  1. Cracking match between Selby and Allen going down to the final black. 3 more matches tonight so they'll be finishing about 2 am local time if they're lucky!
  2. Higgins sure got close with 15 reds/blacks but landed almost touching the yellow else I think he would at least have had a shot at the golden ball!
  3. Thanks for kicking this off. Certainly a bit of a novelty event but everyone will be gunning for the half-a-million dollar 167 break prize! It all looked a bit bleak this afternoon when all the players were introduced as there were about 10 people in the crowd but apparently, the prelim rounds were very last minute so the real crowd will be in this evening for the proper start of the tournament. The golden ball is going to be in the most difficult position so it would be highly unlikely to see anyone win the bonus but it adds a little spice to the event.
  4. I hope you didn't give in to temptation, I've never seen Moody play before but I wasn't impressed by what I saw today. Luca seems to be on fire and it would be a good final between him and Higgins:-)
  5. Might as well resurrect this thread since the Welsh started today, let's see if Luca's miserable season continues though if he loses to Jun he should really retire! Judd would rather go on holiday and Ronnie comes up with another lame excuse when he would have had a decent chance of cementing his number-one ranking this week.
  6. Might be a bit of value there I guess... edit* turned out to be a great call as he wins 5-2
  7. Amazing call on Shelbay!
  8. Even Ronnie seemed happy with his performance against Ding, let's hope for a good final tomorrow.
  9. I hope he makes it 8-8-8 in May!
  10. Match is back on at 5-6, Ali's little bumhole must be twitching now as we enter a very important spell of the final.
  11. Your bets are looking good at 5-3 ahead, I'm still hoping that Ali crumbles tonight but he's got a great chance to lift his first major.
  12. He can't complain about the chances he(Mark) had to make it closer, hope Ali gets stuffed by Ronnie tomorrow! 17-1 H2H doesn't bode well for him. Reminds me of that funny tennis quote by Vitis Geralitis about getting beaten 17 times in a row.
  13. Can't play much better than 3 centuries in a row, would love an Allen comeback though and I agree about the plant in the earlier frame!
  14. How did Shaun miss that last red?! Anyway, hoping for a 6-3 or 6-4 Allen win tonight but if he's a bit off(Selby really should have done him last night) then Carter certainly has a chance.
  15. Nope. The crowd got their money's worth, what a titanic battle as Allen squeaks through. Selby was very patchy though. The 147 was great as he'd shown nothing up till then, also could have gone 5-1 down and that would have been curtains.
  16. What the hell is going on in frame 7, a comedy of errors!
  17. Agreed, he just won in Macau so hopefully will continue his run of form. It would be great if Ronnie wins his eighth Masters this weekend.
  18. Shame about the missed 147 when the balls were perfect but Jack continues his good run of form from Macau and wins easily in the end.
  19. Enjoy! Good to have an interest in the tournament, Luca has been pish since last May so it would take a big turnaround for him to produce here. I'm hoping for a Judd/Ronnie final again.
  20. Amazing to win it again considering he's been nowhere for the last 12 months, I really thought Noppon would bag it after beating Higgins. Well done on those who bet Wilson!
  21. Higgins is starting to make a habit of losing from seemingly winning positions, Noppon played great though and I hope he can pull off a win tomorrow, every chance I reckon.
  22. Wow, Gary vs Joe, what a match and what a finish...
  23. Bit cheeky of Ronnie to turn up in the Eurosport studio after his last-minute "health reasons" withdrawal from the tournament
  24. I didn't(BF don't seem to offer in-play betting although others do) - you would think that there might be opportunities to gain an edge due to the delay in TV transmissions say when a player misses a pot and leaves the table open for a clearance.
  25. Didn't see Jimmy vs Dom but maybe Jimmy ran out of steam as I watched Dom vs Joe tonight and Dom played poorly. Kyren was awful too and deserved to go out, match didn't finish until half twelve. I only got to the venue about 11 pm tonight.
