bartoli's favourite. She hits big and can certainly take this one. Robredo to beat Sela @ 8/11 Happy to take this aswell.Sela has never progressed further than this round and neither has Tommy - Sela has played quite well beating Schuettler comfortably but he looked disinterested after losing the first set tie-break.Tommy has had some really tough matches coming from 2 sets down to beat Koubek in the last round.Unlike Schuettler though,Robredo is pretty solid and is a fighter and the grass is notably slower this year so it suits him fairly well.Expect it to be tight and may go the full 5 sets. Good Luck!

  18. Re: Wimbledon Arantxa hadnt looked at tomorrows card but if Tsonga is that price I will gladly take it. Dr Ivo Karlovic is not a Grand Slam player and struggles big time over 5 sets. Can hold serve but returns like a girl to be honest and Tsonga should be able to hold and has far more variety for tie-breaks.I'd expect Tsonga win in 4 maybe 5. As for Mardy,he'll have chances.Djokovic is not playing well at all but Mardy plays very aggressive so is hit and miss.Might take this one in-play.

  19. Re: Wimbledon

A few of my selections today: Gimeno-Traver to win set off Troicki @ Evens Great value here I feel. It's grass and most sets are competitive - no way G-Traver should be 5/1 to win the match. Troicki beat Dabul in straights but lost convincingly to Kiefer at Halle and really grass is not his best surface. G-Traver is a clay-courter naturally and throughout his career has mainly played on the dirt but a win over big-hitting Taylor Dent in round one will give him confidence and surely he can get close in most sets and snatch one.You can shoot me if Troicki wins in straight sets. As a side bet I just stuck a bit of cash on this aswell: Murray-Gulbis over 10.5 games first set @ 21/10 Gulbis has not really fulfilled the talent he showed a couple of years back but is still a dangerous player. He's been making all the right noises coming into this match and seems very positive - he hits big and I feel he may start strongly here.He also took a set off Murray last year at Queens and won the first set against Nadal at Wimbledon last year and pushed him hard that day.Just need him to come out fast and take his service games and I think he will. Confident of the first bet and stuck a small bit on the second for value really. Good Luck!
WIN LOSS Said I was confident of number 1 and Gimeno is currently 2-1 up.Second one was more speculative and Murray just had too much variety for Gulbis. :ok...back tomorrow with a few hopefully.

Almagro tb Beck @ 10/11 Not much to choose from today.Considering a few of the women like Cibulkova and Cirstea but might leave it.
Almagro is a player I hate to be honest, has little grass pedigree aswell. But Beck is a challenger mug who I dont expect to go any further. He's had a couple of demanding qualifying matches(one which he lost by the way to Greul) and a long 5 setter with Lopez who really should be ashamed of himself losing to Beck.Almagro had a 5 setter with another clay-courter in Juan Monaco but was rock solid on serve for the most part but fell in some tie breaks.Anyway he came through in the end and I think his price is a liitle too big - expected a bit shorter and hopefully he does it today. Good Luck!
WIN...:ok Struggle aswell - 2 sets up but a few sloppy games and suddenly found himself 2-2.Got his serve back going in the 5th and it was only a matter of time.
