NRL: Round 16

Dragons win by 13+ margin @ 2.35 sportingbet The Dragons are relentless as they wear the opposition down and apply plenty of pressure to the point where the opposition cannot take it anymore and they take full advantage of it. Like last week where the Sharks had the possession to score tries but could not with the Dragons goal line defence being very good. They concede only about 12 points per game and while this Tigers side has points in them, they could struggle to score here given that they are up against a top class defence and one of their main playmakers, Farah, has an injury cloud over him. As for the Dragons, they welcome back Weyman and Young to their forward pack, which should freshen things up for them. They have some good players like Soward, Boyd, and Morris in the backline and fancy their chances to continue their roll on here, backed by a tough forward pack that gives nothing away. Panthers win by 13+ margin @ 2.66 centrebet Impressive win by the Panthers as they beat the Broncos in Brisbane and now they are at home on a cold night at the foot of the mountains in conditions that they are used to, unlike the Sea Eagless who have to travel quite far, and they do have some injury concerns. Their centre Lyons is out while his partner Matai had some problems with his shoulder last week and may not be 100%. Their backline still is not that good without these two players and even though they battled to a win over the Rabbitohs who lacked the intensity in their game that they have shown in recent weeks. The Panthers will be on a high after their win last week and with Civoniceva likely to return, the yardage their forwards get will be increased. Expect the likes of Waterhouse and Pritchard to be running at the likes of Williams and Whare who have shown a tendency to get caught out of position and miss tackles, while in their own centres, Jennings and Purtell have been playing well.

Re: NRL: Round 16 Eels -6.5 @ 2.59 centrbet Eels are a team that tends to play well against the good sides and struggle against those below them. With the Broncos on the same points as them and here is an opportunity to go kick ahead of them, like them to show some mongrel here and win after letting go that same opportunity on Monday night's loss to Newcastle. The Eels, when they are up for it, are very good with the second phase play, and with Brisbane ranked one of the the worst teams in the competition for missed tackles, like them to show some attacking verve that can cause the Broncos problems. Hayne needs to lift while they have some other good players like Burt and Mortimer who can create openings with their quick thinking. Eels are quite good defensively, it is their attack that has let them down, and they will look to close down Wallace and Lockyer. If they do, besides Folau, they do not have much else in the backline, and overall as a unit, i rate the Eels backline over the Broncos one. Up front, both packs are pretty similar with some good hard running forwards which can gain good metres but like the Eels to win this on the basis of their better defence Sharks -1.5 @ 2.80 centrebet Cowboys were very poor in their loss to the Storm last week as they lacked intensity and seemed to be going through the motions. There is a feeling that the players are not happy and it is showing in the way they are playing. The Sharks on the other hand, are playing some decent football, and they were unlucky against the Dragon they did not finish much closer as Gallen should have been given a try to make the margin only 4 points. They have played a more expansive brand of football with a nothing to lose attitude and it has made them a much better side. Going north, they have a good record in Townsville, and have won 8 of the 13 games there , with 17 wins out of 25 overall against the Cowboys, so this is one team they like playing against. They have showed enough in recent weeks to suggest that they will edge this, as look to Gallen and Barrett to lead them to victory Storm win by 13+ margin @ 2.80 pinnacle Findiing it really difficult to follow the Rabbitohs as they are very inconsistent. They have some good players and likely they will lift against the Storm, but doubt that will be enough. With the Storm only playing for pride, as well as for charity, they play a more carefree type of football and they do like to offload and play the ball through the hands. For a Rabbitohs defence that can switch off at times, doing this against the likes of Slater and Inlgis can be crushing for them, as they are quick to seize any opportunities where the defence is asleep. The Storm have an excellent record against the Rabbitohs where they have won 13 of the last 15 meetings. They were very very good in beating the Cowboys last week and expect them to continue their form here, and as this game is being played in Perth, the Storm are used to travelling every secnd week while the Rabbitohs may not have the same spark required to match it with the Storm

Re: NRL: Round 16 Roosters -3.5 @ 2.18 centrebet Believe that the Roosters will come into this game with much more enthusiasm after their last start win over a depleted Storm side as the confidence they gained from this will give them a big lift. They see this as a game to get themselves further up into the top 8, and with Pearce back to coordinate their plays, they should be in good position to score some points. Also like the way the forwards have been making inroads into the opposition defence and expect them to lay the platform here for both Pearce and Anasta to create some openings. Titans win by 13+ margin @ 2.62 centrebet Knights are not a team that travels well and on the back of a hard fought win on Monday night, there may be some tired legs in the second half especially with some of their bigger and not-so-mobile forwards. The Titans have lost Prince but get a handy replacement in Campbell and with Bailey also likely to return, the Titans are looking tough to beat in this game, as they are usually a better side when playing at home. Like that much more agile Titans forwards like Minichello, Harrison, Bailey and Laffranchi to run their opposite couterparts around and tire them out while they have some speedsters in the backs and they should be hunting for any offloads that these players give. Overall the Titans are a much better side and like them to win this one comfortably

Re: NRL: Round 16 Titans -6 @ $1.92 Sportsbet Scott Prince is out for this game but the Titans are coming off 2 wins and have Luke Bailey, Preston Campbell and Ash Harrison back in this game. Lots of firepower right there and with Greg Bird and Nathan Friend in the crucial positions I think will do enough to cover the inconsistent Knights who have only won 5 from 14 games this season.

Re: NRL: Round 16

Roosters -3.5 :@ Up by 10 minutes to go and allow 2 tries in, especially one in the last minute. Lack of intensity to close them down and they cop the game winning try Titans win by 13+ margin :@
Warriors got out of jail in awefull conditions and Gold Coast showed they are a very average team this year.
