morlspin
http://www.pokerinthepark.com/ >Poker in the Park 2010 20,000 eager visitors made Poker in the Park 2009 a big fixture on the poker calendar. Now, as it enters its fourth year Poker in the Park 2010 promises to be bigger and better than ever, with more marquees, more lectures and activities, and, most important of all, more live poker. Poker in the Park IV kicks off the London Poker Festival on 2-3 September. Come along and join in the fun. 1. The Poker Dome 1 One of the main feature tents at Poker in the Park, the Poker Dome runs live 80 player sit-n-go’s around the clock. Poker in the Park has partnered with pub leagues around the UK, so expect to rub shoulders with amateur poker players from the length and breadth of the country. 2. Poker Dome 2 Last year we had people queuing round the block to get a seat in the Poker Dome and so to cope with the massive demand we bring you… The Poker Dome 2! Yes, this year we’ll have double the space, double the tournaments and double the fun! 3. Mocktail Bar and Poker Expose The social hub of the festival, weary poker players can relax with a mocktail while checking out the latest online poker technology on plasma screens. 4. Poker Pro’s Lecture Marquee Get yourself a poker education from some of the best poker players in the world, with lectures, Q&A’s and autograph signings running around the clock. Last year we had the wisdom of two World Champions, in the form of Jamie Gold and Peter Eastgate, not to mention Neil Channing, Marc Goodwin, Ian Frazer, Paul Jackson, Liv Boeree and Nik Persaud. We’ve got some great names lined up for this year, so watch this space. 5. Heads-up Marquee Another hugely popular marquee last year, battle your way to heads up glory on the latest electronic poker tables. Knock out tournaments will run all day in our quest to find the Poker in the Park Heads-up Champion. 6. Tuition Tent Each table will be run by a sponsored player, offering the players live hand tuition and unbeatable, intimate advice.

Just looked at prices now and gulped hard when I saw 'em.
Sir Puntalot
Re: Poker in the Park 2010 - PL Private Event - POST 2 HAS NEW DETAILS Graeme's cost £77 per night, but this is bang in the centre of Central London and you can't expect anything less that's half decent. That price was direct on their website, if you go on laterooms.com it's £92 per night.
Nade
Re: Poker in the Park 2010 - PL Private Event - POST 2 HAS NEW DETAILS What are taxi prices like in central London? Just wondering if getting a hotel a bit outside the centre then getting a taxi to the casino would be cheaper?
Woodie
Re: Poker in the Park 2010 - PL Private Event - POST 2 HAS NEW DETAILS Better of getting train in I'd of guessed.
AlunB
Re: Poker in the Park 2010 - PL Private Event - POST 2 HAS NEW DETAILS Black cab prices are stupidly high. It would not be economical unless you had a good deal with a mini cab firm.
Nade
Re: Poker in the Park 2010 - PL Private Event - POST 2 HAS NEW DETAILS OK cheers :ok Just realized it's literally in a park and not a casino too :lol
Sir Puntalot
Re: Poker in the Park 2010 - PL Private Event - POST 2 HAS NEW DETAILS Agree with Alun. You're likely to spend more overall staying outside of Central London and getting cabs. Even the tube is £4 for a single fare, unless you have an oyster card. :unsure
