I posted this to see what people think is optimal play here to extract most out of the pot. Here I am just hoping the 4th diamond falls and I get paid. I would be willing to push hard if he showed any real strength however min betting all the way 100% says no small/medium flush and with no raise on the river I pretty sure he had no real hand. I have very little experience at this level (have yet to flop nuts before this hand) and have only taken bits and pieces about how players react to a board such as this... Just like to add how shit it is on Paradise you cant see your opp hands once mucked (for me anyways... I would have loved to see his hand) ***** Hand 1276057501 ***** 0.12/0.25 Texas Hold'em (No Limit) - Tuesday, 14 October 2008 4:48:14 AM Turbo TH 68 (Real/Cash Game) Seat 1: Nazzari (21.26) Seat 2: Pistolaa (30.13) Seat 3: JohnnyHP (35.51) Seat 4: he$us (24.38) Seat 5: pedro66 (8.53) Seat 6: RayPenber (40.86) Seat 7: corey77 (26.92) Seat 8: Strato1986 (25.00) Seat 9: Carlito* (7.01) Seat 10: veselinio (32.75) veselinio post SB 0.12 Nazzari post BB 0.25 ** Deal ** Nazzari [N/A, N/A] Pistolaa [N/A, N/A] he$us [N/A, N/A] pedro66 [N/A, N/A] RayPenber [Ad, 7d] corey77 [N/A, N/A] Strato1986 [N/A, N/A] Carlito* [N/A, N/A] veselinio [N/A, N/A] *** Bet Round 1 *** Pistolaa Call 0.25 he$us Fold pedro66 Call 0.25 RayPenber Call 0.25 corey77 Fold Strato1986 Fold Carlito* Fold veselinio Call 0.25 Nazzari Check *** Flop(Board): *** : [Qd, 5d, 4d] *** Bet Round 2 *** veselinio Bet 0.25 Nazzari Fold Pistolaa Fold pedro66 Call 0.25 RayPenber Call 0.25 *** Turn(Board): *** : [Qd, 5d, 4d, 10c] *** Bet Round 3 *** veselinio Bet 0.25 pedro66 Call 0.25 RayPenber Call 0.25 *** River(Board): *** : [Qd, 5d, 4d, 10c, 7s] *** Bet Round 4 *** veselinio Bet 0.25 pedro66 Call 0.25 RayPenber Raise to 3.75 veselinio Call 3.75 pedro66 Fold *** Showdown *** : Rake: 0.50 Total Pot: 10.00 Nazzari Fold Win: 0.00 Pistolaa Fold Win: 0.00 JohnnyHP [N/A, N/A] Highest card queen Win: 0.00 he$us Fold Win: 0.00 pedro66 Fold Win: 0.00 RayPenber [Ad, 7d] Ace high flush Win: 10.00 corey77 Fold Win: 0.00 Strato1986 Fold Win: 0.00 Carlito* Fold Win: 0.00 veselinio Fold Win: 0.00

Re: Hand Review: 12c/25c (FR) 2 By not betting the flop and the turn I think you've failed to build a pot and to give yourself a chance to get paid off. I'd be tempted to bet both the flop and the turn at a rate which gives good odds for any straight or flush draws to draw - so I'd want to give odds of 2-1 or 5-2 or so on the flop and then about 4-1 or 5-1 on the turn.......that leaves me able to put in a big bet on the river (if they're still around)

Yeah I really feel like how the board came I was lucky to get paid anything here. I know Live there is no chance I would play this hand like I did (Which is where all my cash experience is) I guess I have just seen people fold 95% of the time to raise I wanted to give them a chance to hit/fire again Note: his min bet sht is sooo stupid it really is hopeless strategy however with my limited online experience I havn't had too much experience with it. Its so weak and really seems to serve no purpose but to throw away money (I guess people see it as a block/probe however to be honest I just label that player as likely to have weak and and continue my play as usual... is this wrong?)

Re: Hand Review: 12c/25c (FR) 2 lol ive been playing for a little while now and i still have no clue how to respond to min bets, i just do what i would have done anyway if it was checked round now.. People play monotone flops really badly imo, I play 6 max so im not sure how it well it applies to this hand but when i flop the nuts im trying to get my stack in over 3 streets (and you arent going to do that by flatting for two unless uve hit the jackpot and he has Kxd). You would be surprised how many times people will call you down with two pair thinking you are trying it on with Adx. **** knows what the guy had, he cant have the Kd, so maybe something retarded like 2d3 or something. Hmmmm..

Re: Hand Review: 12c/25c (FR) 2 I feel worse and worse about how i played this the more I think about... I am not this type of player... its a joke I call pre with a drawing hand like A*s primarily looking for a flush and I play it like an absolute monk... This is not me... At a casino I would be potting this min bet mofo... I have to start playing a little more of my natural game online (Atm I am very cautious of how I play each hand and trying not to apply B & M concepts to online as I am positive that is a sure way to lose)

Re: Hand Review: 12c/25c (FR) 2 I agree with the others, should have re-raised the flop as you get a tonne more value from hands and build a bigger pot, it also disguises your hand a little bit as it seems you want to fold out flush draws by raising instead of calling which looks like you're comfortable with a 4th diamond coming. By reraising the flop and turn you get a tonne of value from any high Q's and high diamond draws and on the turn they could have picked up straight draws too, there's just a load of combo draws out there they'll be calling with, and not often folding. 3/4 pot reraise bets on flop and turn then closer to pot on the river i think you get max value.

Re: Hand Review: 12c/25c (FR) 2 Oh yeh the other thing i was going to say is if a 4th diamond does come and you're reraising then your hand is then massively face up as being a big diamond, which will always get small flushes to fold and a lot of the time medium flushes too, with the Qd being there only the Kd or Jd will call down big reraises then. So you get most value from reraising before a 4th d could come. Worth thinking about.
