Re: Copa Libertadores ( 17-19 march ) Dep Cuenca v Dep Táchira Deportivo Cuenca are high flying at the moment with three wins in a row ( in Primera A won v El Nacional Quito 2:3 away, in copa libertadores won at home v Guaraní Asunción 4:0 and in Primera A again at home won v LDU-Portoviejo 3:0. Nice results and I see here home win at @1.60 and over 2.5 at evens with Victor Chandler. On the other side we have team from Venezuela on form too with two wins in a row ( both of them in Primera Division v Minervén Bolívar 0:1 AW and one more AW v Mineros de Guayana 1:5 ! Home win @1.60 ( 6/10 ) Correct score 2:1 @ 7.00 ( 2/10 ) Over 2.5 at @2.00 ( 7/10 )

Re: Copa Libertadores ( 17-19 march ) Thanks Mike:ok Defensor v São Paulo What we can say about this match, we have team from Uruguay v team from Brazil, hmmm very interesting situation. In my opinion I see low scoring game, under 2.5 is my best option. Firstly, Defensor play very nice, has good defence - from 09.05.2007 Defensor has played six games in copa libertadores and all of them ended under 2.5 goals. Secondly, he plays exellent at the moment with 4 wins ( three in a row ) and 1 draw in Primera Division.On the other side, Sao Paulo had in last three one draw and two wins ( Copa Libertadores ) - in Paulista A1 have three wins and two loses ( both away and went under 2.5 ). Under 2.5 at @1.80 Paddy ( 8/10 ) Defensor Sporting (0,0.5) AH at @1.85 VCBet ( 5/10 ) Correct score 0:0 at @9.50 VCBet ( 2/10 ) Correct score 1:0 at @8.00 VCBet ( 2/10 )

Re: Copa Libertadores ( 17-19 march ) Agree with you on the Defensor/Sao Paulo Under. A 1-0 Victory here would suffice for Sao Paulo just get out of their alive and know that come the reverse fixture they will go all out. The big one for me is going to be Boca Juniors. This group is still all open although I feel Guarani is just finished. However you got to remember Boca has 2 games in hand here along with Guarani. Having watch Boca the last few weeks, they are starting to click, finish has been an issue but I do believe their midfield is strong enough to withstand any sort of pressure from the home squad. From my experience with Copa, these big teams want to qualify as fast as possible. When given any clear cut opportunity they will take it because the run of cup play and domestic play can take it's toll. Boca Juniors ML @ 1.75 (5 Units) San Lorenzo/Libertad Over 2.5 @ 1.90 (2.5 Units) Boyaca Chico/Univ de Chile Under 2.5 @ 1.80 (2.5 Units) Defensor/Sao Paul0 Under 2.5 @ 1.80 (2.5 Units) BOL Everyone will be back hopefully to catch the San Luis game

Re: Copa Libertadores ( 17-19 march ) Boca possible start line: Abbondanzieri; Hugo Ibarra, Julio Cáceres, Juan Forlín, Roncaglia; Fabián Vargas, Sebastián Battaglia, Krupoviesa; Juan Román Riquelme; Mouche y Figueroa. Boca without Martin Palermo according to their official web site

Re: Copa Libertadores ( 17-19 march ) I took Club Nacional earlier at 6/5 and their odds are still rising, 6/4 on Betfair!!! That is a huge price and must be based on River Plate's name alone as they have done nothing special in this competition, let's look at the home / away records;

12-04-07Copa Liberta…W Club Nacional de Football2 - 0 CA Vélez Sársfield
03-05-07Copa Liberta…W Club Nacional de Football3 - 2 Necaxa
22-05-07Copa Liberta…D Club Nacional de Football2 - 2 Cúcuta Deportivo
06-03-08Copa Liberta…W Club Nacional de Football3 - 0 Flamengo
03-04-08Copa Liberta…W Club Nacional de Football1 - 0 Bolognesi Tacna
24-04-08Copa Liberta…W Club Nacional de Football3 - 1 Cienciano Cusco
01-05-08Copa Liberta…D Club Nacional de Football0 - 0 São Paulo
12-02-09Copa Liberta…W Club Nacional de Football2 - 1 Univ San Martin Lima
22-02-07Copa Liberta…W CD Colo Colo1 - 2 CA River Plate
15-03-07Copa Liberta…D Liga de Quito1 - 1 CA River Plate
05-04-07Copa Liberta…L Caracas FC3 - 1 CA River Plate
13-02-08Copa Liberta…L Univ San Martin Lima2 - 0 CA River Plate
13-03-08Copa Liberta…W Universidad Católica1 - 2 CA River Plate
03-04-08Copa Liberta…L América4 - 3 CA River Plate
01-05-08Copa Liberta…L CA San Lorenzo de Almagro2 - 1 CA River Plate
06-03-09Copa Liberta…L Univ San Martin Lima2 - 1 CA River Plate
River Plate have been incredibly poor in this competition playing away from home losing 5/6 games whilst Nacional have a very strong home record with 6-2-0 record in last 8 games! So far in this current campaign;
12-02-09Copa Liberta…W Club Nacional de Football2 - 1 Univ San Martin Lima
18-02-09Copa Liberta…W Nacional Asunción0 - 3 Club Nacional de Football
13-02-09Copa Liberta…W CA River Plate1 - 0 Nacional Asunción
06-03-09Copa Liberta…L Univ San Martin Lima2 - 1 CA River Plate
Club Nacional are leading their group winning both games whilst River showed yet again their frailty on the road. Whilst i've backed the 6/5 already earlier my conclusion; Back Club Nacional @ 6/4 Betfair 8/10

Re: Copa Libertadores ( 17-19 march ) :clap Exellent post. I took your advice after having a look at the respective league tables and there looked like there would only be 1 winner. 3 - 0 Thanks

Re: Copa Libertadores ( 17-19 march ) Same after the first half i fell asleep. Thought there wasn't much in it getting quite niggly it must have opened up a good bit in the second. River looked really poor and will probably be good to back against them when they are on the road again!

Re: Copa Libertadores ( 17-19 march ) Not sure if it opened up in the second as after checking the times of goals, the third one was in the 90th minute so could well be a quick break as River were trying to get one back, and the second in the 70th minute could well be a bit of a fluke like the first one - can't imagine that the nervous nature of the match changed too much after the break. The home side probably continued to boss the midfield and the game, waiting for openings, and River were most probably as impotent as in the first half;)
