Re: WC 2010 Qualifiers (Europe) 10 Jun 2009

what das lay mean?
What lay means cisco, is when the bookie sets the price for any bet and puts the money up for people to back that selection. This is known as laying the odds..ie; when Jackjarvis says lay Russia, he means put up the money on the exchange at certain odds for people to back Russia against his money. He obviosley thinks Russian will not win the game. Hope this explains.

Re: WC 2010 Qualifiers (Europe) 10 Jun 2009 yes im still celebrating mate but tough season ahead next year. I think much will rest on how the dutch start tonights game. if they come out sluggish i feel a draw will be on the cards. Norway are a counter attacking team which is why there home results are poor as they need to press the game and they arent great at that, but sit back and soak up and counter is there style. With good strikers and some good midfielders although id say Holland 2 Norway 1 with a saver on 1-1

Re: WC 2010 Qualifiers (Europe) 10 Jun 2009 Macedonia v Iceland @ 1.85 When Iceland hosted Macedonia they've won the match completely undeserved,Macedonia was better in every part of the field but very unlucky don't using any of three or four 100% chances to score. Now the players,as they say wanna revenge and with the good mood new coach and new tactic in the team and with almost 30 celsious at the moment in Skopje,I think they will revenge.Macedonia will start agressive and offensive from the first minute said Macedonian coach with three forwards upfront, that can not broke the Norge defence four days ago.Iceland had big probs in their team before coming in Skopje and Gudhjonsen plus four standard players are out for this game, they'll play with 4-5-1 tactics orriented completely on defending.Iceland coach said that it will be imposible for his team to make a good result if there isn't rain or at least clowdy weather and as I said ATM is very hot here! It's obvious that Macedonian's have the quality and the weather on their side,8/10 for home win for me.I'll have a smaller punt on Macedonia HT/FT also.

Re: WC 2010 Qualifiers (Europe) 10 Jun 2009 Macedonia - Iceland under 1.5 (3.00 @ bet365) These two teams sit on the bottom of their group with wins hard to come by. Macedonia have only scored 2 goals in their 5 games, with both goals coming at home, starting with a 1-0 win to bat Soctland and then losing 2-1 to Holland, while they have yet to score on the road. As for Iceland, they have only scored 6 goals so far and rely on Gudjohnsen to do so, but the Macedonians have showed that there defence is fairly solid and don't give much away. Iceland won the reverse fixture 1-0 in a cagey affiar with both sides not giving much away so look to another closely fought game given that a loss by either side will most probably end their chances of coming second in this group to go into a playoff with another team. Sweden - Malta under 3.5 (2.10 @ centrebet) Sweden have struggled to score goals in this campaign as in their 5 games they have scored 2 goals (which came in their 2-1 home win against Hungary) but also have only conceded 2 goals too. Even on Saturday they lost 1-0 to Denmark with a penalty miss indicative of their performance in front of goal. They face a Malta side that has not scored a goal so far and not likely to, but have lost 3-0 away to Albania (with 2 goals in the last 10 minutes), 3-0 away to Denmark, 3-0 away to Hungary (2 goals in the last 10 minutes) with a 4-0 home loss to Portugal where they have conceded more than 3 goals in the game. Like the look of this game going under given Sweden's poor goalscoring Ukraine -2.5 (2.02 @ bet365) Ukraine will be quite happy to havecome away from Croatia with a 2-2 draw against a team that generally has a good defence so they should find things easier to score even more goals as the Kazaks come off a 4-0 home loss to England on the weekend. Croatia beat Kazakhstan 3-0 at home while England beat them 5-1 at home so the Kazaks have conceded goals on the road. Ukraine beat them 3-1 in the reverse fixture and with a win here taking them to equal 2nd with Croatia in the group, they are 6 goals behind so they will be looking to score a few goals as goal difference may come into play in the end. They should be able to score at least 3 here. England -4.5 (1.86 @ pinnacle) With Capello determined to ensure there is no complacency inthe squad look to Englandd to continue on their way to South Africa with a huge win here. They are coming off a 4-0 road win over Kazakhstan and now face an Andorra side even though beat them 2-0 in the reverse fixture it should have been more. Andorra have lost 3-0 away to Kazakhstan, 4-0 away to Croatia and on the weekend 5-1 away to Belarus, so look to England to run up a big score here Finland - Russia under 2.5 (1.72 @ centrebet) Two teams who are fighting for second spot face off here in what should be a pretty close and tight contest. Finland with a win here can jump over the Russians into scond spot while the Russians can strengthen their hold over second spot and be only a point behind the leaders Germany with a win here. Finland probably had an eye on this game in coming from behind to beat Liechtenstein 2-1 at home on the weekend while Russia only beat them 1-0 on the road. The Russians have not conceded a goal in their last 3 games in these qualifiers and only 2 goals all up which was to Germany. They beat Finland 3-0 at home but expect this to be a close affair, and they will be happy to take away a point here to maintain second spot. Can't see many goals given the nature of this game aas both teams will be looking to avoid defeat with the Fins the only likely team to go for the win but face a very solid defence to beat Faroe Islands - Serbia under 2.5 (2.46 @ pinnacle) Top plays bottom but it shouldn't be a walk over that is expected as the Serbs should win this game but it is doubtful that they will score many here. They beat the Faroes 2-0 at home with an 88th minute goal sealing the win but the Faroes have been tough to play at home, as they have lost only 1-0 to Romania, drew 1-1 with Austria, while also losing 1-0 away to Lithuania so all their games have gone under. As for Serbia, their defence is very solid so it is doubtful that the Faroes will score but they will be keen to score and win this game to extend their lead at the top, but they have been guilty of missing some very good chances so a big win is unlikely here Holland - Norway under 2.5 (1.89 @ pinnacle) Top plays bottom in this game with Norway needing a win to stay in play off contention but unlikekly to do so while Holland have strolled through this group and expected to do so again, as even though they have qualified, they should still put in a good performance here, as so far at home, they have beaten Iceland 2-0, Scotland 3-0, Macedonia 4-0 and are coming off a 2-1 away win over Iceland who scored in the 88th minute to cause some concern. Holland beat Norway in the reverse fixture 1-0 and the Norwegians have not scored in their last 3 fixtures. Both sets of defences don't concede many goals as Norway has drawn 0-0 in their last 2 away games, so while Holland are not likely to score 3 here, nor is Norway expected to allow that many.

Re: WC 2010 Qualifiers (Europe) 10 Jun 2009 England V Andorra Hard game to find any real value due to bookies having this game marked up at very slim pickings. The handicap line is -4.5 and this is not tempting me enough to have a go at due to Engalnd already more or less qualified. Andorra will be up for this game more so than their last trip to Belarus where they got beat 5 v 1. They have a tag as a team of being rather over exhuberent in the challenge which could put some England players off in 50/50's for fear of injury. Motivation for Andorra here will be to stifle their opponents here and not be on the end of a battering. The only worthwhile bet and outside bet here for pure value: Prediction: Fixed spreads - Bookings - 25 - 45 inc. @2.75 VC Bet **** (yellow = 10 / red = 25) Although Andorra have a reputation for kicking opponents on inspection of their last few games they have consistently received 2 or 3 yellow cards per game: 06/08/09 - Belarus v Andorra - 3 yellow cards to Andorra none to Belarus. 01/04/09 - Andorra v Croatia - 2 yellow cards to Andorra 1 to Croatia 15/10/08 - Croatia v Andorra - 1 yellow to Croatia 3 to Andorra There has been a pattern of few cards to Andorra and not what you would expect from the tag they have as a team. The referee tonight is B Nijhuis from Holland who is fairly reserved. No Goalscorer @51.00 VC Bet * On first inspection of this prediction you would think NO CHANCE that England could fail to register against the minnows of Andorra. However this bet takes into account if the first goal is an own goal or in the UNLIKELY event of a 0 v 0 scoreline. :ok

Re: WC 2010 Qualifiers (Europe) 10 Jun 2009 I am also on Russia tonight. They have to win versus Finland and Wales to have a real chance for the group winning. They´ll face Germany in Moscow in the last match (10th october). Guus Hiddink miss two players. Bilyadetinov and Torbinskiy both from Lok. Moscow. Finlands defender Pasanen (W.Bremen) is questionable infront of this match. The over 2.5 for the three lions looks also sure, but with around 1.10 it´s too less for me.
