Nicholls / King / Henderson not firing yet?

Recommended Posts

It was evident last week that Alan Kings horses are a couple of weeks from hitting form, a couple of their runners just looked one paced in the closing stages, again today a well regarded novice was left behind over the last couple of hurdles. The Henderson yard has struggled since his comeback, his fakenham winner yesterday was lucky to win when was left a present at the last fence, i seem to recall a interview he gave saying that he was a run short for most of his horses. Paul Nicholls had a nightmare today, a few hot pots getting beat at Chepstow and his Aintree runners getting well beat, I think Five Dream was his only winner from loads of runners. I think Hobbs and Pipe along with the welsh guys Williams and Vaughan are the ones to be with for a couple of weeks maybe, is it no coincidence that the three trainers in the title of this thread are all in form when the big festival in March comes around? I just asked the question because all of their runners are pretty poor value first time out, maybe the soft ground caught out their inferior fitness on their debuts? If thats so then its surprising they are not fit enough to do themselves justice coming from such good yards. It will be interesting to see their runners over the next few days to see if this week has just been a blip or are they really just getting a run into them. One or two of the Nicholls runners were well backed today so they were expected to run well by someone.

I backed a few of them as well :puke Five Dream couldn't "not score" either, following the falls of Noble Alan and (I forget the other who fell).
