3.40 Lingfield Tough race to call with many of these capable of performing at this level. Dens gift has only won since dec 07 and good runs seemed to come to an abrupt halt last time out and looks worth opposing now. Pegasus again another front runner with a good second to Mr willis on penultimate start an a decent win infront of dens gift, only up 3lb for that effort and looks fairs and considering his age he looks open to more improvement. Presence of other front runners though will be tougher. With the presence of plenty of front runners the pace is likely to be strong and could fall into the hands of Red Somerset who has found his winning stride again winning last time out up 6lb for that but still well handicapped on form last winter when winning off a 3lb higher mark than todays. If he fails it could play to Thunderball who likely to track the pace today with so many front runners and he has been seen to best effect when able to do that and won nicely on penultimate start up 3lb and racing over a trip to far last time should be better back at a mile today! 0.5pt win thunderball 6/1 bet365 0.5pt win red somerset 5/1 bet365 4.10 Lingfield Lady kent looks massively over priced at 9/2 by bet365 she has run a couple of respectable efforts for her new trainer and looks well handicapped on form from ireland, wide draw wont help this prominent sort but she appears to be knocking on the door currently and worth a chance. Should she not turn up Make amends makes the most appeal she did beat Grann Mcphee last time out but that was Mcphee's seasonal first run so excuses, she is up 4lb and will need a career best now but clearly in good heart. At a big price Blue Eyed Eloise would be of interest hasnt been seen for nearly 2 years but same yard still have her and runs off same mark as last time out win over CD, good aw record and any money for her would increase my interest. 1pt win Granny mcphee 0.5pt win Make Amends 0.25pt e/w Blue Eyed Eloise

Re: Lingfield 23rd Feb (AW) 3.40 Ling - Thunderball - win @ 13/2 BOG with Stan James CD winner who returns here and back to a mile after a crack at 10 furlongs last time. In that race he quickened clear then faded at the finish, suggesting he didn't get the trip but had to ability to quicken away from the field at around the mile mark Couple of front runners in the race who might set it up for a 'tracker' A few old regulars in the field like Alfresco, Gallantry, Dens gift, Red Somerset, Trafalgar. They're all ok and will win occasionally but are well exposed My selection is relatively lightly raced and quite possibly still on the up. Pegasus Again is a worry for me, but hopefully he'll be scrapping for the lead with Dens Gift and ruin each others chances
