    Blimey ..... Augustus Rodin has drifted from 1/4 to 1/3 this morning for the Irish Derby (3.40 Curragh)

    Given his unexplained flop in the Guineas it might be worth looking for an EW alternative

    Obvious choice is White Birch at 7/1 bet365....... 2nd in the Dante, 3rd in the Derby, thought to be better suited by today's more conventional track compared to Epsom. If the Derby form holds up he looks a shoe in for a place and the form does look solid with the 2nd and 6th both winning Royal Ascot races next time out

    At bigger odds might be best to look for something a bit less exposed ........... maybe Up and Under 20/1 wm hill. He's only had 3 runs and in them has finished 2nd to the subsequent Derby 2nd and 3rd ........ so he might not have to improve much to be amongst the Epsom Derby horses

    Canny Sir Mark Prescott brings this one here on seasonal debut with the yard in terrific form (4 winners from last 11 runs)

    Won his final race fairly easily last season off 87 and has gone up 8lbs for that ..... I reckon Sir Mark probably put him away with this valuable race in mind ...... could be a 'lay out' job !
