T.Daniel to beat Jarry at 2.75 with Bet365
I think that Jary is a little overrated here. He is not in good shape at all, he has defeated 2 opponents so far, but Kudla and Ebden are neither in good shape nor prefer to play on clay. Daniel has recorded an impressive victory over Garin, a player who has been impressed in recent months.  For me the odds should be more equal and I am happy to get 2.75 for Daniel’s win here.

Taylor Fritz to beat Richard Gasquet at 1.73 with Ladbrokes
Gasquet doesn't look healthy at all to me, big issues against Janvier as well, while Fritz has been out-playing strong opposition on clay recently. You obviously don't know the motivations of the players right before the French Open, but Gasquet probably can't risk anything fitness-wise if he wants to show up at RG.

Gojowczyk is out of form at all, he played 5 games  on clay this year and lost 4 of them.  Tipsarevic is far from his best days, but in Houston he showed he can still play good tennis. There he reached the quarterfinals after defeating Norrie and Sandgren before dropping out of Querry after 2 tiebreaks.  I think the Serb has a good chance of winning, I do not think that Gojowczyk has any advantage here.

Stefanos looks better this week than last and has had some suitable rest with rain delays, short matches and a walkover. I don't think we will see any easier match for Rafa this time. Nando Verdasco fell apart and it's not a big surprise but Stefanos shouldn't fall apart. I see this match as one that should be tight but the only value I can find on betfair is over 10.5 games in first set. How likely is that to happen? It's just as likely as the odds suggest I'd say but where there's value I want in and since bet365 is 3.50 on the same bet I think there is value on betfair.

Diego Schwartzman to beat Kei Nishikori at 2.40 with 888sport
I think Diego deserves a lot of credit for getting to the quarters and here he's up against Kei who had lots of problems last match when he beat J-L Struff. I think Diego has found his game on clay again after lots of poor performances, he's my favourite to get into the semi in this match.

Dominic Thiem to beat Novak Djokovic at 2.00 with Unibet
Strange to see Dominic as underdog in this match. He should rightfully be the favourite here but we get this price so I have to take this and I belive Dominic will get his third straight over Nole today.

Tsitsipas is in run of six consecutive wins. He won the title in Estoril last weekend, and now he has won 2 more wins against Mannarino and Verdasco. As a matter of fact during this period, he met players who are either not in the shape or far from his class. OK, Zverev is also not in the best shape, but there is enough class and especially motivation to defend points from last year. I think this is 50-50 game in worst case, so I am happy with odds for Zverev to win this game.

Pouille is a player who either drops off in the first round or goes far in the tournament. A few days ago he won Bordeaux challenger and now continued his winning streak by defeating Borna  Coric yesterday. Hurkacz is also in good run after winning 3 matches in Madrid but I do not think he should be a favorite here. There is some value for Pouille’s win in my eyes.

More than a year Goffin can not find his game. OK, he reached the semi-finals in Estoril, but was not particularly convincing with his game. On the other pole is Fucsovics, who has been making good progress in recent months, and I think he has a pretty good chance of winning here.

Laslo Djere to beat Dusan Lajovic at 2.37 with Pinnacle
Dusan becomes fav here and there now after he reached that masters final. He didn't win the final as far as I know but Laslo did win his first title, a 500 title in Rio de Janeiro in february so what makes Laslo the underdog here I do not really understand. Apart from Dusan reaching his first final and being 6 spots higher ranked atm he doesn't have a lot to brag about. This is a match that could become shorter than expected and one of the players wins in straight sets. Laslo hasn't played bad lately either having reached the semi of Budapest and I think Dusan will lose more matches early and being more like back to his former self this season where he loses early in tournaments like he did last week in Estoril. I make Laslo the fav here. 1-1 between them after two meetings on clay in 2015.

Christian Garin to beat Matteo Berrettini at 1.97 with Unibet
Unibet released their odds and they don't follow bet365 who have put Garin as 1.80 fav, they instead pick him as underdog which I think we should be happy about. It's very rarely to see a player outside of top 30 go and win two straight clay tournaments and I don't think it will happen this time either. Garin is likely the less fatigued player here and therefore should win this title.

Denis Kudla to beat Matteo Berrettini at 3.75 with Unibet
Not only did Denis defeat Kyle Edmund in first round, he only lost 5 points on his first serve. With a such performance it's ofcourse you stand a good chance of winning a match. Matteo looks drained from last week and really he doesn't need to go far in Munich. Matteo only lost 6 points himself on his first serve in round 1 but that was in a defeat of Denis Istomin. It doesn't impress me as mutch as Denis performance beating Kyle Edmund. Kyle maybe wasn't at his best but still it's a good win. I'm for the upset here, gonna be fun if Denis wins this on clay when his most prefered surface is hard or grass. Denis also owns a 3-1 record in the matchup of this one.

Davidovich Fokina to beat Chardy at 2.34 with Pinnacle
I'm really impressed with the way Fokina played against Fritz yesterday, he has already won 3 games in Estoril and I expect that his winning run will continue. Chardy is not in good shape, won only 3 of his last 11 games, he lost in the first round of the last two clay tournaments.
