Taunton 27th Nov

Just an observation rather than a selection, as we all know Andrew Thornton has been a massive help around the Robert Alner yard since the trainer was injured terribly and stood by them through thick and thin. Find it quite interesting that although the Alner's have a race in their honour at Newbury and also have runners that the jockey is at Taunton to ride for two outside stables. He rides one for Mick Channon in the seller (12.35), first time out called Alfredtheordinary, a rare runner for Channon over the sticks. He also rides one for David Arbuthnot called Dominican Monk in the novice chase (1.40). This one looks a fair prospect. Both around 10/1 and maybe worth keeping an eye on.
