18:05 Kempton: Joss Stick 3pts win 14/1 VC Bet Joss Stick has a plumb draw and if he can bounce out the stalls, he should go close. He has won off 66 in the past and is on a mark of 55 today. Changed handlers a few times since, yet appears to retain most of his ability with a win at Brighton a couple of runs ago, (got stuck in the mud there last time out). Usually runs in Class 6 events, so this slight step up in class is a concern. On the plus side, his trainer has two wins from last fourteen runners with a couple of places, and claimer takes a further three pounds off. Add in the high draw and Joss Stick looks worth a bet at 14/1.

Re: Kempton 14th August (Evening) 6.05 Garstang - win The more fancied ones in tonights race all ran against each other in a similar race over CD back in June. Garstang won that one easily by four lengths with Silver Prelude in 2nd and Bluebok in 3rd. Since then Garstang has run a couple of times on turf on softish ground but that doesn't really suit him, so expect a better run tonight. As often happens I can't make a lot of sense of the Sporting Life Official Ratings, but he appears to be 6lbs higher than that win in June. That's not too much of a worry with 4 lengths in hand and he can carry weight no problem, 9-10 for that last win and 9-9 tonight There's a couple of front runners in the race in Lethal and Ten Down and my fellow likes to sit behind the pace and swoop late so the race should be set up for him.
