The last one of those World Series events (thankfully ). Feels like a rerun of the Australian event, as we have a similarly lopsided bracket. Price should make the Finals once again, I guess. I don't have an outright pick. But I think Puha beats Cross in the "rematch". Puha to win at 4.
-
Heta to beat Price at 2,30. It's Australia, so... I mean, even at a neutral venue, it's probably a bit closer to 50/50.
-
My only minor concern would be Puha. That first round match COULD be tricky.
-
We are going to Australia! (And then to New Zealand next week.) The usual World Series event, two days, starting tomorrow morning. Humphries and Littler (and Smith) are in the same half of the draw... in the other half Cross is the favorite, and he seems to win quite a few of these World Series events... won here last year too, although there was no Humphries and Littler, LOL. Frankly, I don't really fancy an outright winner here. Maybe Whitlock to beat Wright?
-
Cullen-Rock finals... No luck this time, Ross Smith was so close though.
-
Not knowing the draw, I went with: Ross Smith (LOL, ok, I'm stubborn as a mule) DVD and then: Menzies Joyce Scutt Soutar Taylor Good luck to all.
-
DVD! I feel it
-
The whole topic does. And once again the 150 odds, this is my favorite number. Was this De Decker's first PDC win?
-
At least Menzies took out Littler... Humphries is still in, unfortunately... I hate these two, bettingwise. 😀
-
Great minds think alike, LOL. As I went with Dobey R. Smith --- and then: Menzues De Decker Scutt Soutar (Quite a few Scottish players picked here, and none of them are former world champs, LOL)

It's truly remarkable what Humphries has done in the previous 10 months... what a great run.
-
I usually don't like such "low" odds, but Humphries at 1,53 looks good. He clearly seems to be the best player right now, and in this tournament... eye test + the numbers (his averages are Phil Taylor-esque). And then he has beaten MVG 7 in a row now... including a 10-5 in the PL semi, and a memorable 8-1 demolition in an ET final. It is Humphries's tournament to win, just like the World Championship was. Only question is for me: is it worth to go for a handical win or stay with the simple match win?
-
I'm still shocked after yesterday... Wade was unreal. I'm staying away from tonight's games... the Cross/Smith odds seem to be correct.
-
I went with Gilding to win at 2,60. And yes, praying for Cullen too.
-
Clayton out, sadly... VDB two wins in a row as an underdog... he is so dangerous in these major tournaments. Now: Ratajski should NEVER ever be a 1,47 favorite against anyone at this level, in my opinion. Should be an automatic bet on Gilding, LOL.
-
OK, I counter-jinxed it! Great stuff in the end by Smudger!
-
Ross Smith 5/19 on the checkout... he NEEDS to improve that.
-
I know Littler losing damaged Fader's acca, but I still think it's good news for the outrights... MVG can have his off night, Littler is more dangerous in that sense.
-
Exactly, so weird to see Smith as a sizeable underdog... he has the better form, the H2H edge etc... even in the World Cup, he looked better to my eyes than Anderson (granted, it's easier to play with Humphries compared to the shell of Wright, LOL). I also bet on Smith to beat Anderson at 2,10. I am going to root for MVG, but yeah, Littler probably wins.
-
I went with Cullen at 2. I didn't like what Dolan played at the World Cup... let's hope Cullen shows up here.
-
And then a 167... and then a 126... what a match!
-
9 darter by VBD too... Ross Smith played excellent, I think, especially so early in the day.
-
Van Den Bergh to beat Schindler at 2,20. Schindler as such a formidable favorite against VDB seems weird to me. The Belgian loves the stage, even won here before, and (at least against Netherlands, and I think it counts more than the disaster against Austria) showed some form at the World Cup.
