After the game, Turkish squad will travel to French city Lyon for the friendly with France and set their base camp in Sofitel Bellecour Hotel. France-Turkey match will take place on 5 June Friday at Stade de Gerland in Lyon at 21.00 (local) and will be officiated by German referee Manuel Grafe. *** Pretty decent call-up from Turkish coach Fatih Terim. On the other hand, Vogts declares that he will not risk some doubtful players. But I have no idea which ones these are.. Judging by possible line-up of home team and -on the contrary- the possible motivation issue here (since Turkey will fly to France after this game to play there with Frenchies), I cannot get to any conclusion.. Any opinions?

(ciao gio! Mi piace incontrare fratelli italiani qua! :cheers)

At this stage of the season I can't see the players putting too much into a friendly in June. Friendlies at this stage always throw up random results. Ordinarily, Turkey should win comfortably, but today I could not confidently bet on them at those pathetic odds.
Gio
Re: Friendly: Turkey - Azerbaijan (02.06.09) yes bookies always consider standard favourites without injury&supended news or game sense.I'm with you Jase,i will appreciate these high odss for Aze
Mozzi
Re: Friendly: Turkey - Azerbaijan (02.06.09) I'd be careful with this game. Turkey don't have to turn up or play well to comfortably beat Azerbaijan, regardless of the players playing or not. Azerbaijan are only good in their own country and friends or not, Turkey will want to take a win into their qualifiers. I fancy 3-0.
