Can't even watch the replay back ....they boxed him in all the way and he couldn't do anything til about 1f out then the bird had flown and he even managed 5th which was a miracle ....I want a🤟rematch

wether it’s longchamp or Wolverhampton this jockey just gets on with the job.

Just goes to show you have to be aware of all things in racing even during these top notch days like Longchamp - great example Peter Schiergen had 4 out of 4 winners in Germany yesterday and today 3 winners from 3 runners.

On the question of Continuous ( not to say i am backing it ) but it tanked through the Leger pulling double . Sealed the race 2 furlongs out with a real change of pace , quickened away and perhaps if anything tired in the last furlong  . Looked as if the one mile six stretched it slightly and 12f might be its ideal trip . Ryan Moore only gave the horse a couple of taps so he thought there was plenty left ...........personally i want Westover to win  ,  been so unlucky in the past .

Declan Carroll’s six year old Emiyn has a great record here which reads 14242171 including when plundering a handicap here in July over half a mile shorter than todays. He showed he stays this far when winning this very race last year off of a 7lb lower mark. He looks sure to be thereabouts with his usual front running tactics. Brian Ellison’s mud loving top weight Tashkhan should also be thereabouts and looks a threat.   ERMIYN 1 point each way @ 5/1 bet365 1/5th 123   Newmarket 2.25 A decent field of thirteen race for the Group 1 Juddmonte Cheveley Park Stakes run over 6F. William Haggas’s Relief Rally sets the standard and should run well although is priced accordingly and it maybe worth looking for some each way value with the Charlie Johnston trained Sacred Angel. The grey daughter of Dark Angel looked a smart filly when winning at Newmarket and Ascot on fast ground in July, including in Group 3 company and may have got bogged down in the mud in the Group 1 Prix Morny last time when only finishing 4 3/4L fourth behind Vandeek. Back on a sounder surface she can outrun her odds.   SACRED ANGEL 1 point each way @ 10/1 bet365 1/5th 1234   Haydock 2.40 The sole race covered by ITV at Haydock today is the class 2 5F handicap which has attracted a field of nine with a strong fancy in the shape of the Tim Easterby trained Manila Scouse who will relish the soft ground. His form figures when encountering soft or heavy ground read 22212251 and he showed last time out when third (beaten 1/2L) in a similar grade handicap at York last weekend that he’s in fine form when chasing home Vintage Clarets. A reproduction of that effort on ground he loves should see him go very close.   MANILA SCOUSE 1 points each way @ 9/2 Paddy Power 1/5th 123   Newmarket 3.00 Nine two year old colts line up for the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes run over 6F. The race may be fought out by Simon & Ed Crisford’s Vandeek and the Aidan O’Brien trained River Tiber. The pair met in the Prix Morny at Deauville in August on very soft ground with Vandeek winning with River Tiber 2 1/4L back in third. That doesn’t tell the whole story mind as O’Brien was very vocal before the race that his Coventry Stakes winner had missed plenty of work ad would improve plenty. If that’s the case I expect the placings to be reversed here and he can take a race that he’s been successful in on three of the last six seasons.   RIVER TIBER 2 points win 9/4 Coral   Newmarket 3.40 The feature race of the meeting is the Cambridgeshire Handicap which has attracted a maximum field of thirty five. The one that stands out is the Harry & Roger Charlton trained Greek Order who has so much going for him (bar his price) that he will be hard to beat. A lightly raced son of Kingman he’s won handicaps at Sandown and Newbury in fine style this year with his latest win already been boosted by the subsequent easy success of the runner up Maximilian Caesar. A high draw is very advantageous and in stall 25 he’s got that. He could easily be a blot on the handicap. I’ve every respect for Dual Identity, who did us a favour last time at Sandown and was an unlucky third in this race from a poor draw last year and is also worth backing each way with additional places.   GREEK ORDER 2 points win @ 4/1 William Hill DUAL IDENTITY 1 point each way @ 12/1 William Hill 1/5th 123456  

See for me I really liked the top 2 but the fitness thing is huge ....yes the break might freshen up top 2 but no guarantees ...2 months off is a huge ask to give 100% and you do need 100% to win the arc .....the fav is training well on gallops but if connections pay the 120000 to supplement continuous Wednesday and it's looking very likely now as seems to be impressing at home  then for me that's where the value lies now so 8/1 Ew would seem a golden bet ...will be staying on when all the others are floundering ....if I could get 4 places I'd be overjoyed ....but I doubt that 
Another thing I like about continuous ...if you.. re watch the leger continuous wants to go faster and is being held back so that bodes well for the arc and the step back ....has a lot going for it 

Pointed this out to a friend recently who likes to do ew doubles on big fields  .  In the old days 16+ runners a quarter the odds now with extra places been given a fifth of the odds . ( i have asked if i write first 4 only a quarter the odds on my slip , that option is not available) .Therefore a one point ew double on two 20-1 shots ......say if they both come 4th , return is 25 points , under the old rules you would get 36 points ....... nearly 50% more .....extra places is fine but you have to take the hit  .  What i do now is back the horse to win at the odds i can get and do a tote place only as well .....at least you are getting what you are due .
