Re: Horse Laying Focus

Lay STEFANKI (5.00 Lingfield) £49.64 @ 3.0
I was with you on this one. Absolutely nothing pointed to it winning. Fortunately for me, I wrote this one down but as one to watch, didn't actually lay it. Did it well in the end, but nothing suggested that it would do so.

Re: Horse Laying Focus Since I am just following you blindly cause I am a degen and know close to nothing about horse racing and horse racing markets. I have some questions. I layed Rosco @ 5.1 but shortly after the price started to fall down to like 4.6 or something to back it and then it drifted back to 6 to back it and all this is before the race. What is the reason for these fluctuations in prices?

Re: Horse Laying Focus Results STEFANKI :@ ROSKO FLYER :@ Yes AJ, Stefanki shouldn't have won on its previous form, but obviously has shown improvement at home and was reasonably well backed. The exchanges can see quite a lot of fluctuation close to the off. Large bookmaking concerns are laying off liabilities which can see fluctuations etc. As in normal betting prices are more often than not governed by the amount of money wagered on the horse. All I can say Zibbit is, decide the price you are happy with and put it up. If the price drifts you won't get it matched. If it shortens you still get the same profit. It's a hard game is laying but if you lay at the price you are happy with then that's the best you can do.
