Re: Kempton 18/1 16:20 - Turkish Sultan Another horse that I have been following and now back at Kempton where he has ran well in the past, Stepping back in trip to a mile and he has won at this distance in the past. I expect him to put in a better performence then he did lto and should go alot closer. @ 10/1 Bet365 (bog)

Re: Kempton 18/1 2.20 Kempton The Magic Rio is top-rated for this claimer and although he probably isn't as good as his rating suggests, he may just have enough to win this poor looking race. He won nursery handicaps off 79 and 84 and if he is realistically rated a little above that, accounting for a little bit of subsequent improvement, he may just have enough to beat 73-rated Just the Lady, the Dandy runner who he concedes 5 lbs to today. The last named picked up a couple of turf handicaps over the summer and joined the sprint king out of a seller in September. It would hardly be a surprise to see this one win given the trainers reputation, but he returns from a 93-day break and Magic of Rio, who has been kept on the go over the winter, could finally bring trainer Peter Grayson off the cold list. Evs SJ 2.50 Kempton War and Peace was heavily tipped up by other PL members on his last start and finished a decent second to sharp improver River Kirov in a handicap. He was headed late on so the drop back to the minimum trip should help, and his berth in stall 8 is handy to suit his running style. A former Ballydoyle inmate, he has been running consistently and must be up to landing a race sooner of later. 7/4 Bet 365 3.20 Kempton Doncasaque has struggled a little back in handicaps. Barwell Bridge may be seen in a better light now handicapping, although is closely matched with Doncasaque on recent form. Supernoverre has saved all best form for plating level up to now so is passed over. Perhaps the two most likely winners are Mark Johnston's Bushveld and Gary Moore's Blaise Tower. The former won a maiden in convincing fashion last time out and starts life handicapping off 77. This Cape Cross colt probably has a bit of room for manoevre off that mark, but the lack of form boosts mean I have marginal preference for Blaise Tower, who has been raised only 1 lb for his handicap win last time out. He stayed on well to lead in the final strides so the step up in trip here seems sensible and the plus side of his narrow win (hd) is that he now has to find little improvement to score here off his revised mark. 2/1 Boyle 3.50 Kempton Another poor looking race but perhaps the best of a bad bunch could be the top-weight, Highly Regal. First time blinkers and a step down in trip proved the keys to a comprehensive 9-length success last time out and although the handicapper has reacted with a 12 lb rise, there could be more to come from this son of High Chapparal now he seems to have found a suitable trip. 9/4 Boyle 4.50 Kempton River Kirov is in unbeleivable form and goes for the four timer here. He had a little bit more in hand than the winning margin suggested last time and it will be interesting to see if the second boosts the form earlier on this card. The potential fly in the ointment could be Dvinsky, whose middle name is consistency, and he is very dangerous granted a soft lead, which he could get again here. A 6 lb rise from this lto win makes this tougher, especially with RK in the line up, but if anyone is to spoil the party it could be him. Can be easily backed at 10/1 as a saver to RK. RK 5/4 SJ, 8 pts win Dvinsky 10/1 SJ, 2 pts win

Re: Kempton 18/1 4.50 BRANDYWELL BOY 40/1 BS E/W~ Doesn't win as many as he deserves but always there abouts. Up in grade today but 6f here is ideal and 40's is far to big. 3.50 HI SPEC 20/I Trainers horses are always worth a 2nd look when Adam Kirby is on board and he has a good record with this horse again looks over priced at 20's. 5.20 YORK CLIFF 12/1 On a handy mark and is worth an e/w bet.

Re: Kempton 18/1 KEMPTON PARK 14:50 (BLUE SQUARE CASINO MAIDEN STAKES (CLASS 4)) Horse Name: War And Peace (IRE) Notes:Eyecatcher Great Leighs (A.W.), 29 Dec 2008 6f Handicap (Class 5) (3YO plus) 9 ran Standard Weight 9.1 J F McDonald /Jane Chapple-Hyam pulled hard in rear, wide into straight 2f out, ridden and headway approaching final furlong, ran on to take 3rd towards finish Noted this horse coming extremely wide round the bend losing ground then finding a good turn of foot to finish fast & getting close to the front two & had no right to get so near & going down by a neck in 3rd place with a better draw this horse could have won. Next time out at Wolverhampton 6f was in the lead coming into the straight & went down by only 3/4 of a length to the impressive River Kirov The drop down to 5f & draw will be an advantage today plus the useful P Cosgrave in the saddle for this ex A P O'Brien horse Betfair 13/8

Re: Kempton 18/1 2.20 Just The Lady Assuming she's fit after a 3 month break she'll take all the catching here She's a very speedy filly in low grade races and just pops out of the gate and goes. In this small field I expect her to get an uncontested lead and leave 'em for dead.

Re: Kempton 18/1 1720 amateur riders handicap 1m4f Prince Of Medina 7/1 SportingBet, Blue Square, Skybet Poor race to finish the day, when i first looked at the race i was wanting to back ba dreamflight as trainer/jockey do ok in these events, and hughie morrison is in great form. i looked at ba dreamflights record at kempton....13/13,12/14 and 9/9, different races granted, but not very inspiring for the fav in a few places. shinken otto i reckon is sure to be placed, but i like the quickly turned out prince of medina trained by jim best. back at kempton via a decent effort over further at great leighs on thursday, the gelding has a more inspiring record here reading...2/9,3/12,4/9,5/10,2/14. never won here, but gone close. should be staying on in the latter stages of the race so the draw should be no problem over this distance. hope the claimer stays not too far from the pace, and we should see a big run from the fraam gelding. there was money for this last time at this track, and have a feeling the 7's will be shorter come the race... Win Bet

Re: Kempton 18/1 4.50 Divinsky I can only see two winners of this race depending on how it's run. River Kirov, currently 11/8 and Dvinsky, currently 10/1 Both CD winners, both in cracking form, both up in the weights, both have won in class 4 before My last 3 picks for BBotD, Ivory Silk, Princess Valerina and Smokey Ryder, have all been seeming 'good things' and favourites in AW sprints, and they all got beat. So I'm going back to trying to find one at a bigger price to beat the favourite. Dvinsky fits the bill today !

Re: Kempton 18/1 5.20 - Ardmaddy I think this one might have just been got ready for today. Was in decent form in hudles races last winter and spring and was turned out to win one of these apprentice/amateur rider races on the flat at Wolves Had a long break then came back in December with a run in a class 5 handicap over today's CD, not put in the race, steadied in midfield and ran on when the race was over - so a pretty fresh horse with a run under it's belt Usually runs in class 4 or 5 races, dropped to this class 6 today, has a good overall career record with a win and 8 places from just 17 starts. In these amateur rider races I like to see a lady jockey with the same surname as the trainer...........figuring that the trainer puts a bit extra in to try and get a winner for their little princess............

Re: Kempton 18/1 1720 1m4f apprentice race i have already backed prince of medina at 7/1 for this race, but i have just noticed the money coming for sue princesse trained in county cork...... no run for 679 days, never been on all weather, could be a significant move and i am watching with interest. fits the profile of a nice little touch, i have been in on a few and this is ticking all the right boxes, and i have seen similar stuff from the ronnie o'leary yard. see how it goes but the 14/1 skybet is a brave price, i reckon this will get hammered but could be wrong. small saver bet for me at those odds....

Re: Kempton 18/1 KEMPTON 2:20 Dancing Welcome Well beaten in higher prized Maiden's (3K) last year but i think this race is more like her. Dropped in Class from, stays the same distance and comes in having pelnty of rest. Jockey Luke Morris is booked here. He's not a rider to have many fancied runners and overall is profitable. 13 wins from 103 for +55.08 profit 3/31, +14.50 with 3yo's. His 5f form this year is one win, one second and a seventh from three rides. 3pts ew @ 14-1 Bet365 BOG

Re: Kempton 18/1 4.50 - MUSICAL SCRIPT must have a decent chance of reversing the form with RIVER KIROV from their last C/D meeting . MUSICAL SCRIPT gets a 13lb pull from RIVER KIROV for a 3l beating and was finishing well . 11/2 to win looks decent odds imo but even better is the 2.16 available on Betfair for a place .

Re: Kempton 18/1 A lot of money has come for Vhujon in the 4.50 and for the second Sunday running its pushing Dvinsky's price out. Maybe he is carrying a little bit too much weight but who else will challenge for the lead? Count Ceprano and River Kirov both track the leader. I can't have Vhujon based on recent form, even accounting for a drop in grade. I took 10's this morning, Blue Square (who arent fans of Dvinsky and pushed him out massively last week too) are offering 12's, so gone back in for more. Hopefully he can at least land a place on what has been a miserable day so far!!!
