Not another correct score drip!!!!

I thought I would follow the footsteps of the likes of ScottyXS, Mr Accumulator and Winner4Me. With the footy season getting off to a good start I thought I would start a drip similar to the above where I lay the correct scores and bank half the winnings. For the purpose of the drip I shall be betting to maximum liability after half my winnings have been deducted. For the clarity of this thread I will only be using BetFair and deducting the 5% commission from the winnings. The story so far: Starting Bank: £32.12 (as of yesterday 26th Aug) Bet 1: 27th Aug, Lay Liverpool 3 - Standard 0 £4.50 @ 8 (£31.50 liability) Final score after FT 0-0 :nana Won £4.27 Banked: £2.14 New Balance for betting: £34.26 --------------------------------------------------------------------- Next bet for tommorow Bet 2: 27th Aug Aston Villa 3 - Hafnarfjordur 0 £5.52 @ 7.2 (£34.22 liability) p.s anyone posting to this forum, please be not disheartened if I do not reply until after 20:00, as I cannot access this site from work and can only get on after the kids have been put to bed.

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! Best of luck with this matey and welcome to PL, and the best section in it, the GH section :tongue2 With your initial 2 bets being of much higher probability than what Id be inclined to opt for off-hand, but the odds compensating that, it will certainly make interesting viewing!! :ok

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! :welcome mate. Best of luck with this. :ok I don't do lay bet's on footy mate. I do horse lay bets. Unless you mean laying in general? Just reads like i have done a correct score drip..but it is late...:lol All the best anyhow ;)

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! Lol I may make it look easy at first glance with continuing runs of hundreds correct. But as my pal Mr A proved today, these results do happen, unfortunateley far too often, and these drips can be very unprofitable :( I applaud you on your banking strategy too, I use a similar one, and it does really help things when the inevitable loss comes along. Which hopefully wont be for a while :hope

Oops, sorry for not being clear, I am coming from Laying horses as well but decided to try the correct score drip just to keep things fresh. I have been following your threads for a while to help keep my interest. The horses have started to get a bit stale though after a couple of losing streaks, just need to have a break before resuming at a later date. The last match was a doozy for me, as I work in Liverpool and was scorned upon for laying against their team (being a Manc an'all).

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! Now for a risky one! Bet 3: 29th Aug Man Utd 3 - Zenit St Petersburg 1 £2.30 @ 16.65 (£35.99 liability) I really hate betting on Man U games as they always catch me out. But this is a glory thread so I am just going for it. My aim is for at least 5% profit per match, the above match should return at least 6.39%. Not too shabby.

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! Just thought I would create a quick daily projection spreadsheet to keep me on target. Those tiny percentages soon add up and make a difference. :loon Note: I will update this post entry and keep the values upto date, rather than creating multiple replies with the same data.

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! I think I am going to shake this thread up a little bit once I win the Man U bet. Instead of banking half the winnings, it is all going to be compounded and used as the betting stakes untill 10 sucessfull bets. Once 10 has been reached I will take a little off for the bank and keep going for another 10 bets, then maybe bank a little more. I am going to try and get the best odds available for 3-0, 3-1, 3-2 3-3. Odds below 18 should give me a 5%+ return, odds lower than 9 should give me a 10%+ return. Most matches will be fair game, apart form the U21's and some obscure countries where high scores are a given!! Lets go for glory (or die trying :lol)

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! I know, it's not going to be completely wreckless as it sounds, there will be plenty of research before the bets are placed. After all if I do have a good winning streak the lay amounts will become quite large and even I would kick myself for losing over a silly bet. Hopefully if I put some aside over the course of 10 bets a piece, I will have enough to restart. Where else can you have this much fun for £30? Second thoughts don't answer that :lol Bet 3: 29th Aug Man Utd 3 - Zenit St Petersburg 1 WON £2.30 @ 16.65 (£35.99 liability) Won £2.18 New Balance for betting: £43.81 Total Banked: £0 (betting it all) Wiill update post as soon as I find my next lay.

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! :lol Yup, never mind. Time to reloadthe bank and start again. To be honest I knew I would get caught out with the higher risk bets sooner or later, but I was willing to gamble them. Oh well spilt milk an all that. Time for a nice drink and contemplate tommorow.:beer

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! Well after clearing my head after that shocking loss and reloading my account with another £30, I have been on the recovery. I have now got £22.83 profit from numerous bets, once I reach £30 profit I shall withdraw my recovery £30 and start again. Proof of bets below: Recovery.jpg Not bad for 4 days work, almost doubled my account :clap I found not posting took the pressure off.

Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! Ok time to update this thread with a new glory hunt. I apologise for posting in Aldrics post, but I will continue here. Update so far, restarted glory hunt with £30 and will be laying selective matches only trying not to get caught out. I started Friday 26th Sept and did well until St Patricks v Hertha Berlin which saw my weekends profit wiped out. Therefore I will be employing a banking strategy once I have double my bank again so that I ave a restart bank should things go pearshaped again. Re: Not another correct score drip!!!! I thought I would post this as it helps me keep on track! I keep a page on my spreadsheet with targets for 1%, 2% 3%, 5% and 6.5% so I can see how well I am doing. It is a real eye opener on a good run. Note: On entry 14 I adjusted the amounts to take into account the loss on the St Patricks v Hertha game, this way it keeps the entries level when rebuilding your wealth.
