avongirl
I can't see it on their web site as yet, but announced in the new mag is this year's Grand Prix series, which is on InterPoker. Starts next week. Not got the mag with me so can't post up full details but from memory there's a variety of freerolls with $1000 added. avongirl
Re: Poker Player Grand Prix at InterPoker The UK's most popular freeroll series is back, in association with InterPoker.com Attention! The PokerPlayer Grand Prix is back. And this time it’s war! We’ve donned some standard issue uniforms and are awaiting your advances in a new poker conflict. The rendezvous? InterPoker.com. The mission? To evade, trap and defeat fellow readers in a series of ten freeroll tournaments. To the victors belong the spoils, but the losers will face the firing squad. When the freerolls are finished we’ll enlist the ten winners and top 30 on the leaderboard into the live grand final, where there’ll be $10,000 up for grabs. Over the top, lads! How To Play STEP 1: Download the free software from www.InterPoker.com and open a real money account. You don’t need to deposit any money to play. STEP 2: Go to the ‘Multi tourney/Private’ section of the InterPoker lobby and look for ‘PP GrandPrix’. We’ve printed the dates for all the freerolls on the right. STEP 3: Register up to 48 hours before the event starts using the relevant password. We’ll print the most current password each month in the mag. The Freerolls Register up to 48 hours before each freeroll using the passwords below (all start times are UK) Freeroll #1 Monday, March 8, 8pm PASSWORD FOUND IN THE MARCH ISSUE OF POKERPLAYER MAGAZINE Freeroll #2 Monday, March 22, 8pm PASSWORD FOUND IN THE MARCH ISSUE OF POKERPLAYER MAGAZINE Freeroll #3 Monday, April 5, 8pm Freeroll #4 Monday, April 19, 8pm (turbo) Freeroll #5 Monday, May 3, 8pm Freeroll #6 Monday, May 17, 8pm (short-handed) Freeroll #7 Monday, June 7, 8pm Freeroll #8 Monday, June 21, 8pm (Omaha) Freeroll #9 Monday, July 5, 8pm Freeroll #10 Sunday, July 18, 4pm (deep)
avongirl
Re: Poker Player Grand Prix at InterPoker For those of you who don't read the T&Cs, just a warning that InterPoker uses ECash (same as DTD) which will make a charge on any funds in your account if you don't make a transaction every 90 days. happyhornet
Re: Poker Player Grand Prix at InterPoker Last time this ran, wasn't the password leaked onto a variety of foreign forums? I'm sure that was the reason I didn't play. I recall in previous years there was about 400 (legitimate) runners, and it doubled last year.:unsure Question for anyone that did play - how did Poker Player/ the poker site (Betfred?) get round this with regards to payout on the night and points for the whole competition? i'm lucky
Re: Poker Player Grand Prix at InterPoker If I remember right they don't pay out on the night they go through the list and delete the ones that shouldn't be playing. And move everyone up. But I still don't think thats any good when you get knocked out early by someone who isn't suppose to be playing it anyway.
teaulc
Re: Poker Player Grand Prix at InterPoker all the sites have the capability to block non uk/roi players just like p/stars do, they just choose not to as it makes the tourney look good with the numbers, they dont give a fig about t&c`s

There where no foreigners at the live event - apart from a couple of Scots and Welsh. So the league points weren't handed out to foreign players - and I believe they UK Players where moved up accordingly. However pretty sure the cash prizes on the night were still paid when an East European cashed

I think this is another one I shan't bother with. My sub to the mags finish this month. Can't be bothered to renew them as I don't get time to read them any more.
