Chepstow 12/2

I fancy Sam Thomas to have a couple of winners today, He rides five horses and all look to have a very strong chance. Will back them in singles, doubles and trebles. He has been in the winners of late also, from his last 10 rides he has had 5 winners. He rides for Nicholls and one for Venita Williams who's horses are in good form. Rides: 13:40 - Prince Sabaah @ 4/1 14:10 - Super Formen @ 15/8 14:45 - The Gossmoor Yank @ 11/10 15:20 - Osako Dairy @ 3/1 16:30 - Hivikos @ 3/1 All with bet365 (bog)

Re: Chepstow 12/2

I havent even bothered looking at the meeting yet, as Ive wasted hours this season studying for meetings that haven't yet been given the go ahead. Hopefully it will pass its inspection @ 10amm and I will look then. Betfair won't load for me, does anyone have the odds on Chepstow going ahead?
Ah shit I thought it passed the 8:30am inspection and that was it. :wall Betfair is down for everyone.... Fingers crossed it goes ahead.

Re: Chepstow 12/2

15-20 Chepstow

Presenting Copper is a bit of a course expert here with his career form at Chepstow reading 12112 with the boldened results coming over fences and the blue coming this season as well so chances are he should go well again here. Has had 4 runs this season; those 2 already mentioned and a 7th on his opener and a win lto at Cheltenham, although that came over hurdles. He goes off just 2lbs higher than his last chase outing which was a 2nd here getting beaten by 8L to Herecomesthetruth (who has gone on and won a grade 1 since). He really loves heavy ground so he will lap up the conditions here and really should get another win under his belt.

Can’t really see much else value in this race apart from maybe Mister Potter at forecast of 12/1, but Bet 365 are currently only offering 9’s so I shall let that one pass. Selection: 15-20 - Presenting Copper - 10pts Win @ 2/1 (Sporting Bet)

Re: Chepstow 12/2 1.40 Seefin Mountain @3.25 Nap ***** Paddypower The ground is the important factor here and Seefin Mountain is by Linamix which is a well known fact that horses by Linamix love heavy / soft ground. Andrew Turnell is a decent enough trainer to have waited for an opportunity like today. The 2nd Favourite Prince Sabbah is getting backed in because of the Venetia Williams factor, pure and simple... On studying the form Prince Sabbah won't even see where Seefin Mountain has gone today! - Prince Sabbah was battered 27 lengths last time out in a class 4 hurdle by Eradicate! - Seefin Mountain was beaten 4 lengths in a decent race by a decent Alan King horse in a class 3. Seefin Mountain should be odds on for this race however if punters are mug enough to latch onto a Venetia Williams horse who strictly by the book can't beat Seefin Mountain, then more fool them! Things do happen in racing where a horse can decide it doesn't feel like it or being brought down in a race, however this should be as near damn the best bet of today barring any mishaps of course... :ok

Re: Chepstow 12/2 No massive reasoning, just a few lines All prices were taken with Bet365 as BOG 1:40 - Intensifier E/W @ 9/2 2 and 3 runs ago were on soft ground and he didnt show very much at all, but showed great improvement LTO when finshing second on heavy surface behind Carrickboy, similar improvement again could see him land this. 2:10 - Jigsaw Dancer E/W @ 11/2 The makings of a high class chaser. Wasnt disgraced in losing to subsequent winner Heathcote, and ahead of Oiseau de Nuit and Farmers Lad 2 starts ago, who have since run with a fair amount of credit. Will appreciate the ground, and looks overpirced to me. 2:45 - The Gossmoor Yank WIN @ 11/10 C&D winner, and the main market rival has never seen a hurdle in public or been as far as 2m3f. Providing he handles heavy, the selection should be able to win and win well. 3:20 - Presenting Copper WIN @ 7/4 Hardly an original choice but he really should win, or definitely go close. Course specialist, who loves the mud. Only defeat in the last 3 races came at the hands of Herecomesthetruth, who has since gone on and landed a nice touch ahead of Massini's Maguire. Looks the one to beat. 3:55 - Pretty Star WIN @ 11/4 Backed him LTO, when he just failed to peg back Strawberry. Hopefully Aiden Coleman will race him a bit closer to the pace today, and if he does then there is no reason why he cannot go on and score against a field where there are little question marks over a few. Notabotherforme is a live danger, but looks a little short. 4:30 - Finmere E/W @ 25/1 Taking a chance with this one as as yet none of the other horses in the field look as if they will really appreciate 3m on heavy whereas the selection was still going well enough when finishing 4th on heavy LTO, and if he gets his jumping together could very well get himself involved at a big price. Will definitely stay the 3m, its whether or not he is quick enough. 5:00 - Secret Stash E/W @ 8/1 Finished a somewhat distant 5th on debut on heavy ground at Newbury, but ran well in snatches. Bound to improve for that run and getting weight from most of the principals, as long as there is some improvement, it could be enough to be in the frame as we know the animal will handle the ground fine.

Re: Chepstow 12/2 CHEPSTOW 3:20 Bring Me Sunshine (IRE) Winner of this event last year. Raced in a Grade 3 HcCh at Cheltenham lto; 7/13 by 40 lengths on Heavy Ground. He finished better than Turko (8th), Mister McGoldrick, Reveillez, Stan, Lidjo De Rouge, and Private Be were all pulled-up. I think his effort was solid enough to be considered here. He made headway at 4 out and was in touch at the next before blundering and weakening at 2 out. It was a 2m5f race so this shorter trip looks ideal. Tom Scudamore is booked and the two once raced together in a Listed Hurdle here in '07; 7/14 by 13L. 33-1 just looks like a good price. 1pt ew @ 33-1 SkyBet

Re: Chepstow 12/2 THE GOSSMOOR YANK 2.45 Chepstow. 1 point win. Should be too good for these. Been waiting to see if there's any decent interest in the couple of main dangers, but there doesn't seem to be too much and so we should be able to bounce along and win this race. The ground's unknown, but our class should see us through.

4th, and two seconds...Wouldn't exactly say he is riding like a donkey but if you think he is. :ok I am sorry if you are losing 'a packet'. I do not mean to put up losers. :unsure

Absolutely no need to come on here to make someone feel guilty. It is your choice what you back and whether you follow any tips. :ok

Re: Chepstow 12/2 :lol He ignored yours RB, I posted the only winner on the thread (I think) and take all the stick! :loon Pretty poor selections today on this thread it has to be said but imo it gets no worse than this and most days the threads are in profit.

Re: Chepstow 12/2

hopefully that has put denons bank back up.
As a mod, I wont say what I am thinking with regard to that comment :tongue2 That was a hell of a race though, Secret Stash tried to run out at the very 1st bend, lost about 10 lengths and still won with any amount in hand. Very, very impressive. No wonder Timmy Murphy wanted to ride it :loon

1:40 - Intensifier E/W @ 9/2 ==== 2nd @ 4/1 :clap 2:10 - Jigsaw Dancer E/W @ 11/2 ==== P/U, Disappointing 2:45 - The Gossmoor Yank WIN @ 11/10 ==== 2nd @ 6/5, Very one paced, disappointing, but perhaps beaten by a good horse. 3:20 - Presenting Copper WIN @ 7/4 ==== 7th @ 9/4, Ran a shocker, never looked like landing a blow, even when travelling well. 3:55 - Pretty Star WIN @ 11/4 ==== 3rd @ 4/1 :@, I still believe had he not made the running and sat just off the pace, then he would have won, tired because he made all the running, travelling best of all 3 out before fading. 4:30 - Finmere E/W @ 25/1 ==== 6th @ 12/1, Backed off the board, Looked like being involved, ran in snatches but made no impression near the end of the race. Will be an interesting horse in modest handicaps. 5:00 - Secret Stash E/W @ 8/1 ==== Won @ 6/1, brilliant display, and given a fantastic ride by TJ Murphy. :clap Secret Stash stopped me making a massive loss on the day, so a small loss but good just to grab a winner and beating SP on both my winning bets today was also a bonus.
