Event Petra Kvitova v Patty Schnyder
Selection Petra Kvitova
Strength 10/10
Date 20/10/2009
Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 1.70 (Back)
Reasoning Kvitova looks a solid price. She played good tennis lack week and has lots of power for Schnyder. Schnyder not performing too well and at times in matches doesn't seem interested. Retirement may be coming for her while Kvitova should be hungry for another good week playing this well.

Event Anna-Lena Groenefeld v Katarina Srebotnik
Selection Lay Katarina Srebotnik (Lay)
Strength 10/10
Date 20/10/2009
Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 3.95 (Lay)
Reasoning Srebotnik struggling on comeback and in interviews saying shoulder still hurts and she can't serve properly. Last week dropped serve easily against Suarez Navarro. Groenefeld good indoor player, form is OK, she should win this match easily.

Event Robert Kendrick v Oscar Hernandez
Selection Oscar Hernandez
Strength 10/10
Date 20/10/2009
Bookmaker/Price Betfair @ 3.40 (Back)
Reasoning Hernandez seems like a very big price here. Kendrick is very average and record outside of USA is poor. Hernandez has been doing OK in clay challengers recently. He is bad on hard courts ... but not that bad. In fact, last year indoors he beat Minar and Acasuso in this tournament so has points to defend. He also took a set off Blake in Basel after beating Dlouhy which is pretty good. No way he should be this big of a price.

Event Igor Andreev v Robby Ginepri
Selection Igor Andreev
Strength 10/10
Date 20/10/2009
Bookmaker/Price Skybet @ 1.66 (Back)
Reasoning OK Andreev poor form but this is great chance to change it around. This is Kremlin Cup, very important for Russians and Andreev has good record here. Ginepri still not showing good form, away from USA can't trust him at all. Andreev should be bigger favourite.

Re: Tennis: ATP Moscow/Stockholm and WTA Moscow/Luxembourg Romania currently has 5 players in the Top 100, led by number 39 Sorana Cirstea who is about to face her compatriot Monica Niculescu, who is ranked 84th on the WTA standings. The two ladies have met three times in the past, and Cirstea currently leads 2:1. The has also won their only meeting in 2009, at Hertogenbosch in three sets. Cirstea's losses keep piling up Sorana Cirstea has lost her last 5 matches, and she was eliminated in the opening round on 4 straight tournaments, including Linz last week, at the hands of lower ranked Goerges of Germany. It is a shame that Cirstea's season has to end this way, after she played in the quarterfinals of Roland Garros and the semifinals of Marbella, but the Romanian is just 19 years old and she will have a chance to recover in 2010. Niculescu has mostly disappointed in 2009 About a year ago Monica Niculescu was at her career high, number 47 in the world, and she seemed to be another solid player on the rise. Unfortunately, she fell almost 40 positions on the WTA rankings since then, during a season that included negative record overall, and just one quartefinal appearance (Strasbourg). Last week at Linz she had several early breaks against Radwanska, but started making a lot of mistakes, and was eliminated in straight sets. Betting verdict Cirstea is in terrible form and it is no wonder that the odds on her win are almost as high as Niculescu's. 188Bet offers the odds of 1.45 if Niculescu can take at least a set. We do not expect an epic match here. Source Freebetting.net (Link approved by Paul Ross)
