My records pretty good on Laddies and I am about $1,400 up in the last 10 days or so (mainly from tourneys). I lost on a bad beat last night (only cost me $50 or so) and took your advice as I could have gone all tilty. I switched off the PC and watched the box instead. We'll see what happens tonight. I know some people play really loose for the first hour in the comfort of knwoing they can rebuy. I just think that they inflate the money pot for me. Playing bad cards out of position is a bad move if it is a rebuy tourney or straight knock out IMO. My record in rebuys (which is all I ever play live - not online) is pretty good with me reaching fianls over 50% of the time. Phil Ivey and Negreanu (forgot his first name and cant spell his second :lol ) apparently played in a $1000 tourney and were ultra aggresive going all-in continually in the first hour. Failure meant a rebuy. Success meant they could attain chip leader status and begin to bully the table. Phil Ivey's tactics flopped badly as he didnt make it to the cash positions but the other fella finished 4th for a very nice return on his 'investment'. Jezza Posted July 20, 2004 Author Share Posted July 20, 2004 Re: PL Card Game yup that is a great site, www.pokerpages.com is another one negranaeu had 24 rebuys in that game for a total investment of 24,000 :eek but he got a final table placing for 80k I think so he cant have been too unhappy at his performance!. Afterwards he said his whole idea was to make his table chip rich and then when the buy ins stopped he would be able to outplay everyone at it and win all those chips to set him up with a fantastic chance later on. I cant say I can argue with him because after having watched him play on many a tv program and reading his articles he really does rate for me as one of the best players in the world. I tried the same tactic a week or two ago in a 1 dollar(:lol ) rebuy tourney on bet365. Not because I thought I could outplay everyone afterwards but because I was drunk :o . The outplay afterwards thing is pointless online anyway as your chance of being moved table is very high. Anyway for the rebuy hour all I did was go ALL IN preflop every single hand regardless of what I had. As you might imagine I was called every name under the sun by all the players infuriated I was not letting them play properly with their dollar :moon . Anyway eventually after 25 (!!!) rebuys I did hit a lucky river in, as you might imagine, a massive pot to give me a huge stack of chips. By this point tho out of a tourney of 300 players our table had 6 out of the top 10 chip leaders :lol and a lot of very pissed off players. I played normaly after the break and ended up getting to the final table and finishing 4th for a prize of 27 dollars, a whole 1 dollar profit :ok . On the cash tables I lost $50 to make a grand loss of $83.00 last night. Never mind.
